Thanks for the video. I replaced both headlight assemblies on my wife’s car. The fixtures were easier to remove and replace than I thought they’d be based on your video but the fasteners were mostly more difficult to remove for me than you. Your video made the job easy.
Great video... Much appreciated. Just a note. When I replaced mine, I removed that strip of plastic on the bumper that runs from headlamp to headlamp. Two fasteners and some clips. Made the assembly come right out without any obstruction...
Excellent presentation, sir. You even mentioned disconnecting the negative battery terminal. I liked the detail of those wire harness connectors as well. Very clear with good audio as well.
$85. And the shop reconditioned my lenses and it lasted 3yrs. the headlights looked like new. Very pleased and I didn't do anything but sit for 1 hour while it was done. Time to do it again but cost has increased. Need to find a shop that is reasonable as I'm in a new state.
thank you so much Trick, my old headlights where way to foggy i tried to clean them and it was no use. picked up some awesome headlights and some LED bulbs and its amazing its night and day with how much i can see at night. again thank you so much for this amazing walk through the details where amazing and very easy to go step by step with you!
That's up to you. If you want to keep the factory headlights and save some money, you can clean them. I cleaned these up and they look great. Or, you can check out aftermarket units on Amazon for relatively cheap.
@@TrickShiftGarage I get it. I'm just not one of them guys to take a part off unless it is necessary. Of course that's just me. Just a heads up is all. Keep up the good work 💯
@@GStreezyaccidents can happen. You can be doing something unrelated to the batter and still get shocked or fry the electronics in the car if something happens. It's best to just disconnect when doing ANYYHING electrical
What is that plastic peace under the headlight called, and can you replace it without removing the whole headlight? I believe that is what the bumper clips into. The clips/tabs on it broke for me so i need replacement
Not every clip is the exact same size. Some fit perfectly in one hole but are too big in another. That's why a kit like the one I put in the description is so valuable. You can always go to your local Honda Dealer and get new clips from them, but that's going to be more expensive. It's up to you! Thanks for watching! 🤟
@@TrickShiftGarage Did you need all three sets of clips you linked? I bought the first set linked and different kit of 240 pieces that fits Honda as well.
Is it not possible to detach the mounting bracket off of the headlamp assembly first before trying to wiggle it out to disconnect? Seems that would be easier.
@@TrickShiftGarageno, you just mention how to take em off. Regardless, good to know. Also what I really appreciate about the video is the time that you took to explain how the electrical connectors are removed by showing the part that you have to push down. So many videos take that kind of thing for granted. The arrows you put in the freeze frame also help tremendously. Great attention to detail.
In case you still want ideas about getting the headlight out - as you mention after you wrestled that guy loose, you can easily take the lower plastic bracket off with two 10mm bolts. Just remove those so it's two pieces and you'll have the flexibility to get it out without much hassle :)
@@rbnrdz with the front bumper off, you should be able to use a wrench to get to the two 10mm bolts. There are little slots/journals in the bracket and frame to get the wrench in there. A ratcheting wrench is suggested, but a regular one works too :)
Remove the plastic piece that sits in front of the radiator in which the front of bumper is behind it. Headlight will be much easier to take out. Hope this helps😁
@@TrickShiftGarage went amazingly well props to you man I’m 16 and never worked on my vehicle myself and your tutorial taught me a lot. I got them on and working just need to run up to autozone tomorrow so I can go get some bumper pins

Just wanted to mention that there is a hole in the fender liner that allows you to access the two screws on the ends of the bumper so you don’t have to bother peeling it back.
This video is a game changer. Your instructions were so clear and easy to follow. I give this video 10 thumbs up!!!

Great production job on this video. Super easy to follow.

They are just headlight brackets. I think you can remove it without removing the headlights.

Where i can get the headlight with bracket and front bumper?
Ebay, Amazon, junkyard or a Honda dealer.
Can you pleases share a link for the exact clips? The clips in the description are all different sizes- not sure which one to get

Great video! Did you have enough push clips to complete the job with the 6 sizes pack you've linked?
Oh yea, I had some left over too. I even used some of the clips for my truck a couple of a weeks ago. Those clip packs are very convenient.

Did you take steps to re-aim the headlights? If so, how?
Didn't need to. I did not replace the bulbs, nor did I mess with the housing like that.
