- People have been asking for an OEM audio interface for the Accord now for a long time. Well we finally gave in and did the research. Here are the results. Please note that this particular video is just proof of concept. Further testing needs to be done to test other Accord applications. Current applications are 2010 EX-L and EXL-V6 ONLY. Navigation models have yet to be tested.
That's amazing! You guys did something that the technicians in Honda couldn't figure out.
Works like a charm in my 2010 EX-L V6.
Install as shown in the video, installing in the glove compartment will not require any drilling etc, but its a real pain to take out each time you park.
@ZACH OCEGUERA 2010 Accord 4dr EX-L & EX-L V6 ONLY. Not applicable for Navigation models.
@incantalupo92 In theory yes. Any time you add something to a vehicle that it was not originally intended Honda can void the warranty. That is assuming that what broke is a result of what you installed.
This works with 2010 EX-L and EXLV6 models ONLY.
I know I’m a bit late, but are there similar installation kits that haven’t been discontinued
my Honda does not have XM and the iSimple interface did not work. Just an FYI to anyone wanting to do this, it would save you a big headache to not get one if your radio doesn't have XM.
Hey guys, thanks for the video...is there any current options to order these parts for my Accord? You have one on your website but doesn't look the same
Friend of mine has the 2012 accord , with satnav screen ( and leather, can't remember the spec. Has a USB Cable female socket in the armrest compartment Copied music on to 64mgb usb stick in mp3 format and folder structure \artist\album name\ tracks ..... . Turned ignition off, plugged usb stick into female socket, turned iginition on , 2 clicks, waited for 1 minutes, pressed aux - works really well. Artist, album abd track name come up in sat nav screen, and can be skipped or changed by artist , album or track. sound quality is decent,
Also works the same on my 2010 Civic , 2.2 diesel CDX ;, except I have no sat nav screen so get 10 characters in the small screen for album / artist ,tab through on [select] button next to CD drive. All free , no extras required.
Both offer basically the same functions. The response time on the Accord USB interface is a little faster though.
I would guess the Nav models have different wiring as the screen is a larger full-color LCD panel instead of the smaller monochrome LED panel on the models without. Just a guess, I'm not a car audio tech.
For this application we are using the kit from the Honda Fit.
That would be a question for a Honda engineer. All I know is that we tried it and it did not work. If I had to guess it would probably be because of software.
2:28 - one of my radio bolts broke when taking it off and it’s stuck in there. Anyone know what I could do for that?
We can't post a link here. If you can't find it please call the phone number at the end of the video.
This USB interface has been tested in all models and will only work in the 2010 EX-L and EX-LV6.
Can I get a link to purchase
A 2010 head unit from one of those two vehicles, in theory yes.
Hmmm am I mistaken but is this included in the 2012 Ex-L V6? In the center console.
@seongoh You could check with your dealer but my guess is most will not want to do it.
@levis bakalinsky - It will not work on the LXP. You would need something like this instead. www.collegehillshonda.com/product/PA15-HON2.html
Wow...Great Job......
What's the part number? Nothing comes up for "Honda Accord USB Audio Interface"
Hi. I've got USB cable installed on my Honda. Please help me how to navigate to the memory stick with mp3.
Thanks for the video, Will this work on the 2011 Honda Accord with the basic radio. (no XM, no CD changer)?
Just AM/FM CD Player and AUX
What is the difference between the Accord Unit USB Interface and PIE IPod adapter? Which one do you think is better?
Will this void the warranty?
@chinkyphong Only EX-L and EXLV6. No Navi.
We have not tested this in a coupe.
@Jayzdel It will not work on NAVI models.
I keep seeing people say this doesn't work in Accords with NAVI, does anybody know why it wont work? You would think there would be one for the ones with NAVI. I have a 2009 EX-L.
@Iwatch22 If its the same kind of module that's in my EX Civic, then yes an iPhone will work with it.
Where can i buy this interface kit.
ok thanks for the help.......would you happen to know the part number for the usb module???
I'm sorry but we won't be doing any aftermarket radio installs.
pretty cool will this void any warrenties if done by yourself?
I looked for the module on the website but couldn't find it, please could you post a direct link? Thanks!
2010 EX-L and EXL-V6 only without NAV.
Why will this NOT work with models with nav?
my honda accord do not have 3.5mm aux port but it had a usb port . need oem 3.5mm port.
Yes it will.
Is this the correct part number: Part # 08A28-0K1-100_08B28-TK6-110 (Honda Fit 2009-2010 USB adapter)? Also, Is the 2 port sub-harness included in the kit? I don't see it listed. I've got the 2010 EX-L v6 with XM and no navigation.
I would call, but it's Saturday night and I'll surely forget come Monday or Tuesday...
nestea92 Correct part numbers however the attachment kit 08B28-TK6-110 has recently been discontinued.

Unfortunately some of these components have been discontinued by Honda.

I'd love to get this on my 2010 accord coupe ex-l, but I'm too afraid to pull the parts off myself. Where can I go to get this done professionally? Should my dealer's service center be able to do the job?
I have a Honda Accord 2010 EX-L. I suppose this also work with Iphone.
man were the hell did you get the 14 pin male to male cable
I can't find that thing ANYWHERE....
The Y-Harness? It looks like Honda still has a few of them left. 08A31-0F1-000.

You say in the video that you took a USB interface from a 2010 EX-L and it installed it in a 2008 LX, is this correct? Can I then assume that this same procedure will work for my 2008 Accord EX-L-V6?
do you know if it will work on a 2008 EX-L no navi???????
Link? And do you think there’s an USB interface for 08 LX-P ?
This product is unfortunately no longer available.

I have a Honda Accord 2008 ex model with no xm. is it possible with my car and can I play music from android phone instead
no
any word if this will work on 2011 SE??? I was hoping you guys will try it out lower model accords. now that its a standard feature on 2012 i am assuming it has to work.!! unless maybe firmware on 2012 radio is different.
I went to the scrap yard the other day I'm taking the USB cords off a 2012 I'm trying to transfer it to my 2008 Honda Accord V6
Does the USB charge at the same time?
Will this work on CANADIAN Honda Accord 2010 Coup EXL. If anyone has tried it please share your experience.
Do you know how I could do this on a Honda 2010 Lx ?
Is the kit still available for a 2009 EX L V6 6mt with navi?

the whole usb control unit kit i mean.
For which vehicle?
2009 Honda accord coupe EXL
Kenny Ang This specific kit is for the 2010 EX-L and EXLV6 sedan ONLY. If you want to fiddle with a USB control unit you can grab one out of the 11-12 Accord. Keep in mind that this is just the control unit. No other parts. 39113-TC0-921
Honda makes the best selling Accord for the over a decade or so, best engine and design and THEY dont even know it usb function can work with their radio? WTF is that? I own a 6gen lx and if I wanted to buy this car I would want this to be standard, if no Id go aftermarket right away...plain stupid
Are these extra parts Honda OEM or aftermarket?
2010 EX-L and EXL-V6 only without NAV.
I have an 08 EX-L with satellite XM, will it work with that?
