@@samuelodan2376 I am I'm talking about a stereo that replaces the factory radio. If you do this the clock won't really work. This mod to me isn't worth it but a 10" display in the place of the stock radio is a better place for the screen
Some things I learned from hooking up this unit in my 2010 Honda Accord EX-L: 1) Apple CarPlay does exist! You just have to click apps in the Android interface > then CarLink (I was afraid at first that I purchased the wrong item! lol) 2) After hooking all available wires, I noticed my AC and remote control (that unlocks/locks my doors) stopped working. I learned that you don't need to use all the wires. I removed the the adapter/wire that connected to my AC climate control unit (this is the one with the extra red/white cables that say AUX IN). Just use the OEM connection to your climate control, or else your car will act kinda funky (and hot) 3) Although the video skipped the part where everything was hooked up (GPS, USB, 4G antennas, etc), you'll figure it all out eventually because the parts won't connect if it's not the right shape. All adapters were uniquely shaped 4) I don't know what the two black 4G cables were for (they're the ones with a black flat piece connected), so I removed it and it didn't mess up anything. I'm guessing these are antennas for cellular connection (if SIM is inserted) , but not sure 5) Do follow the instructions in the video to mount the OEM display first > then AC middle unit > then the head unit. Getting the head unit on was a b, but I learned a slight trick.. You need to make sure the top of the head unit aligns and the rest will follow. I had to use quick force (like a push/slap LOL) to get it snap in place 6) I did not have to buy any extra parts. With that said, when your device/box arrives, make sure you don't lose any of the things they provided!
Its a good piece but because there is no screws holding it place, it may fall out at some point. Thats the case for mine now fell out once and won't go back in again. Snap on is just not good enough if you drive quick.

For anyone that’s having issue with sound and got the wrong connector (the 20 pin), just order a rca to aux cable and plug it into the female rca plug they gave you that connects to the new unit. Connect it to the two aux out female rca plugs and plug it into the aux port in the center console. I just ran the wire under the cup holder plastic. Best way around it that I found and works perfect. Also make sure your car is off when you’re working on it, if your AC went out you probably blew a fuse. You can go underneath the driver side by the pedals and there’s a fuse box to replace the fuse. Hope that helps anyone.
I did get a 12 pin connector that has red and white male RCA cables on it. I don't see them using it in the video. Did you use it in yours. Currently did the method you mentioned and it works. Just wondering if there was some incorporation of the 12 pin cable I got that needed to be done instead

but now, I'm looking for a new unit because it stopped working. The company is saying unit is not compatible to ISO 17+ software. Which is incorrect, as the initial setup was connected to ISO 17+
I just got my kit and was attempting to install it today but it was missing the screws, y display/headunit cable, and came with the incorrect aux y cable. I'd be cautious ordering from them.
its a little overrated i got a 10" Boss unit in my 09 and it fits where the factory radio is. Swivels and moves up and down and its easier to touch than this one I presume (closer). Also, this unit is said to not deliver that much power, so you would want a aftermarket radio to replace your existing stock radio. This adds up in cost. I payed 360 for the BOss unit, and an extra 70 for a steering wheel control kit. The downside is my clock no longer works and also i can't mirror my phone to it easily without a rooted phone and some apps. But, you don't really want to be watching movies anyways in your car I use it for my job with android auto. I did buy one of these and it got sent to me from China however i was not at all impressed by the instructions and the fact they did not send all the cables needed (the big cable was not there). I even plugged the yellow video jack into an external monitor and the video showed up fine there. I am wondering if I have a defective video cable jack on the unit or there is a setting I am missing?
hey 20:01 can you control the volume from the wheel as well ? I have an EXL model and I was told if I change the original radio , the features on the wheel wouldn’t work
Only the controls of your original radio will work. The Android unit should work with it but it does not. If you buy a unit like this, look for one that has a small external grey colored box. that should communicate with the CANBUS of the car. Also, this android unit will pop out of your dashboard if you hit a pothole (done that, been there, twice)! Is your EXL with NAV? This unit will not work! Anyway, there are better options out for 350USD.
This looks sweet ... I'm pretty curious about a few things - Does this fit on the Accord w/ Navi? - Can you use the voice control button on the wheel for stuff like Siri? - Can you use the Agma Launcher? - Can you change the boot logo?
I don't know if you've done it yet, but you can go to your nearest Best Buy and they will have auto installers that do this kinda thing all day. They can tell what you can and can't do with the Navigation system, and the exact specifications of the headunit you'd need. Even what wiring stuff you'd need for say steering wheel controls and that kinda thing. I'm going to have my car done there soon because they'll install mine for free.

Have you done a dual din ( top and bottom) monitor install? My question is, how to get them both to work. My idea comes from the 350Z setup, and I wanted to do that in my 2011 Accord. Any thoughts on that.
Yeah you can definitely do something like that but it's so niche. Actually on my nsx, my friend wants me to do a android double din up in the "oem navigation radio pod" location and then keep the stock oem radio.
What if you already have an aftermarket head unit installed and you wan to add the 10.1 at the top? I've only see it in a photo but never a video, is that possible to do?
would definitely ask you whether you would take a iDoing or Joying or Dasaita! Dasaita has PX6 while these have UIS7862. Could you tell us what the differences are? Pros and Cons?

I have a 2011 honda accord ex-l and i previously used a bluetooth adapter for music because it sounded much better than the default radio. Now that i have the bluetooth adapter and the carplay unit, it sounds super screechy when both are plugged in. When i unplug the bluetooth adapter and just using the carplay, it sounds like how my original radio sounds which is horrible. Is there a way to go back to the bluetooth audio while having the carplay still plugged in?
If I have an Audio imbalance when I use an aux cord (left side speakers are much quieter than right), would this be the case after installing this CarPlay unit? I don’t have this issue when I use the radio. I was thinking it’s due to the aux port being damaged but idk.I want to install this but I am scared that my audio will be imbalanced after installation which would really suck.
Hey! I just installed mine into my accord today and love it! The only concern I have is that my climate control doesn’t seem to be working properly. The AC and heat work, but the controls don’t show up on the old display at the bottom anymore which is frustrating because I live in a very cold climate and need to know when my heat is working and in what area of the car. Just got my 2008 Honda Accord v6 this week can’t wait to try this
think it works?
If no nav, it should work
Can I fit this in my 2008 Honda Accord coupe
I recently purchased a very similar unit to install in my 2010 Honda Accord and when I tell you, this video helped out tremendously. Thank you, Thank you and Thank you!! There were only a couple differences but no biggie figuring out.
What unit did you buy do you mind sharing the link and price?
I’m interested too. Please share the unit you purchase and link
but now, I'm looking for a new unit because it stopped working. The company is saying unit is not compatible to ISO 17+ software. Which is incorrect, as the initial setup was connected to ISO 17+
What is the separate harness for? Do I need it? I just purchased my screen and don’t want to take apart everything to find out I need a missing part.
I was able to hook everything up and it looks great and works but my steering wheel buttons stopped working. Any ideas? Thanks for the video!
Did you fix this, now my steering wheel command contro lboth old and new radio :(
Would you rather get this over the daisata head unit?
Any suggestions on a more affordable CarPlay head unit?
amazing!!! bro so does everything you need come with this unit or what would i have to buy separately?
Everything comes with it just got mine today
@@J0K3R509 did you order off of AliExpress
@@anthonyroberts4996 yes took about a week to get it
Everything is included! You are going to love the display. Even puts my tesla to shame 😅
I just got my kit and was attempting to install it today but it was missing the screws, y display/headunit cable, and came with the incorrect aux y cable. I'd be cautious ordering from them.
Do all the Y harness wires and the clear plastic for covering the old screen and everything needed , come with the purchase of the new unit?
I want to do this to my Accord but scared I’ll mess something up 😭
Lol, you'll be alright.
iT'S simple after you do it for a while, just take your time. Took an hour my first time now I can do it in 15mins
its a little overrated i got a 10" Boss unit in my 09 and it fits where the factory radio is. Just save your money and buy a name brand 10" radio and you will be better off. Unless you fear the clock being blank or having to do wiring (its not hard just if your colorblind) .
@@justshady taking everything out looked easy but then he started talking about all the cables and crap and I got confused and lost all my confidence in trying myself
@@justshady just installed it for the first time. Yesterday took me 4 hours but today I redid it for fun and finished in 30 mins 💀
I have purchased this unit and install went great. However, my review camera does not display on screen. I wired in the reverse light trigger and that works, just no picture from the camera. I even plugged the yellow video jack into an external monitor and the video showed up fine there. I am wondering if I have a defective video cable jack on the unit or there is a setting I am missing?
would you take iDoing over Dasaita based on all of your experiences?
hey 20:01 can you control the volume from the wheel as well ? I have an EXL model and I was told if I change the original radio , the features on the wheel wouldn’t work
Only the controls of your original radio will work. The Android unit should work with it but it does not. If you buy a unit like this, look for one that has a small external grey colored box. that should communicate with the CANBUS of the car. Also, this android unit will pop out of your dashboard if you hit a pothole (done that, been there, twice)! Is your EXL with NAV? This unit will not work! Anyway, there are better options out for 350USD.
@@RonaldvanArkel hey ok that sucks thanks for the reply and no I have a 2010 model no nav unfortunately
@@cellzz3537 just got my unit, steering wheel controls work, just plug in the green cable from your car to the head unit
Yes, you can.
Where do u get the trim piece for the bottom
Does this work if the accord already has a navigation system ?
I don't think so since the space for installing the unit would be different
This looks sweet ... I'm pretty curious about a few things
- Does this fit on the Accord w/ Navi?
- Can you use the voice control button on the wheel for stuff like Siri?
- Can you use the Agma Launcher?
- Can you change the boot logo?
I don't know if you've done it yet, but you can go to your nearest Best Buy and they will have auto installers that do this kinda thing all day. They can tell what you can and can't do with the Navigation system, and the exact specifications of the headunit you'd need. Even what wiring stuff you'd need for say steering wheel controls and that kinda thing. I'm going to have my car done there soon because they'll install mine for free.
@@ian.williamson Best Buy does it for free ooh hell yeah
@@natthaphonnoble7946 nah you gotta have their $200 a year membership and they’ll do it if you buy the stuff from there. Sometimes it saves money but sometimes not, I already have the membership so it’s free
Where do I get the y adapter? And where do I get the shroud around the screen to fit my 09 accord? I bought the 10.1 android radio on ebay. But I need a wiring harness and mounting kit for screen. Plz help sir
any chance you found out?
are you able to install a backup camera on this setup?
Yup
dont be afraid of wiring one of those up I did and it was one of the easiest things I ever done electrically
@@ItsTheLemur you connect the trip wire for the reverse light to the wire that goes with the AV cable. It should be a small wire thst goes with the very long video wire. There should be a tag for the harness which explans which one is the reverse trip wire. Should be in the manual. Its not difficult.
Title say 2008 but link says 2009 and on. Would this fit the 2008 model
My head unit is loose and keeps coming off and idk how to fix it in. Can someone help ?
May need to replace the plastic plate/frame which hold the unit.
Did you find a solution to this? The clips don't seem to fit properly on mine, so the head unit doesn't fasten to the dashboard.
@@aflyingcougar8290 I ended up hot gluing it bro and it’s all set now
@@Shiroyashasama I used the same method. But I don't think it is reliable solution,so I decide to buy other type of head Unit to replace it.

Hello good morning you will know where the Flasher directional and emergency lights go because I can't find it Honda Acoord 2008
Question where did you get the bottom platic cover to mount the lcd screen(the one that used to be at the top).
It came with the kit
how are you still able to display info on the bottom stock unit? i have aftermarket one but my display no longer shows anything other than the climate controls and can you still control sound options with stock unit?
I need that on my 2012 Accord
Does it work for regular 8th gen accords or only crosstours ?

Do you provide the aux cable for Android head unit with Honda accord SE 2012 which gas single cd oem radio?

What is your location? I would definitely pay you for this same installation in my 09 accord !!
recently purchased an android 10.1 screen for 2011 Honda Accord SE 2.4L, and installed it, wired everything with the splitter cables provided by the seller. (power cables and screen extender), screen cable was short but somehow managed it without installing the screws on the bottom of the stereo. (screen cable being too short prevented me from getting to the bottom) everything seemed to work on the radio and screen but when i turned on my lights I heard a pop by the passenger footwell.. inside illumination fuse #6 blew out. tried this again happened again.. 3 fuses later can you assist..? has anyone u run into this before..? could it be the harness..? am I doing something wrong..? john can you help..?
I had the same issue , do you know what the issue is , my central locking also stopped working
did you get a 20 pin aux connector or a 12 pin aux connector..?

This one has wireless car play or do I have to get a separate price for it
Just set mine up it’s built in wireless CarPlay

I just bought my idoing head unit from allieexpress. After hooking everything up per your instructions, I can’t get any sound on my new head unit. When I select AUX on the Honda buttons, it says no data on the old screen. Sound works on am/fm, but no sound on the new head unit. Do you know what could have gone wrong?
What I had to do was plug an AUX cable that plugs into nothing inside the center console. That changed the "No Data" to AUX for me.
@@sonnarasar8147 did you get a 12 pin wire in the packaging that has two male RCA cables on it. I don't see them use it in the video but I have that cable. I had to do the trick you mentioned to get mine to work
How do you get the top part to clip in?
Good one install a single den stereo and this display device so I could have the performance and sound quality for my subsystem, but the convenience of the nice display ran through ox with something like that work or would it be too complicated to possibly might not fit in the supplied housing
I would recommend checking the dimensions of the housing before you buy!
Thank you for the great video. Does the setup come with a backup camera?
No you need to buy
@ 15 mins and 17 secs. Where does that black wire coming off the red and white av cords go to? Does it go back into the middle console where the Audio jack plug is?
@John Nguyen, do you need to get a separate harness for wiring or is that included as well?
Did you find the anwser?
Do you need to buy Y adapters along with the new display? Or is it all there and you just unplug and plug back into the new display
I bought it and i have 2 issues:
Bluetooth connection works well with music
Bluetooth connection with phone calls i can't hear anything but mic is working and the can hear me
The other issue is android auto is only working wired, not working wireless
Is it the same with Apple CarPlay? Or does CarPlay work wirelessly?

I’m sometimes very hesitant to buy from a brand I don’t know especially when not many reviews are given. How has this unit responded for you after the years?
Looks slick. I couldn’t justify the price though especially being a Chinese off brand company, comparatively to doing a regular replacement with something like a Kenwood or Pioneer
How much is the kenwood or the pioneer ?
If you have model number will be fantastic
true pricey af
How will something like this work if you have an existing Navigation (DVD) modelled EX-L Accord ('08)? Will all of the controls that ran through the existing nav screen run through this screen now? Thanks so much!

Hi John, Thanks for the video. This gave a good idea. I have Honda Accord 2009 LX model. I bought similar product. but the Aux cable is different. Need some help. Please let me know how to reach you.
did u figure it out
Oh man, so many of got the same problem.
After installing, my ac or heater doesn’t work. The lights on the climate control stay on but non of the buttons work. I check the fuses and the curses are good. I even took out the screen and hooked up everything back to the original way and still having the same problem.

This screen is a head unit or an accessory that connects to the car head unit ?

You're amazing John, but I'd probably still F this up. Thanks for the video!
Hey John Nguyen, my accord euro has an actual oem screen that shows reverse camera, gps and other gimmicks. but will a modern headunit work with what I have?
In aux mode can u change the songs from the steering controls?
Yes
I have a 2011 honda accord ex-l and i previously used a bluetooth adapter for music because it sounded much better than the default radio. Now that i have the bluetooth adapter and the carplay unit, it sounds super screechy when both are plugged in. When i unplug the bluetooth adapter and just using the carplay, it sounds like how my original radio sounds which is horrible. Is there a way to go back to the bluetooth audio while having the carplay still plugged in?
How did you make for your steering wheel command not to go crazy, now my volume changes the car mode, they contro lboth the old and new radio
Hopefully you have an idea of what the possible issue is. Thanks!
Hi John! Your tutorial was very inspirational for me; great job! I have a couple of issue with AUX I thing I don't have an entrance for it 🙄. What I need to do now
I would check if you have a factory navigation system. It could be on the back of the unit.
Ok this is cool but how do you control the AC without the center screen???
how is the “clock” powered? i didnt see you unplug or plug anything into it.
Hi John. I just bought this type of head unit but I am having a hard time clipping the head unit to the clip. Any tips?
I'm having the issue where it doesn't stay pressed/clipped into the dashboard and will fall out really easily. Did you figure out anything with yours?
