How to install and use Pure Bluetooth Kit for Honda Accord 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 model years. Using this kit you can take/place hands free calls and wirelessly stream audio. You can also use car controls to switch calls and answer/hang up the phone. This kit supports any bluetooth mobile phones including but not limited to iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, HTC, Blackberry, Windows Mobile.
IMPORTANT: At 3:09, after pulling out the little shelf, he neglects to mention that there are two screws down there holding in the head unit. They are pretty hard to see as they're angled upwards. They're Phillips screws but they can also be removed with an 8 mm socket. Don't try to pull out the head unit before removing these!

2:38 he actually mentions the two screws, you're right he doesn't show how to or that he did remove them but he does mention them.
I wish I'd read your comment prior to installing my kit. I couldn't understand why, in the video, the radio unit simply lifted up and out after the side screws were removed. After nearly breaking my radio I finally noticed the two screws, and thought "what the hell, I'll remove those and see what happens". A colossal MISSED step in the GTA video. The video also fails to mention additional electrical connections for the first panel removal should the Accord have seat warmers. A simple comment, MISSED.
Did the install today and works great and the only hiccup was I did not read the comments about the back screws on the bottom side of the radio . It took me a minute and read a Crutchfield guide that noted the two screws and where they were at but real happy with the purchase .
For the EX-L model, there are additional steps. You can find instructions for removing the stereo online. Also EX-L model, one needs to use the category button to switch to aux. Works great.

Hi guys at GTA. Thanks for the great video. It was easy to install and no broken clips or plastic bits. One thing to note for Australian customers if you do get them. At least this is what I found. Besides the 2 screws at the lower front you need to take out to remove the radio, there are 2 more facing upwards near the back of the radio. They are easy to get out, just got to know they are there. All works as described.
Dude, a small Bluetooth to aux adapter in the center glovebox, one to aux, one to the usb cable for power. The phone pairs and select aux. that’s it. 20 bucks. Works and sounds great.

You should have showed that there were 2 additional 8mm screws underneath the stereo because if you don't remove them the stereo will not come out!

I have a 2012 Honda accord ex-l with navi... i wish there was a direct plugin Bluetooth module that that gave me A2DP only, and allowed me to keep my factory hands free USB etc.

nope. he is not showing everything there's two more screws under the radio that you must remove, if you don't the radio wont come off.

Hi. I purchased a GTA bluetooth kit and installed it and works great. My only question is, every time I leave the car w/ my phone and come back, I always have to turn bluetooth off and on and reconnect to bluetooth. AM I doing something wrong? Shouldn't it reconnect automatically? Thanks.
If you do not have a cd changer, you will only have 2 8 mm bolts that need removing on the cd changer bracket. If this is too brutal, remove the left panel and you have a clear line of sight to place the plug into the bracket (Honda new gen only 2008 - 2012). Also if you have the module with the dip switches you will want to wire it into the pockets which also make it easier for the mp3 player as well.

Why to do all of this, while you can buy a 15 dollar aux to Bluetooth adapter , plug it the aux and usb for power, and thats it

you can buy the FM Transmitter and connect that device to your cigarette lighter which works as a bluetooth device.
Hi! I bought Honda Accord 2008. It has this cord with USB female connection. I hooked up a USB memory stick with songs to it. It somehow played those songs, but when I tried to do it second time I couldn't navigate to the USB card again. Could you explain how to do it, please. I remember I need to navigate from CD to CDP, I guess, or CDC. Just can't figure it out..

GG Finesse I've tried various ones and a Bluetooth that goes to aux is a pain in the ass because then it has to stay charged from 12v to microUSB to the device, then there's also the fact that the Bluetooth to aux ones aren't as fluid/quick to pair. Depending on the kind you have to turn on the car then press a button to turn on the Bluetooth to aux device. I'm really glad i just stumbled upon this because this is adding a natural like Bluetooth to the car so as long as it was on that mode, the second you start the car then it's going Bluetooth will pair immediately, super convenient
The point of this went so far over your head. This is the only system that I've seen that integrates with the factory steering wheel controls.

Forget both. Get a Pioneer wireless Carplay/Android auto head unit and a backup camera, maybe a front camera. Your Accord will be more advanced than 99% of cars on the road.
How clear is the audio while driving. Does it pick up a lot of road noise?

Hi, you do not have to connect the microphone, but when somebody will call you, the phone call will go over bluetooth and if you try to talk to the person they wont hear you without microphone. Otherwise you dont need it to stream music.

Question: Why does my Accord have a different configuration compared to other Accords of the same year/Gen? Mine has a small screen at the bottom. I bought the car from a private owner and I forgot to ask him about it. Mine is basically missing all the buttons and knobs below the AC controls.

@@danithaman4610 Got it thanks. That's what I did with mine. I have a Bluetooth adaptor for the aux port in the car and it seems louder with that compared to a device like this that gets plugged into the CD input. Wasnt sure if Aux is usually louder than a CD.
@@Jay91Byrd nice. Just to let you know, the device shown in the video works well. I have had mine for about 5 years. I didn’t have any problems with it until about a few months ago when it sometimes doesn’t connect to my phone.
