I just bought a 2008 Accord EX-L with 55k miles and this is the first thing I wanted to do. Thanks.
How much was that car?
@@roderickhockaday5715 10.5k cash
@@roderickhockaday5715 probably around 9k if its in good condition
@@roderickhockaday5715Mine was $10K with 43K miles on it. Bought it about two months ago.
Terrible, the year is more important
thank you for this video John. I bought the dasaita scout for my 2010 accord and installed myself it with a backup camera based on this video. I’m so pleased with it , it gave the car new life and so happy. Thanks!
With back up camera????
@@bigh8121 yea , it takes additional work but it’s fairly straightforward. It certainly makes this head unit so much more effective
@@JomyGeorge I have to look into that thank you.
How did you hook up the backup camera? What cables did you use to power it?
@@joephob1728 bro did u got the solution
This is one of the most thoughtful thorough videos on RUclips. Thanks John hey
Great video. Thank you for explaining. Got mine connected with no issues. Can you do a video with the same radio unit and the same car explaining how to connect back up cameras?
Thank you for this video! Just completed this install - it was my 5th touch screen w/ backup camera I've done. The Dasaita wiring harness was the easiest install I've ever used (better than Pioneer, Boss, other cheap knockoffs). Camera install was simple. Everything took a little over 3 hours to do start to finish. The Dasaita head unit looks amazing. Highly recommend!
Glad i was able to help! This is one of the more difficult installs so i'm glad you were able to do it!
Hi. Do you know how to get the car logo from the dasiata head unit? Mine doesn't have any logos in it. It just came with the android logo. If you cane help me with this? Thank you
how do you mount the screen i haven’t figured it out
Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to make this video. The unit I got didn't come with any instructions at all but I was able to do the install successfully using your video.
You're welcome!
I know it was a lot of work to record this and post. Thanks for doing so!
I Watched This From Start To Finish, All I Can Say Is Oh - My - God!
I was just thinking about upgrading my honda accord 11’ and i happened to stumble on your channel. My name is John Nguyen too btw du maaa 🤣
haha, what's up twin!
Thinking of getting one of these... does everything come with the unit from their website? Or is it extra to add all the wiring harnesses?
Thanks for making this! very clear and easy to understand!
Where did all those wires come from behind the new OEM? Also can you post a video of how to do the USB mount? For this CarPlay, is it wireless or do you need to be plugged in to a USB? Could you show more with the CarPlay set up with Apple CarPlay?
Great video, how’s everything working after a year? Lastly, how is the sound when hooked up to a sub/speaker
I recently installed one of these in my car took a risk on a cheaper one I saw on eBay and it’s working great so far
Hi, could you share the link of yours. I also would like a cheaper one
@@fenggu2767 did u got something?

Hey for anyone who didn’t up having a slot to put that aux harness, I ended up taking an aux cord and running it into the center console and it actually worked
I got that problem, what did you do ?
@@josemite_ I went to Walmart and got a long aux cord and red and yellow audio cables and ran it down into the center console. Downside is you’ll probably have to drill a hole into the console itself like I did just to get the aux cord plugged in. Might be a better way around this problem but that’s what I did
Good idea. My head Unit didn't come with those front R/L and failed to get sound.
Where’d you plug the other end of the aux into
@@fenggu2767how did u fix this?
Thank you for the awesome step by step video. It's very helpful; however, the unit you linked in the Amazon store it showed that this particular unit is only for 2008 to 2011. Does it actually work on a 2012 Honda Accord SE model that has no talk switch on the steering wheels? Thank you!
If you want to update the head Unit, I would suggest the new head units since the housing plastic can be screwed to the car and is much safer. While those old kit only uses clips and it could be shakes out off the car!! It happened twice!
Where can I find one for Crosstour 2013?
Where can I find one?? Can you send me a link?

John, great video as usual. I have question on daisaita head unit, are you able to get volume control by gps speed working on it?
It's not a feature i use, but from my experience in the past it does work.
Good, a question, the function of the volume steering wheel, changing the music with this radio, still works.
Damn that looks awesome I definitely will get one soon
My question is will this work with an aftermarket radio in my accord? My oem headunit has been replaced with a double din touch screen but it’s outdated. And 2 screens would be cool.
How is the headunit secured into position? As far as I could see there are no screws so it could fall at any time...
Does the steering volume work? And connecting to right and left front speakers with the RCA cables, does the OEM subwoofer still wirk
What and amazing video. I want to do that in my 2012 Honda EX-L v6 coupe .I’m wondering how much would be in parts and labor. It’s amazing
bonjour ma accord possede un grand écran gps en haut et un petit écran au milieu???est ce compatible en conservant toutes les options de commande au volant et caméra de recule svp ?
Quick question does this fit the honda accord crosstour 2010 exl non navigation buttons
I gotta do that to mine! That looks so good
If I have an Audio imbalance when I use an aux cord (left side speakers are much quieter than right), would this be the case after installing this CarPlay unit? I don’t have this issue when I use the radio. I was thinking it’s due to the aux port being damaged but idk.I want to install this but I am scared that my audio will be imbalanced after installation which would really suck.
will this fit the crosstour. does it have an option for a back up camera?
Do they make this option for a relocate of the 2008 OEM NAVI?... I'd love to put in a modern touchscreen like this method and move the old screen to the bottom.
Does the bottom little screen come with the new head unit and do they make one for iPhone
Hey, John, I'm having a problem with the radio no power or function at all how to make it work or have to replace the factory radio and make it work...
Have the same car but it’s with nav could I still instal this head unit and use my oem backup camera?
Do i have the only honda accord with a navigation unit instead of a clock? I bought a kit from a local store but i need adapters. Thinking about getting this unit honestly.
Hi, will this screen help us with a backup camera display aswell?
Can you recommend a new head unit for a 2016 Honda Pilot? Really would love to have AppleCarplay
My cable is different for the aux. That particular cable for the r/w audio cables isn't there for my Honda. I have a lx model of the accord 2012 and I can't find a cable for that anywhere
Will multimedia steering wheel buttons work or nah on new android radio?
What is the best Android auto system for a 2009 honda accord euro luxury navi?
Does this setup work with 2021 EX-L with Navigation system?
Thank you,one of the best videos.
So it’s possible to change the navigation system like the buttons for my 8th generation right
Is a blinking car clock going to cause an issue? also can a Sub Woofer be added?
if I have amplifier and subwoofer would this still work?
John - I purchased the 12.3 Android Head Unit - having problems connecting the backup camera - i am unable to locate the trigger wire, Have you done a video on the 12.3?
Nice install all that is missing is some TESA tape on the wires to make it look a bit OEM. :)
Hey Man Great Video! Quick Question For All So BEFORE I BUY IT the $500 version I just want to make sure does the radio work well and does it last long or should I not buy it.
Anytime in the NYC bronx Westchester area that can help me? I had an installer do this and it isn't working. I need a pro
Does it come with a back up camera and what size is the screen?
Can the new screen be used as a screen for a backup camera too?
Hey John when you disconnect power from the oem radio doesn't have a security code have to be reinstalled thanks good video
Does it show the spotify screen if you play it from your phone?
Hey, John, which state do you live in the USA?
I bought one and would like you to install it for me
I ordered this unit got everything plugged up rite did u have any issues with android auto or carplay??? My phone only charges while plugged in
Did anyone that installed this or any other brand unit get static noise after installing it? And how do you get rid of it?
How can I get the exact dasita head unit with kit that u install on your video please help
How do I get the GPS and the steering wheel controls to work with this kit??
Hi John! I'm installed hhe radio android. Everything works perfect but the sound of the rear speakers no working. I need extra plug.
Is it same with the accord with built in nav ?
Not bad, but shouldn't you unplug the battery to prevent the airbags deployment?
Mine is a 2010 but has a Gps Screen on it from factory how i do i make it work with the new head unit.
Thanks for the tutorial. My 2009 accord has the navigation screen so the setup is a little different. I thought I finished the wiring correctly but I could not control audio or the A/C.
PSA: Dasiata currently does not sell units that fit the 2009 Accord with the navigation screeen. I found the hard way after I untalled the unit and tried putting the panels back on that they did not fit. I had to cut part of the A/C vent panel off for it to fit again.
Can I do this with 2014 Acura TL already has factory gps?
Where can I get this kits?
Same for a 2010 model? With navigation system?
Hey man great video, very well made and explained. Quick question for you... So I have 2012 accord ex-l coupe with Navigation. Is there a model for that?
I was wondering the same
I put one on today. Everything is working extra the car play navigation doesn't sound. Any ideas?
how do you get all speakers to work, not just front?
How do I hook the AUX to the left and right speakers 🤔
What’s the difference between this one and the Idoing one
hey man, i know my comment might get lost, but this tutorial is basically perfect with one little thing. i lack they “key” to “key” cable, so my steering volume controls aren’t working correctly :/ is there a way to mitigate this? i have a model closer referencing your last vid, the one on your car. but, yea, i can’t think of what will fix the steering volume controls :( which blows!!! everything else here was perfect, literally everything, down to the switching of the audio cables to connect in-out for the speakers to respond correctly! but yea, if you perhaps know of a quick solution, or separate cable i could possibly order, that would be beautiful! i know you’re not the all knowing expert on this, but i just thought i’d try and ask🤷🏻 pls lmk!!!!🫡🫡🐺🤺
What would be better this or a double din?
You're the best! Can you beriefly explain how to hookup the backup camera as well please? Thanks again!
yes, you just need to buy a reverse camera off of amazon/ebay ($20-30). There will be a yellow rca jack and a power wire. Plug in the rca yellow jack to the rca input on the back of the head unit and use that power wire on anything that gets power (ie. reverse trigger, accessory).
If the Aux doesn’t work will you still be able to install the radio
Anyone know where to plug in the aux in the LX model?
Could you do a video on the 2014 accord exl with nav and show us the wiring like you did here
Would also like this. Thanks
Does this unit have video play in motion or no? Also I’d like to know if there is a way to add a backup camera to this unit as well?
My u it is really loose and idk how to fix it in to make sure it sticks. Can someone help ?

@ Honda Accord Sedan Ex-L 4dr 2008 what Radio order were do I get from Please send me Information 😮
You mentioned the ILL wire. Can you tell me where it's supposed to be plugged in?
Do you know where I could find the kit for the old head unit? I want to get a pioneer head unit because I feel like it would be a better quality.
Dose the gb on these radios make a difference I want to get one but don't know about the gb. Some say 2gb +32gb and others say more. Anybody knows about that
Wow. Bet that would be expensive to pay someone to do. Looks like a lot of work
Can I please get the link from where you bought it
Does this fit a 2009 Honda Accord lx
Do you think I would be able to move the stock screen to the glove box instead? To keep the cubby hole?
Curious about this too.
Same here, I want to know if I need it at all, is there a way to use the new display alone and keep the cubby hole. What about the aux plug in located in the center cubby under the arm rest?
@Dinowarrior21 that is literally all I want to know. If you found out lmk pls.
would this work on a 2008 honda inspire?
Will it work for a 2014 Honda Crosstour
Can you show an install for the 12.3 Android unit for 2009 Accord Coupe
Any reason why my center console buttons wouldnt be illuminated after the install? They all work but arent lit up on the radio controls
Check fuse 6 in the passenger side. I got a kit from Amazon and every time I turned the headlights on my dash lights would stop working. Must be something wrong in the included wiring harness.
Does it come with a back up camera
I’m very curious is 500$ ish an average price for one of these ?
My honda is manual transmission so my Conections is diferen i connected but is no audio pls can u helpme figure
Do they sell this kit for dodge ram
Hi john after I say your video I bought the stereo and installed already thank you for this kind of video. But the problem after everything install my remote and gear shift lights and head lights signs not working. You you have any idea ?
Me and my friend have had the same problem on his car his Ac isn’t working either! Did you ever find out what it was?
The volume on my steering wheel isnt working has anyone had this issue and if so what did you do to fix it?
They made a universal one and I really wanted to see one done on a 2013-2017 Honda Accord
Good stuff! Please take us through installation in 2006 Mazda 6
i will try to find one locally
