@Landon Longbrake the accords with the 2 screens are outdated bud. Nobody likes those, they're low resolution and cheap. I rather have the new accord screens than the old 2 style one

Just installed it and it looks amazing! I did have to trim a bit of plastic near the air vent because the rear left corner of it kept hitting it but it only took 15sec to do it so other than that it was a perfect fit no complaints
Omg Thank you !!!!! You were the only I’ve seen that actually explained the three separate harness connectors for the oem stock cd/radio player . Every other video I’ve watched, people were only connecting two of these harness connectors and leaving the middle one out. No one was able to explain what each of the three harness connectors were used for, but you explained it well and concise. Thank you so much. You are the man!!!
A warning to anyone looking to purchase one of these decide to head units, (I have one) They do look very nice but the software can be buggy and unpolished. I have also had issues with the backup camera software freezing or not picking up signals. This is not to say it's a bad head unit, But you're not going to get the amount of polish that you would get from a company like Pioneer, Kenwood, Or Sony. Another note, if you go with one of these Chinese brands you're not likely to get any software updates to fix issues like this.
Thanks so much for the info. I was in fact searching up pioneers but I’m confused when you look at this particular brand in the video, it shows the entire head unit with the grayish trim. Hey so you won't have your key stuck in the ignition one simple step everyone keeps on missing. In front of the auto shift lever there is a small rectangle cap. Remove cap and insert key to release shift lever and move from parking to 1st gear. No need to keep key in ignition. But great video.
Key wont come out cause car is in gear, lol i know this is an old post but im going to be upgrading my sterio for my 08 lx coupe, this video is very well and you guys did excellent at explaining..
I have a 2007 civic lx and I took the plunge and ordered it and I don’t regret it one bit the audio is lit and I didn’t have to bypass anything it’s worth the investment
All those cables that you mentioned in the video will it be included with the head unit or you have to buy them themselves same thing with the Apple CarPlay
Good day John, I recently bought a daisata 9inch, px6 from Amazon, the description states it works with my 2015 civic but the wire harness included was for the 2016 civic and it doesn't fit my double din Das it's too big. Help!
I installed this unit into my 2009 Honda Civic EX-L yesterday. All in all it works beautifully. One thing to note: when I decided to leave the passenger seat airbag indicator light disconnected, the airbag system warning light showed up on my dash. Upon reconnecting and placing it in the unit (not bolted in), the warning light disappeared. There are two areas where you can modify steering wheel button functions: one in the Settings app on the main screen, and the second, for Apple CarPlay, in the ZLink app. I’m wondering if one overrides the other in terms of functionality. I’ve found that ZLink has a difficult time “learning” the buttons. Overall, love this unit so far in the few days I’ve owned it.
Ben Goldwasser do you have the “premium Audio system” I have exact car as you it’s a coupe and I want to get this but worried my speakers won’t work cause the amp, did you need to do anything to get your speakers working or did it work out if the box?
Unreal Riot it worked out of the box. My car was used so I can’t be sure if I have premium audio or not. My EX-L is a 5 speed automatic without navigation. I’m not sure if that helps or not.
If you use the tool to open the small slot just above the gear shifter and a bit to the right you can push it down with the tool (plastic) and shift gears without needing the car on making it so you have your keys and the car doesn’t beep at you.
What I was wondering as well! So: I plugged back the airbag sensor but the thing is, as he shows like only for 2 SECONDS at all lol (abt 20:10 ), that sensor says “Passenger Airbag OFF” (lights when no one is seated in front passenger seat, okay?). So even if you unplug that- the real loud 6 chimes as soon as you take your drivers seatbelt off for a moment, still work. I assume that’s what you are asking about!? I can say, at least in my 2009 (and the 08 I had before this!) what we have is this sensor in the bottom clip/red, “PRESS” button of the seatbelt. You have to take that apart and place something, make it stay in position to then let you ride in silent style. Just wear your seatbelts at all other times! 😄 hope this helps clearly- explain- the differences here?? I am about to ask about my rearview camera not working anyway. Thanks!
Thanks for this video, I own an FN european facelift model, and although that's a hatch and the unit itself looks completely different the Daisaita stuff is "universal" enough that I now know I only need to order a facsia (already done), the headunit (definitely getting max spec) and the DYX014 adapter you were connecting around the 10min mark. EDIT: A thing to keep in mind is that if you own an FN like mine buying a radio like this won't have a connection for the display above the radio. I'm currently looking for a solution, so I can actually see the temprature of the AC and the time. And the sound definitely improves, even without improving the stock speakers. The stock radio isn't that great. More often than not the videos you find are either in Spanish or completely outdated. Yours is both clear, you show what you're doing and how/what you're connecting to it. Plus you showed start up time, something I was sceptical about but now doesn't seem that bad. The only thing I'm worried about now is that some of these headunits are known to bleed your battery slowly dry. So I might need to figure out a way to measure how much current the thing pulls when it's off. And keep a jump starter around just in case. Mind you, you can get wireless transmitters and receivers for rear view camera's too! For my FN I can get a camera and RCA reciever transmitter combo for like 30 bucks. No need to wire it trough the car.
This is the best how to because the other guys didn’t tell you to click the airbag and put it behind the radio so I have to undo it and just plug it up because it’s nothing that you would touch. It’s just a light indicator.

I noticed in the video no mention of the amplifier. Granted my civic is a 2011 si so it will still fit but I want to know too before I purchase it.
How does the wireless CarPlay work ? I have a daisaita unit on my Highlander the max6 but It does not have wireless CarPlay I use the dongle . Is there any way I can have wireless CarPlay also maybe update the software or something?or does it just depend on the actual model ?
Save up little by little, maybe 40$ a week. I know rent isn't cheap but this head unit has better features than any other and the screen is much better.
How has it held up after a year? I am definitely interested in getting one along with an amp and some subs. I have never done anything even close to this and want to make sure that it's worth it.
Once you go android touch screen you will never go back... I have one in my Hyundai sonata totally changed the look a million times better and high end, but like he said not all head units are created equally but I suggest a great visualizer for music from the android store makes it look so much cooler especially at night
Mike Louder yeah, I don’t think these Android units work with the factory amp. You’ll have to get a Pioneer or Kenwood head unit to use the factory amp
i bought the kit and the right side doesnt want to click in, like it barely fits in it. it works awesome! but i had to put a piece or duck tape to make it so it doesnt wobble too bad, just to keep it in place. any suggestions to get that right side in correctly possibly? thanks
@@jholodionisio837 no I bought it before this video was created. I bought it off of Aliexpress. CarPlay functionality requires a separate dongle purchase. I bought that from Amazon.
There's a lot of these stereos that I see 10-in screen for the Honda Civic 8th gen are they all the same basically except for the ram and memory? They all look the same or they just rebrand it with different names?
Would you recommend Dasaita over Seicane? I wanna get the head unit for my friend’s rav4, and the Seicane is much cheaper but it’s also 1gb ram vs 4gb ram from Dasaita
Derrick Korraa That brand is cheap. I got a headunit from them for my 06 Civic and within a week the screen went out and they had me pay $30 for a new screen. If I knew this existed I would have gotten this one. You get what you pay for, the more money you spent the better

What kind of seat covers does he have on this vehicle? Me Likey
I want to know too. But no response 😞
Did the car have factory amplifiers?
KeariaCS I just tried to purchase this radio from Amazon and the company told me to cancel the order if I had factory amp so I did. I just asked the same question to John.
Alpine, Pioneer and Kenwood all have wireless CarPlay radios. the new Kenwood even have wireless screen mirroring.....
Can it work with backup camera? Thanks
Can you still control the audio from the steering wheel?
Do they make one like this unit but with a backup camera
you can add a backup camera for about 15 dollars
I really want a similar head unit for my 2012 Chevy cruze but they’re so expensive 😭
Save up little by little, maybe 40$ a week. I know rent isn't cheap but this head unit has better features than any other and the screen is much better.
You might as well save up to get a whole other car. Chevy Cruze are the worst type of Chevy models
Great video! Question: Is this compatible with the hybrid civics as well?
Do you have any recommendation some thing like this for 2011 Honda Accord. I would really appreciate it man!
is there any way you can make a video on a civic with the premium audio system and the navigation head unit?
It depends on the model year, which one do you have?
@@JohnNguyenVincent I have a 2007 Honda Civic ex coupe
@@Hecthakilla ditto this
28:57 making sure it’s in neutral. LOL
🤣🤣🤣
Wow made the overall appearance look so nice 👍
What about a head unit/dash kit for 2012-2015 Civics? Is that available via Dasaita?
did you ever get any information on the 2012 honda civics ?
This thing still working in 2022?
Can we get update on this unit? Is everything still working fine? My little civic is about to kick up lol
Can you do a video on the the camera that came with it? Does it hook up on the license plate or watt?
How has it held up after a year? I am definitely interested in getting one along with an amp and some subs. I have never done anything even close to this and want to make sure that it's worth it.
I’m curious as well
Up
Hey how did yo hookup the Apple CarPlay???
I can’t get it to connect at all! Please help
Do the steering wheel controls work for the volume
Beto Urieta no
Yes they do, you go to settings and reprogram buttons
brian consylman So you’re saying you can reprogram cruise control buttons to volume controls?
@@timmarkevich idiot
Once you go android touch screen you will never go back... I have one in my Hyundai sonata totally changed the look a million times better and high end, but like he said not all head units are created equally but I suggest a great visualizer for music from the android store makes it look so much cooler especially at night
Is there a video install for the camry? I have that vehicle and would like this unit...2009 specifically
So the music comes out of that tablet or your car speakers like normal
Sebastian Armas on your car’s speakers like normal. But the headunit makes the sound quality a little bit better
Did your car come with the factory premium audio, amp and sub? Because I have yet to see a unit that works properly with those factory parts
Mike Louder yeah, I don’t think these Android units work with the factory amp. You’ll have to get a Pioneer or Kenwood head unit to use the factory amp
Mike Louder it will work with to you tap into the factory remote turn on wire
Do you know how to install a backup camera for that radio?
Hey that looks dope bro ! Would that unit fit in a Honda Civic EX Coupe 2008 ?
It does, i put it on mine
Does the passenger airbag still work?
@@mojolocomtx hey bud. Did you need to bypass the factory amp?
@@mojolocomtx I’m
Also curious. Did you have To bypass the amp?
@@TheMassiveC have you tried adding this yet?
i bought the kit and the right side doesnt want to click in, like it barely fits in it. it works awesome! but i had to put a piece or duck tape to make it so it doesnt wobble too bad, just to keep it in place. any suggestions to get that right side in correctly possibly? thanks
I did this install last week on my 8th gen civic as well. Great job on the video John!
Calvin F does all the wires come with it ?
@@RZ867. yes everything you need for the headunit install
Did you use the link to buy the product? And did it come with Apple car play?
@@jholodionisio837 no I bought it before this video was created. I bought it off of Aliexpress. CarPlay functionality requires a separate dongle purchase. I bought that from Amazon.
Hey can you watch videos on this head unit ?
Hi! This is sick. Does it work with the European hatch back 8th gen civic? I would like to get it.
how to get the honda logo to come at the start ?
Go into the factory setting screen. Passcode 126
Do you have a video on how to connect apple carplay?
I saw that the screen was an android setup at first then at the end it was an apple setup. How do you do that?
its just the apple carplay app. the screen itself is android, but you can get different apps
I wonder if it’ll be plug and play for the 08 Si models cuz we have premium audio
All civics say that
In my 08 FA5 Si works 😀
@@moisesmunoz9482 so no need to by pass factory amp?
Could you also attach a rear view camera module to this? Great video thx
You get what you pay for, the more money you spent the better
do an update how is the unit doing,
Hey man. I tried installing it and my car exploded. What do I do next to achieve optimal experience?
Have you tried putting Pokémon cards over the exhaust to make it sound like a bicycle?
Do I need an amp bypass harness for a 2007 civic si with premium sound system or will it wire right in and have sound thru my factory amp? Thank you in advance
Yup, if you have an aftermarket amp you either need to bypass it or just have it powered with the remote-on wire
@@JohnNguyenVincent I'm not running any aftermarkets. Just want to use my factory speakers and factory sub with new headunit. What do I need to do.
