thanks homie finally someone who got straight to the point on the driver side everyone else usually makes it for the passenger side because its easier lol
Thanks for the video!!!! I just had those same bulbs delivered today from amazon. I never would've thought of putting them in through the wheel well so you saved me lots of disassembly work. 😊. Now I have to figure out how to adjust them the right way to prevent blinding other drivers
Glad you found the video helpful! I had some people take off the entire front bumper to install the headlight bulbs. The fender liner trick is a lot easier!
I already upgraded my low-beam bulbs to LED a while back, but wanted to upgrade my high-beams too. When someone's coming towards me with their brights on, flashing my weak halogen high-beams at them just isn't getting the message across. As your video shows, I'm glad to see I don't have to go through the wheel well.
Great video man!! I def will upgrade mine with these!! Also I see your father’s headlights are faded. I recently bought headlight restoration kit from Amazon called Cerakote and they’ll make those headlight look 100% newer for less than $20 🙏
Thank you I appreciate it! I got an off the shelf headlight lens restoration kit from an auto parts store and tried it but didn't work. It might need some more serious work like wet sanding and buffing it down to get it back to looking new again
Is it the same for a coupe version same year? I took mine to walmart and they didn't want to do it because according to them they needed to remove the whole bumper Thank you take care
Yes it is the same process to replace it on the coupe. The 8th gen civics are also the same process and it is a pain. Fender liner is the easiest way to replace bulbs
@@TheJMedia do you know if this procedure works with the projection headlight set up? I have a 2008 accord coupe that the light and plug look different than any vids I can find
I'm not 100% sure but more or less it should be the same procedure. Most Hondas that I've worked on can either have the headlight bulbs switched out from the engine bay, or if it is a right squeeze for your hand to fit, then it's easier to get the bulb replacement done from the wheel well by the fender liner.
@@TheJMedia Thanks. Managed to get the job done. It was a tight squeeze even through wheel well. I had a hard time with the liner and will have to replace all the clips that I removed (broke off). It worked best for me to turn wheels inward. But job is done and for sure much brighter!
When I say any car, I meant the steps to install the light bulbs are pretty much the same for any cars. Each car takes a different bulb size so make sure to check prior to buying
It is supposed to fit snug. You have to make sure to turn the light bulb to the right and have the groove of the headlight bulb fit into the groove of the bracket on the headlight
Not sure why they made it kind of difficult to install such a small easy part when it should have been a quick and easy process 🤦 I remember I took my whole front end apart just to install my lightbulbs

The coolant reservoir on the passenger side comes off if you pull up. Gave me an easier way to install the bulb. Great how to video!
Thank you for watching! Glad you found the video helpful
Thank you. I needed this to change the bulb for my dad
Yes, you should! Definitely a simple upgrade that makes the car drive so much better and brighter at night

LED bulb upgrades are a must in my opinion! Definitely makes driving at night a lot easier with better visibility
@@TheJMedia so true
Been having to use high beams as headlights cuz of how bad the oem ones are, super helpful video !
Super new to working on cars this video was insanely helpful thank you !!

Thank you so much!
You're welcome! All the best with getting it done!
Is it the same process for 2009 Accord? :) Thx!
Yes, same process to replace bulbs!
Love it ! And where did you get those mats?
Thank you! They were leather diamond stitch floor mats that I ordered off eBay
Do you have to turn the wheel that way? Seems like it is more in the way pointing it out.
Turning it either way works to get your arm more clearance to change the bulbs through the fender liner.

@wurlitzer60 That's great, glad you managed to get it done!
When you say any car do you mean Honda Accord 2008 or. 2014 Nissan Altima as well??

Hi boss, may I know for this specific model. Does it use same size h7 for low and high bulb?
It is 9006 for low beams and 9005 for high beams
thanks for confirmation. quite too late after my purchase but that's what i figured too. 9005/9006 or hb4/hb3@@TheJMedia
Would this work on my 2009 Honda accord or would I have to buy a different one
Yes this should work on your 09 accord as well
@@TheJMedia thank you. Because I find it hard to see at night especially since I live in nyc and everyone has bright white lights I need an upgrade 😂
@AviatorGamer it will be a night and day difference after you upgrade it!
Hi, what the bulb code of parking light above d high beam? I guess is T10 or ?
Low beams are 9006 and high beams are 9005
@@TheJMedia thks. And the tiny bulb above the high beam is?
If it is the turn signal bulb, then it is 1157. If it is the side marker bulb, then it is 194
What’s the name is the drl fuse I want to replace it with led ?
Not sure if the drl fuse, but after replacing the low beam to LEDs, they stay on for drl
Its loose. Is there a way to make it snug? I bought the same light bulb
It is supposed to fit snug. You have to make sure to turn the light bulb to the right and have the groove of the headlight bulb fit into the groove of the bracket on the headlight
@@TheJMedia I just found out how to make it snugged. The plate that holding the bulb has a flat flap where I can bent it inward to make it snugged.
@FEROCIOUSxGx Yes! Glad you figured it out
you need to cleat coat your headlights will make you see even better
Yes, need to find time to wet sand and reclear the headlights
Ka pai Bro. 😅
how many lumen this is
Not sure how many lumens but it is 35w
Not sure why they made it kind of difficult to install such a small easy part when it should have been a quick and easy process 🤦 I remember I took my whole front end apart just to install my lightbulbs
I agree! Not sure why this gen of Honda Accord/civics are so much harder and you have to do it from the fender line as compared to from the engine bay
How do you disconnect the bulb from connector?
You'll have to turn the bulb to the left to loosen and disconnect the plug. "lefty loosey, righty tighty"
I have this exact car 🙏🏾🙏🏾
That's awesome, great reliable cars!
😊
Very helpful . Installed on my wife daily Accord super Ez 🫰🏻
Thank you! Glad you found the video helpful

Glad that you were able to swap them out for LEf bulbs! Lasts longer and so much brighter
