Seeing Myles this month and Tremonti in November both in Pittsburgh. So excited!
Nice reaction, thanks. I still get goosebumps when this song starts - 'coz I know what's coming. I was there that night and, believe me, it was even more stunning live. I've seen Alter bridge a few times but was one of the best. A band at the height of their powers backed by a full 52 piece orchestra (it was TheParallax Orchestra) in an acoustically superb venue (The Royal Albert Hall, London) was utterly amazing.
This was a special performance at the Royal Albert Hall with the Paralax symphony orchestra. They don't usually have the orchestra with them, but don't let that stop you from checking out more of their songs. It's worth the watch.
I saw Alter Bridge live in 2019 in a small venue. They were fantastic. Love this band as well as both Myles and Mark's solo projects

Myles is amazing and so humble, it gives me chills every time I hear him go to that top note. His voice climbs like a homesick Angel.

My advise would be to do Blackbird live at Amsterdam next. You'll get plenty of other AB advise here but
Myles was in a band called The Mayfield Four during the Creed years, in fact opening for them once.
He hits some insane highs on those 2 awsome albums. Summer Girl is one of the examples, but White Flag and Walk Away are great songs as well.
Please do more of them, I'd stay away from live from Wembley ones, myles was sick. I recommend watch over you live Amsterdam, Blackbird studio version
This entire concert, playing with the Parallax Orchestra side to side, is something really special.
Was at this gig 😁. It wasn't the last song of the night. It was, however, the last song on the album it got released on, and not released as a single. That note at the end is the reason why he'd never sang it live.

Alter Bridge is definitely the full potential realized of Creed. Check out Waters Rising, Blackbird, Cry of Achilles, Fortress to see just how good this band is. Creed only became hated because of how much radio play they got. Some of there non-radio songs were their best and they had a 4th album that released after AB was formed that sound a log more like Alter Bridge and has some awesome songs on it as well. Check out Overcome from that 4th Creed album.
My favorite spot is after Myles hits that note the camera goes to Mark and he looks over at Myles and smiles with a look of approval for what he just did.
If you don't smile on that high note you are dead inside.
Myles has never been in Guns N’ Roses. What you’re thinking of is his band with Slash called Slash And The Conspirators. They mainly only do their own material, but during their shows, they play both their originals and old GN’R material.

I saw Slash's band a while back, and Myles Kennedy was the lead singer. He has no issue with GnR songs. Myles is one of the best (if not the best) rock vocalist out there IMHO.
Check the songs: Summer Girl, White flag, Come Back To Me, when he sang with the Mayfield Four and if you like Alter Bridge start with there first album and go from there.

Fun to watch your first reactions to this masterpiece. It really never goes away. This track still blows my mind. AB III is a most incredible album. (as you probably know by this time) If you havent done so, all the Tremonti albums are outstanding. I know Im late to comment but hear me now...

This is one of the very few songs out there that I wish I could just be mind wiped so I can hear it for the first time over and over. And btw Myles Kennedy was the singer of Mayfield four before alter bridge.
To say that I'm an Alter Bridge Fan, is so miniscule to ...say the least!! Alter Bridge is the Peace in My Soul!! Mark's and Myle's lyricism almost completely parallels my life story, no shit!! I absolutely LOVE every second of what they BLESS us with!! To pick their GREATEST HITS, is a task that I'm not really capable of doing, but....I'll leave a few for you here, that have, of course, not only musical perfection, in my opinion, but the lyrics....LISTEN TO THE LYRICS.....for me....they speak and reach places down deep inside of me, that VERY VERY FEW in this world can touch. I was originally a die hard Creed fan....but when Myles came into the mix, it took the band to NEW, EPIC AND UNTOUCHABLE, levels, that other bands, in my opinion, ONLY WISH THEY COULD REACH. Their transitions, sometimes, several within one song, are flawless, and after hearing the song for the first time, YOU LITERALLY COULD NEVER IMAGINE THE SONG BEING PLAYED OR SANG.....ANY OTHER WAY!! My name is Dain and when you said rest in peace Dain I had a weird moment of reflection, thinking of people actually referring to me while saying that. Super weird but RIP Dain/Dane. This has been my favorite band for years and love to see people react to them.
This song is a conversation between mark and myles about faith between mark who believes and myles who doesn't.
It was not their last song that night but they are ridiculously talented. Myles was in a band called Mayfield 4 and toured with Creed - that's how they found him. Check them out. Also, Myles was in he movie Rockstar. He is the kid Mark Walhberg's Chatacter pulls up on stage. So, Myles sings with Slash in a band Slash with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators. Myles has 2 solo albums of his own. Mark still has his project Tremonti. Go listen to his new ones Marching in Time or If Not For You. For Myles solo I recommend Live Rains Down of his new album or Live can only heal off his first album or Starlight for Slash Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators happy listening.
Myles kennedy in my opinion is the best rock vocalist out there. He has a four octave vocal range and is soooooo under rated and appreciated in America at least

Vocals and instrumentals are wonderful, but what no one seems to comment on is the actual song and it's lyrics.

Big Nightwish fan here since 2002, and I've been watching all your Nightwish reactions you've done. Love it! I see you've also done a couple of songs from Epica, another good band. If you like the growls from Epica, you should check out Draconian. Anders is the master of growl. And in stark contrast, Heike has a breathy and ethereal sound to her voice. It's not really like what you've been listening to so far though. Draconian is a gothic/doom metal band, so the music is slower but very heavy sounding. And if you like that, you should consider checking out Broken Mirror by Trees Of Eternity. No growl vocals, but Aleah Stanbridge's voice is similar to Heike's. Sad that Aleah is gone, but the music she helped make lives on. :(

I was a Creed fan. But Myles is what Scott wishes he could grow up to be. Not only as a vocalist, but as a songwriter, and as a musician in general. The whole band is better with Myles. The music less pop, and more substance.
