Myles (lead singer, rhythm guitarist) and Mark (lead guitar, backing vocals) complement each other well, both vocally and instrumentally. I wonder if Mark being a co-lead singer in this song inspired his solo work, which I highly suggest giving a listen to. Mark giving Myles the nod of approval after the high note always gets me, it's like a "hell yeah, brother!"

Just so you know 3 members of Alter Bridge were previously in Creed. Drummer Scott Philllips, bass player Brian Marshall and lead guitarist Mark Tremonti. Lead Singer and guitarist Myles Kennedy who also sings for Slash’s band. They’ve been around since 2004.
You have to check out Blackbird live from Amsterdam. Their biggest hit. The guitar solo is considered one of the best by many music magazines 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Alter Bridge was formed from Creed. They got rid of Scott Stapp and replaced him with Myles Kennedy. All the rest are the members of Creed
Yes, do Amsterdam! The Wembley version is good because Myles tells the story of his friend who inspired the song. The problem is Myles was sick that night. His Amsterdam vocals are superior.

I was fortunate enough to attend this show, was absolutely the best gig I have ever attended period, especially when you consider they only rehearsed the night before the show with the Orchestra,for the 1st time which is insane!and I have been to many.

I’ve seen this band more than 10 times and I wish I got to hear this live. I finally got to hear “in loving memory” this past tour. Such a great band all around!!

Fun fact, Alter Bridge is CREED
The only difference is the vocalist Myles Kennedy (amazing singer) but the rest of the band is the same. I truly hope you go down this rabbit hole, as incredible as this song is Alter Bridge is a fantastic rock band is many hits and many nice heavy songs too.

Alter Bridge has worked hard to establish the fact that while 3 members came from Creed, they are Alter Bridge, a separate band different from Creed. They rock much harder than Creed. Mark and Myles' songwriting, starting with the Blackbird album, is much different from Creed.
@timtam79 come on dude. Mark Tremonti is one of my favorite guitarists and song writers ever, but he's got a distinct sound, and that sound is present with both Creed and Alterbridge. So while Creed was more mainstream, there are still a LOT of similarities between the 2 bands, because they're made up of the same musicians, minus Scott Stapp for Alterbridge.
Appreciate the fact you love both bands. I agree about Mark's style, and I love Mark, but the addition of Myles on vocals, guitar, and songwriting, especially as a lyricist, makes this band different from Creed. There are distinct differences. Here's a quote from Mark from Ultimate Guitar.
"On 'One Day Remains', the 'This is Creed part two' crap drove us all nuts. We already had a vocalist that sounds completely different to Scott [Stapp, Creed singer], but with 'Blackbird' and Myles also on guitar, we really got to turn the ship in the direction it's heading in."

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is Myles F’N Kennedy! Larger octave (4) vocal range than Freddie Mercury, and huge breath control and beautiful timbre! Also plays a mean lead guitar!
AlterBridge plays much more complex and often heavier tunes with screaming riffs and guitar solos than Creed ever did. (Although this song doesn’t portray their typical output)

Myles Kennedy plays rhythm guitar, not lead. The man who plays lead guitar is Mark Tremonti
@@mrtiesthatbindthx tips. Yes Myles mostly plays rhythm. He also plays many numerous lead solos and lead harmony lead guitar lines and riffs along with Mark. Yes Mark is usually lead, but doesn’t take away from the fact that Myles can also play a mean lead guitar to go along with his talent as a killer vocalist!

Myles Kennedy is also the lead singer for Slash's solo band Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. You need to check them out. I recommend Starlight live from the Roxy 2014. His vocals are insane.
You should check out Mark Tremonti sings Sinatra. It's amazing!
The reason you thought of Creed is because everyone but the lead singer is from Creed. They got rid of the singer for Creed and reformed with Myles Kennedy as the lead singer and renamed themselves Alter Bridge, and the rest is history. 7 studio albums and almost 20 years in the business is Alter Bridge. Check out some more Alter Bridge, they don't make any bad songs literally.
The entire band with the exception of Myles (lead singer) in this song are the original Creed members.. so your statement is valid..
Fun fact Alterbridge is all the former members of Creed besides lead singer Myles. Mark Tremonti is an amazing vocalist too. Check out his band Tremonti

@@beccareichard6669 Oh my god lol siblings are the best for that. I actually don’t mind a few creed songs but I can hear the resemblance so it makes sense you wouldn’t like AB. The one band I cannot stand, like that I actually hate is Motionless In White and my siblings love to send me links to their concert tickets just to get me hype thinking there is a cool tour going on only to find out it’s freakin’ MIW. OMG one of my coworkers doesn’t listen to heavier music at all and one time she came over to my desk at work and was abruptly like “DO YOU LIKE MOTIONLESS IN WHITE?” and my other friend gave me a look because he knows that I can’t stand them but it was so funny to me because she asked if I liked them since they were going to have a show near us and there were like 15 other bands playing at that festival that I absolutely love and she just happened to mention the one band I hate lol it’s like we can’t escape our blacklisted bands. I hope you're doing okay by the way!
@@beccareichard6669I hear that, however, Alter Bridge went on to sound nothing like Creed. Most of their songs are heavy anyway. Just listen to 30 seconds of a song like 'Addicted to Pain' or 'Cry of Achilles'. I'm not asking you to listen to a bunch of their stuff. Just 30 seconds or so just because I want to prove a point lol they are NOT creed.
NOTE: ABs first album DOES resemble Creed sound bc it was written as Creed was breaking up and they didn't know their new lead singer could play guitar really well. Everything changed after that first album.
