I'll second this suggestion. Blackbird is such a good song (and so emotional, especially if you know the backstory to it) that calling it a masterpiece may actually be understating it.
Blackbird is my favourite ever song. I always think of my nan while listening to it. The Wembley performance is good, but the Amsterdam performance is their best in my opinion.
@@Chris_Elliot84 Everybody is always suggesting Wembley, and it's great, don't get me wrong. I think the live in Amsterdam version is even better, though, so I'd go with that one.
@Chris_Elliot84 you must've never seen Amsterdam! There is a full Amsterdam version with the Beatles tribute. Also Myles was sick during Wembley hence his voice being nasally. He still nails the preformance however.
Alter Bridge is so underrated! Blackbird is a masterpiece but you really cant go wrong with any of their songs. You are awesome and keep up the great work!
You should look up Mark Tremonti's (the guitarist) singing Frank Sinatra songs. The guy can sound EXACTLY like Frank, and he performs with Franks old band too!
Alter Bridge came about after Creed dissolved in 2003... Brian Marshall (bass) quit Creed in 2000 and did not play on their 3rd album 'Weathered' in 2001... Scott Stapp (Creed vocalist) was struggling w/ alcoholism and personal problems and Mark Tremonti had already written a new album w/ no singer in '03, so they decided to start from scratch w/ Alter Bridge in '04... Brian Marshall (bass) came back and Myles Kennedy (vocals) joined and delivered the debut album 'One day remains'. On their first tour, they noticed that Myles Kennedy also played guitar, so they asked him if he wanted to play guitar on the albums as well... so, he did on the 2nd album 'Blackbird'... Strangely, Alter Bridge fans are not big on Creed, and Alter Bridge became bigger outside of N. America than Creed... Creed was huge in the US, but Alter Bridge was not as popular... Alter Bridge also refused to play Creed songs live. Alter Bridge has released 7 studio albums to date (Creed has 4) ... and Myles Kennedy has also recorded and toured for Slash (Guns N' Roses lead guitarist)... Myles Kennedy also released 2 solo albums as well. Mark Tremonti (guitar) had always done backup vocals for Creed and Alter Bridge... In 2012, he launched a solo band Tremonti in which he was the lead singer... Tremonti has 5 studio albums to date, starting w/ the debut 'All I was' in 2012. More Alter Bridge songs - 'Open your eyes' ... 'Rise today' ... 'Ghost of days gone by' ... 'Isolation' ... 'Watch over you'... 🔥🔥🤘🤘
Yes! Great concert here, and great sounding! Lots of songs and a few deeper cuts to take advantage of the orchestra. Same with the Wembley one (where Myles was a bit under the weather but, still sounded great!), and the Amsterdam live concert! You get a sampling of different songs mixed in during each one.
I LOVE that your fan-girling over Alter Bridge right now. These guys are very good at what they do and Mark Tremonti is a riff machine. One of the greatest
the coolest moment is the look on Mark's face after Myles hits that note at the end - Mark looks at Myles w the look of "That's my boy" pride which is so damn cool. YOU NEED to check out Mark's solo band as well ..... Tremonti is more rocking in sound but his voice is fkn amazing !!! Check out "Marching in Time", "Catching Fire", "Thrown Further, "Throw Them to the Lions" and "Bringer of War" just to name a few !!!! The beauty of the Creed hub that started all of this is the amazing music we have from all the different members of bands that have been created since then, Alter Bridge, New Creed (coming soon), Tremonti (Solo Mark), Scott Stapp solo stuff, Myles w/ Slash & Myles' Solo stuff as well !!!! You my dear should just change your name to Alice because you have entered THE rabbit hole hahahaha !!!
Just an amazing song. One of the few times they have performed it live. Love Alter Bridge. Great reaction. There is no excuse for Alter Bridge to not be more popular that they are. Their music is so good.
They always have great melodies & harmonies, I would definitely recommend their song "Calm the Fire" if you want to hear Myles absolutely killing it. 🤘👍
I don’t really listen to Alter Bridge much but from what I’ve heard, this band is amazing and I am here for it and definitely ready to check out more of their music. Absolutely amazing reaction as always ❤
Enjoy your journey! I never heard of them 6 or seven yrs ago. Now are my favorite band! I’m in my mid 50’s and thought great melodic rock and metal music died by the mid 90’s. I was wrong. Start from album 1 and just go through them one by one. Their first five albums are ‘all killer and no filler!’
Definitely check out more Alter Bridge, they are both one of my favorite bands and one of the most talented bands out there currently. This is actually a bit of an outlier for Alter Bridge in that Mark generally doesn't sing lead vocals and most Alter Bridge songs have at least one guitar solo. If you're looking for more Alter Bridge and/or to hear Myles sing more, there's really only one Alter Bridge song to suggest as it's one of the best and most emotional songs ever made, and that's "Blackbird" (either the live from Amsterdam or live from the Royal Albert Hall versions). If you want to hear Mark sing more I'll suggest "Water Rising (Live at the Royal Albert Hall)" by Alter Bridge, "Marching in Time" by his solo band Tremonti, or any of the Frank Sinatra covers he did for charity. Loved your reaction to this one though.
*Blackbird* is perhaps their masterpiece. Absolutely stunning song. I'd recommend the Live in Amsterdam version of it, though people tend to suggest Wembley, which is also a great version. If you want their more rocking, a little heavier side, I'd suggest *Addicted to Pain* or *Metalingus* . Both are great songs to just rock out.
Alter Bridge, Mark Tremonti and Myles Kennedy - I’m impressed, great band great sounds and vocals. You should have a look at Marks other side, amazingly good Frank Sinatra covers 🤯 Nice reaction as always, enjoyed it very much!
Myles has 2 solo albums worth checking out and he is also the lead vocalist for Slash and the Conspirators. More about this song: the lyrics of this song is a dialogue between Myles and Mark about faith/religion. It is based on real life conversations theyve had as Mark is a Christian and Myles has struggles with religion. This goes back to Myles' childhood and his father becoming ill but refusing to get the treatment he need due to his religious beliefs. Myles lost his father and felt as though he chose religion over staying alive to be the father he needed. Myle's first solo album, Year of the Tiger, deals with these topics heavily.
This band is solid as a rock. for me his best song is "slip to the void".......plus Mark Tremonti is a beast, you should check out his own band......progressive rock at its best...
Hi Ray! Yesssss finally getting to Alter Bridge! Trust me it's a rabbit hole you definitely want to dive into!! Myles Kennedy is my absolute favorite male singer. In this performance you just witnessed part of what he's capable of... that high note he hits towards the end was one of the reasons he was hesitant to perform the song live, but he absolutely killed it and you can even see Mark nodding after listening to that... "Open Your Eyes" and "Broken Wings" immediately remind me of Creed; "Down To My Last" is one of my favorites, "In Loving Memory", "Shed My Skin", "Watch Over You" (Myles solo version too!)... the list goes on!
I'm pretty sure this was another of my requests from about 6mo ago... this is great, watching all these reactions now I requested back in the beginning.
As a mid 50’s aged rock and metal fan of 70’s 80’s and 90’s heavy yet melodic guitar based music - AlterBridge is my favorite over all of them! They are hugely talented and create great music between their two main songwriters- Myles Kennedy and Mark Tremonti - whose contrasting lead guitar styles and vocal harmonies complement each other better than any band I ever heard! They have dozens of songs I could recommend- they just don’t write any bad songs -So I’m happy with whatever you decide upon! If you’re new to the band as I was about 6 or 7 yrs ago, I can only suggest listening to their debut album in its entirety, and then on from there with their next (better) album Blackbird, where they really came into their own and left any Creed-isms completely behind! In fact, IMO their first 5 albums are great front to back; with their 2nd through 4th albums being absolute masterpieces! Enjoy!
Alter Bridge only got to perform each song ONCE with the orchestra before they performed live. That's madness considering how difficult and intricate the orchestral pieces were but says so much about their professionalism and talent.
I’ve seen Myles live a few times.. probably one of the best …Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the conspirators.. another Myles project with great music.. Anastasia live is a great start
AB has been my favorite band for the last 20 years. In fact, my GF and I went to see them in April of 2023. Although, we just saw mark, Scott and Brian reunited with Scott stapp on the Creed summer of 1999 Cruze this april. It's nice to see them all back together again as Creed this year for the reunion but, I can't wait until they reunite with Myles Kennedy next year to record their eighth AB album
Mark Tremonti is a musical genius and its clear to see from Creed, Alter Bridge & his solo band Tremonti, that he is an incredible song writer. Scott Stapp was very problematic and difficult throughout the Creed days, as well as extremely controversial, and as a result of that, Alter Bridge was actually formed before the breakup of Creed. Creed has gotten back together a couple of times since then, including this year, but due to Scott Stapp's inability to understand that Alter Bridge will continue regardless of whatever else is happening, the band members aren't super close friends, they get back together for the fans solely. This song is a great song but its not a full representation of what they can do as a band, when there are some much heavier and crazier songs they've done that especially break them away from being like Creed at all. Myles Kennedy is an incredible vocalist, he is the vocalist of Slash's backing band, he also played in a few other projects over the years and quite honestly, for what Alter Bridge is musically, they're so unique. They're heavy but melodic and beautiful at the same time and all the members are extremely talented. The Parallax Orchestra are great, they have played alongside many bands over the years, even Bring Me The Horizon, which was incredible. They do it for free and raise money for charity which to have that many people come together to create such a beautiful performance for the fans and to raise money for charity, its incredible and I admire them all so much. I would personally recommend the Alter Bridge songs "Ties That Bind", "Come to Life", "Brand New Start", "Addicted to Pain", "Bleed It Out", "The Uninvited" & of course "Blackbird" which was written lyrically first from the perspective of a friend watching another friend dying & then changes halfway through it to be written after the death of that person, based on an obvious true story which I can't remember but can be found online.
One of my favourite things to do is watching people react to this performance 😂 I was there on the first night, it is my favourite song ever and when Myles said they were about to play it I started crying and sobbed during the whole song, I have never experienced anything like this! They are incredible, absolutely love Alter Bridge 🖤
AWESOME reaction!!!! You were feeling every damn second of that. The only word for this piece is MAJESTIC. It’s big, grand, sweeping. Doubly so with those voices backed by the live orchestra! Side note… This being at Royal Albert Hall, well, they have an incredible pipe organ named “The Voice of Jupiter” (150+ years old). A *wonderful* young lady named Anna Lapwood is its current organist/custodian. One wonders how world-shattering this piece would sound if she’d had a part transcribed for her too??? (FYI - she’s played with Bonobo the EDM group there and it was incredible!!!!)
Any Alter Bridge is great to react to but also keep in mind that Mark has a band of his own called Tremonti that he fronts. You should react to some Tremonti and more Alter Bridge. Plus Mark has 2 albums out where he sings Sinatra songs and sing them he does. The 2nd one which is about to come out, is a Christmas album. You must give him a listen as he's a true standard singer and a damn good one. Please do some reactions to all three of these projects, you won't be disappointed.
What is equally as beautiful as is the music and vocals is the origin of the song itself. Mark and Myles talking of the belief in Faith or the lack of, and the realization of It's Power when you do.
Myles is one of the greatest singers of our time and Mark is one of my favorite guitarists of all time. Both are incredibly talented singers AND guitarists, but then combined they are unbelievable.
Well now you have to react to Blackbird by Alter Bridge. But do the Amsterdam performance not the Wembley one as Myles was very sick during that performance
You should definitely watch Blackbird by Alter Bridge also at the Royal Albert hall. It's a very meaningful song Myles wrote for his best friend that passed away. It's beautifully enchanting and dark at the same time
If you want to hear more of Mark Tremonti as a vocalist check out his other band Tremonti as he is the lead vocalist for that material. Also, as a side note he recently completed a project where he covers classic Sinatra songs and flat kills it. It was a project he did for charity to raise money for downs syndrome, which his daughter has. Sinatra's original band backs him. There is a really cool documentary video about the making of that album.
You need to listen to Mark Tremonti's Sinatra album. No I'm not kidding, he did a full album of Sinatra covers with members of Sinatra's old band, and killed it.
Not sure if it's my OCD, But is this a completely different room you stream in? 😂 cos I'm sure in your last video, you were seated facing the other wall behind you? Love the reaction videos by the way. ❤
There isn't anything Alter Bridge that's done that's not bingeworthy. Mark Tremonti's solo band is equally amazing. Now, if you want to get real off the in weeds, go listen to the stuff off the Frank Sinatra album he did with most of the surviving members of Sinatra's band. That will blow your mind.
Myles's voice seems to me to be a bit more forward its placement, it's pretty bright overall. And his crazy skill level is evident in how good he sounds live.
Please check out Mark Tremonti's solo stuff and most recent projects.... Mark Tremonti Sings Sinatra. He's on another level. I think you'll really enjoy it.
Blackbird from Alter Bridge is worth a listen to.
It's a masterpiece
Yes to this, check out their Wembley Arena performance. Possibly my favourite guitar solo ever

Blackbird from start to finish is a journey
Live version from Amsterdam is my favorite version
Underrated by whom? Stop this stupid cliche sentence. Please, please, PLEASE!!!
Slip to the Void is an underrated song from them and I like some heavy stuff but they just got it going on.
Myles Kennedy and Mark Tremonti are two of the most talented guys in music. They are absolutely phenomenal. Alter Bridge never disappoints.

Simon killed it with the orchestral arrangement
Altet Bridge is just an incredible band, so talented
I loooove seeing people discover this criminally underrated band! Please check out more of their music.
This was sensational at the RAH. That high note toward the end that Kennedy hits is unbelievable.

Gonna throw in "In One Piece" from Tremonti's latest solo album. He hits some notes on that that I didn't think he had in his repertoire!!!
Gotta check out “Fortress” from this same performance. That song is a masterpiece.
Just an amazing song. One of the few times they have performed it live. Love Alter Bridge. Great reaction. There is no excuse for Alter Bridge to not be more popular that they are. Their music is so good.
So true! Great great band that has no attitude problems between them. They respect each other, their fans, and their music!
That kind of rock has passed. Unfortunately. Longhair rock and Grunge are the best music in the 80s and 90s.
Starlight by Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators from the Roxy is amazing.

Blackbird (Live from Webley)
The End Is Here (Live at The Royal Albert Hall)
Addicted to Pain
I enjoyed how much you enjoyed that. They're my favorite band
This concert took a year to prepare and rehearse. The end result was magic.

Myles plays a song acoustically called "Watch Over You" that will definitely make your day.
Fantastic band and have a lot of great songs for you to get your teeth into but blackbird is a must really emotional song
I love this song. They’re great guys too.
One of my favourite things to do is watching people react to this performance 😂 I was there on the first night, it is my favourite song ever and when Myles said they were about to play it I started crying and sobbed during the whole song, I have never experienced anything like this! I was so gutted that I missed this performance, but luckily I did see them the following night in Edinburgh but saddly it was without the orchestra.
Love your reaction! I was lucky enough to see them live last year, theyre just incredible. Looking forward to watching through more of your channel!
AWESOME reaction!!!! You were feeling every damn second of that. The only word for this piece is MAJESTIC. It’s big, grand, sweeping. Doubly so with those voices backed by the live orchestra!
Side note…
This being at Royal Albert Hall, well, they have an incredible pipe organ named “The Voice of Jupiter” (150+ years old). A *wonderful* young lady named Anna Lapwood is its current organist/custodian. One wonders how world-shattering this piece would sound if she’d had a part transcribed for her too??? (FYI - she’s played with Bonobo the EDM group there and it was incredible!!!!)
Im so glad that your burst in to the biggest smile at the same time as me. He is one of the greatest singer ever!!!
Love how mark looks at myles after that high note like, "thats my boy"
Lookup a video of them doing Waters Rising. Mark sings lead on that one. These guys are incredible. I saw them live twice in 2023.

finally some alter bridge on this channel
This song is the first AB song with Mark taking some lead vocals. Its a brilliant song and Marks solo stuff really showcases the power in his voice
Love alter Bridge!
❤❤❤
The entire concert at RAH is fucking amazing. If you do blackbird like others are mentioned, do the Amsterdam performance. It’s the best imo
este tipo es lo mejor que hay hoy en día, lejos
Myles is one of the greatest singers of our time and Mark is one of my favorite guitarists of all time. Both are incredibly talented singers AND guitarists, but then combined they are unbelievable.
Please react to disturbed's sounds of silence live featuring Myles Kennedy 😊
Well now you have to react to Blackbird by Alter Bridge. But do the Amsterdam performance not the Wembley one as Myles was very sick during that performance
Blackbird live at Amsterdam!! By Alterbridge!!
Myles Kennedy belts his butt off in most of Alter Bridge's music. The song All Ends Well is just vocal acrobatics.
One of the few songs that I prefer the live version over the studio one
You should definitely watch Blackbird by Alter Bridge also at the Royal Albert hall. It's a very meaningful song Myles wrote for his best friend that passed away. It's beautifully enchanting and dark at the same time
Welcome to the greatest band in the world.
Best concert I've been to. Hands down
saw alter bridge in feb, what an awesome band. btw, they are NOT creed with a new singer or creed 2. thank goodness they dont sing any creed songs
We have a saying in the alter bridge fan base. Myles hit that note like It owed him money!! It was better than the recording!
Im biased in saying this, but Myles is surley the best singer in the world
Id also say he is arguably one of if not the most technical guitarists out there
Myles did this with the flu what a damn pro. Myles is reminds me of a tenor version of Chris Cornell who was a freak of nature i his own
Alter Bridge ❤🖤
A masterclass in pitch correction. Enjoy.
This is Alter Bridge!
Myles is amazing! Mark Tramonti (sp?) is just as amazing. His Sinatra stuff is mind blowing!
Watch Miles Kennedy with Disturbed live singing Sound of Silence. Absolutely amazing.
Yesss Please with a Capital P!!
I agree about Ramin Karimloo as the phantom. 😊
Check out watch over you by them incredible
I was there 😊
You need to listen to Mark Tremonti's Sinatra album. No I'm not kidding, he did a full album of Sinatra covers with members of Sinatra's old band, and killed it.
Excellent video, you have to listen to she's gone by Steelheart!!
Not sure if it's my OCD, But is this a completely different room you stream in? 😂 cos I'm sure in your last video, you were seated facing the other wall behind you?
Love the reaction videos by the way. ❤
3:15: "I'm sure he can do belty..."
Streamer doesn't know. 😂
the Album One Day Remains is the most similar to creed. My Fav Albums are the first 3. One day remains 2004, Blackbird 2007 and AB3 2010
Wonder if you know that Mark Tremonti (Guitarist) released a full album in which he sings all Sinatra songs.
Myless best romantic rock
Mark Tremonti has a record singing Sinatra , you should listen to it.
Check it out Mayfield Four - Summer Girl and check how high Myles can go.
Watch Over You and Blackbird are must hears from Alter Bridge. Please check them out!!!
Tremonti only has that one range. He’s a phenomenal back up vocalist.
