I’m so glad you said Amsterdam‘s version! For the life of me I’ll never understand why people recommend Wembley for people’s first experience hearing Blackbird. I mean he was sick so it wasn’t his fault. He still sounded great especially when you consider that but to do the song justice you need to hear either the studio version or the Amsterdam version!!!

Myles is a phenomenal singer and he has done soon to be 4 albums with Slash. He was also rumored to sing for Led Zeppelin but that fell apart before it could get started.
On another note, Mark Tremonti is a master shredder on the guitar and has 5 solo albums out that are all amazing.
Yeah I saw Myles with Slash playing at a festival a few years ago. He's a great singer...
Don't forget Myles has solo stuff and work with Slas and the Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators stuff. Also Tremonti did a Sinatra album for charity..Downs. He has a Downs daughter. These guys are amazing humans.

That should read Alter Bridge is the band Creed with a new and better singer..... I never liked creed because of the way Stapp sang 🤮 but Alter Bridge is my favourite band ever....

You just heard badass Myles Kennedy!! Dude has a four octave range. He also is the lead vocalist with Slash, Myles Kennedy, and the conspirators. Slash from Guns n' Roses. The reason they made a big deal about them doing the song is that amazing high note at the end. I have seen Alter Bridge three times and I've never heard this song live because of that high note. They don't normally perform with an orchestra either. This performance was special at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Please go through their catalog and see what else you would like. "Lover" off of fortress is amazing, "In loving memory" is beautiful, But if you like the high notes, I highly recommend "Burn it down" from One Day Remains. Alter Bridge and Miles are my absolute favorites. I hope you dive in to that rabbit hole and I hope you love them as much as I do.
Always nice to see Myles Kennedy shown some love. Great vocalist, guitarist, songwriter.... but most impressively to me, a thoroughly decent human being. :)
Myles is my favourite rock singer of all time, his voice is insane. Im glad you reacted the same way to when i first heard him sing hahaha. I then went down a Myles Kennedy rabbit hole and i've never come out! When he tours with Slash and does the vocals for the old Guns N Roses songs its brilliant. Alter Bridge has a lot of great songs, you should listen to In Loving Memory, Metalingus, My Champion and Broken Wings. Blackbird is brilliant but im sure someone has told you about this haha.
Oh and if Myles looks a little familiar it's because he is the guy from the movie Rock Star with Mark Walhberg who gets pulled out of the crowd at the end of the movie to sing.

@@josephdean3722 just a side note that makes it more impressive to me: he's a 52 year old with tinnitus and his voice seems as strong as it was 20 years ago unlike a lot of others. If you haven't, check out Mayfield 4, so much more Myles material!

Absolutely love Myles. My favorite has to be with Slash singing Starlight. Trying to sing along to that even as a female is hard let alone guys. His voice is insane
I absolutely go an octave lower and I feel no shame because myles is incredible.
His parts on "Breathe Again" off AB III get pretty high too. The bridge part gets to F5, so only a semitone below the high note on this song.
That's Myles Kennedy in the lead vocals & he's got the holy spirit of music moving through him....it's very special indeed. Do Blackbird now & hang on to ur pantaloons....🤣

The most impressive thing about this song is this was the very first time they ever played the song live and then to couple it with the orchestra, just amazing. Most under-appreciated band on the planet. Everything they touch is gold.

Myles is referring to "AB III" which is their 3rd studio album. If you want to hear more from Alter Bridge you should check out "Blackbird", which is another great masterpiece from their 2nd studio album.
Myles is one of my favorite vocalists. Dude can sing. In Loving Memory from Kerrang and his solo acoustic version of Watch Over You are incredible, and also Blackbird live From Wembley. Definitely worth checking out.

Being a massive Alter Bridge fan, I couldn’t wait for your reaction at the end. You had no idea what was coming, and it blew you away as expected. Check out Black Bird next as everyone else has already mentioned. Best band of all time, their whole catalogue is amazing ever since 2004. Will be releasing their 7th album later this year. 🤘🏼

This song came about from the chats between Myles and Mark about religion. Mark is a believer and Myles isn't but they have discussions about their thoughts on the matter. After he hits that note I love the way Mark smiles and looks at him :)
It's really interesting. From my very limited understanding, Myles was questioning his beliefs when his dad died but Mark was basically saying not to lose faith. That juxtaposition is so interesting.
When Myles' real father passed away, It was due to his parents believing in a faith that did not believe in medical intervention. So his father died because of lack of medical care due to faith. This song is a discussion about faith between Mark and Myles. Mark is Christian. Myles is a freethinker who questions a higher power because of his childhood. His stepfather adopted him and gave him the surname of Kennedy.

They are all a great band. Awesome musically but Miles Kennedys voice is awesome. He does and acoustic version of of their song “watch over you” that is simply amazing. Miles also went on stage with Disturbed to do a duet with David on their version of Sound of silence 👏😊

Please do Blackbird!! And if you want his clearest sound, live in Amsterdam. Wembley is good but he wasn't his best as he was recovery from sickness. The one with this orchestra is amazing but it's not online lol Blackbird is a great rock song, but if yiu like heavy stuff, white knuckles, or last hero just to start. 4:25 the other singer is Mark Tremonti. He has his own solo band, named “Tremonti”, in which he’s the frontman and lead vocalist. His vocals have gotten much better over the years and he’s even releasing an album in May of Sinatra covers. The dude is super talented and one of the best guitarists out there. Definitely check him out.

Yes sir. Myles Kennedy is ridiculous. A tid bit of information that you may not know is that the lead guitarist is/was the lead guitarist from Creed. AlterBridge really opened up his playing ability and let him shine as well!!!!
Myles Kennedy is the best singer out there. He also playes the guitar very well. He has a project with Slash of Guns and Roses. Alterbridge is my favorite band. Awesome musicians , deep lyrics and their own style.

That my friend is a F#5! Myles Kennedy is one of the top Rock singers on the planet now hands down. Alter Bridge is a great band not only together but on their "other" projects as well. Check out Mark Tremonti's (he is the lead guitar and other singer) new album he recorded of Frank Sinatra's songs .hat cat can sing too!!
He is a tenor of four octaves and four semitones of sung range(Bb1 - D6). His total range is of 4 octaves and 8 semitones (Bb1 - F#6). Despite being a tenor in both timbre and tessitura he possesses a strong lower register, Being able to fully sing E2s and go as low as Bb1.
AB Three (ABIII) was their third album (not 83).

AB is not your average band. Great musicians and songwriting is excellent. Myles and Mark are two of the most talented guys in music.
Myles Kennedy is the ultimate rock vocalist. He can sing anything. Check out Mayfield Four ( one of Myles' previous bands)... and his solo albums are great also.. Not only is he a phenomenal singer, he is also a brilliant guitarist. Although he only plays guitar on the odd occasion with Slash (who acknowledges Myles is a "better" guitarist than him actually). Anyway AB are a stellar band and thanks for the reaction.
