I’ve never clicked so fast!! ❤️❤️❤️ My favorite band!! Blackbird MUST be next. This song was never performed live because of that high note at the end… Myles was afraid he couldn’t hit it live. But he NAILED it! Myles Kennedy is the best rock singer today, IMO. And he can play a mean guitar, along with the other guitar player, Mark Tremonti (guitar god and master shredder). Myles is amazing! I met him quite a few times when he was singing with The Mayfield Four, here in Spokane. He and his band used to play a ton of venues here local and my friends had a band that used to open for them a lot. Myles is the real deal, I’m so glad he has finally broken through and the world can see what we saw a LONG time ago
@@iamtheking9418 I’ve met him several times as well, although with Alter Bridge… met Mark many times as well, and the whole band on a M&G once. Super nice, most down to earth people you will ever meet. They truly love their fans. ❤️🤘🏼

This song hits harder IMO especially live where it is usually not as good as the album.
I was there that night and, let me tell you, the applause and cheering went on long after this video ended. I love the little smile Mark gives to Myles after he hit THAT note. Definitely a special gig that one - it will live long in the memory. Just for info - yes, there was a full 50 piece orchestra (The Parallax Orchestra) on stage with them and the reason they never usually perform this song live, despite the fans loving it so much, is it is monumentally difficult to sing that high note at the end.

Ah Yes, the AB rabbit hole. Mr Myles Kennedy on vocals, perhaps the best male vocalist in rock today. He also sings in Slash's band! Next Alter bridge songs (there are SO many good ones), Blackbird, In loving memory, Fortress. You cant really go wrong with AB!!!!
Best rock band of the 21st century! Great musicians writing powerful and meaningful songs! I recommend “Blackbird,” “Cry of Achilles,” and “Fortress,” but there are so many others!
Please, please, please go down the rabbit hole with this band. They do not have a bad song. Watch over You, My Champion, Addicted to Pain, Blackbird, Broken Wings, Life must go on are all amazing songs.

This is a criminally underated band who are all amazing at their instruments and the vocal range of Myles is amazing. They are also known for their guitar solos as you will see if you watch Blackbird live. Glad you all enjoyed this.

Alter Bridge is the same members as Creed but with the singer Myles Kennedy instead of Scott Stapp.

Love Myles voice- with a 4 octave range, he can sing nearly anything. ♥️ I've met the band several times, they are so sweet and down to earth- really love their fans.....

Since BJ is so into lyrical meanings, I know he would enjoy interpreting Blackbird by Alter Bridge. Asia would enjoy the awesome guitars, especially the amazing "dual" guitar solo between Myles & Mark. I've seen AB 7 times in concert, and I cry every single time I hear it (live or recorded). Welcome to Myles kennedy and Alterbridge!!! I love these reactions to this song and just alterbridge in general. They are a phenomenal band!! They were Creed before and broke up in 2003 and Hired Myles Kennedy and they haven't looked back since. Myles is also the lead singer for Slash as well!
This was sensational at the RAH. That high note toward the end that Kennedy hits is unbelievable.

Blackbird is one of the greatest songs you will ever hear. Lyrically and musically. Although the live version is great, you have to do the the lyric video to read the lyrics. If you have ever lost anyone it definitely gets you in your feelings. Other reactors have called it an absolute masterpiece. Got to do the lyric video…..

You see why they never perform this song live often cause hitting that note 200 times on tour would kill him. Myles is the greatest vocalist in rock.

YES! I don't comment much here, but Alter Bridge is simply amazing! Such an underrated band! And definitely one of if not the best vocalists (Myles Kennedy) around today! He plays a mean guitar as well! And Mark Tremonti is a phenomenal guitarist (who can also sing pretty damn good himself)! And let's not leave out Brian Marshall on bass & Scott Phillips on the drums! Alter Bridge is really just pretty freakin incredible all around!

@@michellepetrillo2235 I can't say I recognize these bands (Slash sounds familiar), Myles voice sounds really familiar, but I'm having difficulty placing it. I'm thinking it might be a situation like when Journey replaced Steve Perry with that guy who sounded so much like him I was surprised. Hopefully it will come to me in time. Thanks for the info!

Cool, Alter Bridge is one of my top 5 favourite bands. I'm glad I came across this video of yours. I like the songs when Tremonti gets to do some lead vocals, too. And both of them harmonizing is so good. I'm sure by know you've figured this out already, but they used to be Creed before Miles Kennedy joined the group. These guys got so much good music. Blackbird is also worth checking out. Also, Show Me a Leader is great.
AB is a great band to get into as is anything Myles sings on! When I saw the Royal Albert Hall though, it made me think of an Elton John performance there of the song Burn Down The Mission. It's a great performance and it brings a little heat with it!

Alter Bridge is my favorite band and this song is from my favorite album.
Blackbird is widely recognized as their best song and I think Isolation or Waters Rising would be a good song to hear the heavier side of Alter Bridge.
You both have probably heard of the band Creed in the early 2000s. This is 3/4 of Creed plus a new singer that also playes the guitar. Much better band.
Myles Kennedy (the lead singer) and Chris Cornell are my favorite vocalists of all time. You should check out some Soundgarden/Auduoslave, or better yet Say Hello 2 Heaven by Temple of the Dog that Chris Cornell wrote about his friend that died of a drug overdose. He hits a high note late in that song even higher than Myles hit in this song

You should goggle this songs origin. It's about a member who has died. And had an opportunity to be apart of the primary making of the song. It's bad ass you would probably find similarities between something in your life to match.
No, Words Darker than their Wings is a “conversation” between Mark and Myles about religion- Mark believes, Myles has his doubts- so this is their conversation between them about whether each believes (or not). Myles father died when he was 5 years old, because they were very religious but their religion didn’t believe in medicine. Hence his doubts, since his father died so young. You are thinking of Blackbird, which was written for a FRIEND of Myles who died too young (not a band member).
