You can disable door chime completly. Go into central electrics(46) adaption. Channel 98. Read. Change value from 1 to 0.
Someone else mentioned that. I couldn't do it on obd11 months ago. Maybe something has changed with an update... Or I just missed it completely lol

The small compartment under the front of the seat was possibly designed as storage of a small umbrella. That's where I keep one and it's extremely convenient to access. Great video.

Very informative video, know the features accurately now.
Not sure if you saw it, but if you enable lap timer in OBD, it also shows colored indicator when to change speeds in your HUD display. It only shows there when the car in Dynamic mode and you drive fast and bring RPM to 4k and up. I saw it once and it's pretty cool, a feature from RS 6.

Target sells mini umbrellas that fit like a glove in the little under seat compartment so I have one in each front seat! I have used them a total of zero times in two years but it feels nice to know they are there ya know?

Exactly. I believe that’s what they were designed for. Most collapsing umbrellas fit perfectly. I also have one in each of mine. Super handy.

I’m stationed in Germany and when I bought my car I found safety vests from the dealership or previous owner in the compartments. Good place to put them. We are required to put them on before exiting the vehicle in case of a accident or break down on the autobahn.

I'm from Brazil and I wanna buy an A7 S-line but here we don't have this digital HVAC and rear seats HVAC optional. In Brazil we only had two-zone analogic HVAC offered, so I intend to import all equipments needed to convert my A7 to 4-zone HVAC like your car. I noticed the hooks in my trunk about a week after i got the car. I thought to myself "this is German engineering at it's finest"... Also, wish there was a way to keep the mirror moving down when in reverse while also keeping the defrosters on. Great video, learned some new stuff!

Question: for those who have Android Auto after market screen with touch interaction and toggles back and forth into the default MMI Audi platform view in the LCD pop up screen....any tips how to resolve at random trip of display sometimes showing ugly analogue style green or yellow lines?
It happens at random maybe 1 of 20-30x when the system starts. In extreme hot or cold weather. Visibility disappears and then resumes on a subsequent start and everything works again as normal like ever nothing happened. So random but annoying b/c there isn't any clue for the cause or trigger.
I apologize if this was covered before in another video. A newbie to this channel but Content is lit and supports my daily love driving this gem of a ride.
Ripping down lofi videos with natural scenary while vibing with tunes on a night drive or roaming out on open roads is absolutely 💯 epic fun in this car.

@8:23 On European C7's those compartments contain the yellow High Vis jackets in case of emergencies, when parked on the side of the road. In some countries in the EU these things are mandated to have in your car at all times

Tip #8 under seat - my 2016 Prestige w massaging seat function does not have this. Maybe the space is for the extra motors and Audi decided why not provide a compartment on other seats? Great video! Almost EVERYTHING in this video applies to my C7.5 and I didn’t know any of it other than the side mirror settings!

You can press the menu button as well below the arrows to silence the door chime.
This video was dope bro! I think the HVAC trick only works with c7’s with 4-zone climate control

the tip for the right side mirror tilt on reverse was clutch! I was disappointed because I only thought my previous bmw 540 tilted on reverse

So i can still look stock but have that supercharged whine...as you can see from my pics i have a 2014 Audi A6 3.0T prestige fully loaded....i just did the Muffler Delete and i kept my resonator...but im getting drone do you have any suggestions on getting rid of the droning.....my co worker told me about the full catback borla
If you check out our recent videos you can see my current intake setup. I did the rs7 for a bit but then moved to a modified oem airbox.
The exhaust on these cars is the hardest thing to get right. Drone/rasp is always an issue unless you really do some work. It gets even worse after you get test pipes installed. Most people buy the AWE touring exhaust, but I like my valvetronic exhaust from Cende because when the valves are closed it is extremely quiet, but when they are open it is very very loud. Best of both worlds

So I think I mentioned this to you on AZ. There are a few things different on my C7.5 and I think it's due to my HUD. If I enable needle sweep, I have no LEDs on the speedometer. Those are for the cruise control indication, My indication is in the HUD or in the lower part of the dash for cruise control speed. Also the shift light is in the HUD and doesn't appear on the dash. When track mode is enabled, there is a thin red line that occupies the spot where the shift light would appear.
When the shift light is enabled and it appears in the HUD, it looks exactly like the dash, colors and all. When the shift light is enabled it goes to the ECU redline, not the TCU. Stage 1 and Stage 2 APR pushed the redline to 7400rpm . I could only get the shift light to light the greens under AMAX in first gear. Now I run a 7250 Berk tune and I can get full indication with the flashing shift indication. I'm not sure if it is directly linked to the LEDs but it looks like it is. You'd have to find an older A6 where the ECU tune doesn't change the LEDs on the tach but has an TCU tune as well and the shift lights on. I'll see if I can find a vid.
Might be the difference in my SIMOS 16 ECU.
That's interesting. I know the updated mmi with the facelift cars are a little different but this is the first I've heard of these differences.
@@AudiC7Owners Imagine how pissed off I was when I enabled track mode and didn't see the shift light and everybody was just repeating the instructions to me, like I'm an idiot. Now imagine the excitement I felt when I did an AMAX launch and saw the shift light in the HUD briefly. Then add more excitement for when I got the TCU tuned and I could see the whole thing. So this may only be for C7.5 with a HUD. I'm only slightly miffed at no red LED on the speedo for the start up needle sweep, but I have to take the W on the HUD with engine oil temp, speed, drive mode, gear selection and shift light.
Track mode is also not supposed to be available on 2012 C7 models because it was an option on the S6/S7/RS6/RS7 which didn't have the 4.0T with track mode until 2013. You seen anything on that?

What's that little screen inside your left air vent? Seems like it displays some sort of temperature. Is this something you added aftermarket? What does it do? Very curious!
That's a P3 Gauge. It's actually for sale as I installed a different digital Gauge.
Have you ever had any SAI insufficient flow codes ? Wanting a video on how to clean out that air passage. I know the 3.0t has that problem.
Yep. I've had them, but they are intermittent. I want to delete my Sai completely.
Did you know you can make your foot well temperature slightly different than your cabin temp? in the MMI there is an offset. I usually kept mine a couple of degrees warmer year round.

A big tip on how you should use the shopping bag hooks differently - put your entire hand through the bag handles... then grab the tab and slide the handles around BOTH hooks - this stops the bags from slipping off if you go over a bump / around a corner quickly - especially useful for all the traffic "roundabouts" in the UK. Also note that those are called "curry hooks" in the UK - so you can keep your bag of take-away curry in the bag, out of the main cabin. Some vehicles are not quipped with those by default... Audi don't sell them, but VW do - I installed the 2006 Passat ones on an old 2000 Audi A4 B6.

I have a question. I have a 2013 audi a6 c7. Do you know if a 2016 audi a6 c7.5 rocker panels side skirt fits?
My guess would be that they fit, but I'm not 100% sure
had my A7 for 4 years and never knew about the mirror or valet tips. also the glove box vent.
Grocery bag trick and spare tire lid hook doesn’t work on c7 a7. Also for locking the trunk, I also recommend locking the glove box.
TDIs also have the boost gauge if you enable lap timer

Do you know anything about the feature when the driver seat sence your getting out it shuts off? Cause that makes me mad when I’m stepping in for a second 😭 or when I open the drive door that’s when it shuts off and I don’t press anything

I actually haven't wired it. I don't really want that third light.
Plenty of people have done it... Just have to find a wiring diagram for the tail lights, or play around with the wires till you get the desired effect.

I do, but you will need VCDS or OBD11 for it. I'll make a tutorial for it asap

I have a question on timming belt change.i have same car 2017 model with only 114,000 km,
When I researched it on line I'm getting different answers when to change.i have also contacted two main dealer's and both with different answers 😂, online I'm seeing 210,000 km regardless of age,main dealer 210,000 or 6 years.
What's your thoughts?
Most people agree that you don't change your timing chains until you need to. When you have more than two seconds of chain rattle on a cold start, or any chain rattle at all during a warm start, you should get your timing chains done.

- The owners manual is super cool. Mine doesn’t have that.
- Only one I could possibly add is holding the unlock/lock button on remote to close or open windows. That might be more commonly known and not needed in the video though.
- On the inside truck lid, there’s a cut out that fits a warning triangle holder. I bought the part online and installed myself. I believe it comes stock in Europe as it’s a saftey requirement.
- The storage in the rear arm rest is designed to perfectly hold the Audi first aid kit, I also bought this online. If anyone wants the part number let me know.

There is also a small plastic handle inside the lid that you can grab to close the trunk without getting fingerprints on your paint. not really hidden/secret but took me months to notice lol
You might be surprised to know vw/audi has been doing this in their trunk lids/hatchbacks for a very very long time. Glad you found it though!
How do you like the Bose sound system?
For a base sound system it's great. Could be better, but overall no complaints.
How about the foot wave under the rear bumper to open your trunk? I use this one all the time. Make sure you have your key on you!

The only reason I didn't include the foot wave is because not every C7 has that. A lot of them don't actually. Mine doesn't, so I can't even demonstrate it if I wanted to haha.

Don’t you need the power trunk feature to have the foot wave option? Was this an option on C7.5’s and S6’s?
All C7 trunks open all the way on their own when activated. You need the powered trunk to close them which most do not have.

How do you open trunk from outside vehicle without touching trunk? It won’t open with my key fob on my c7.5
For me I just hold the trunk button on my remote.

He's got a TCU tune.
The TCU tune changed the actual Redline. But the Redline lights are changed by the ecu tune.

If you get an Audi first aid kit, it is typically stored in the trunk.

My oil temp sits between 160-175 in calm driving. Is that a problem at all??
What engine? Are you measuring it via the lap timer or something else?
To answer the question about dangers of low oil temperature:
Basically, if you don't get the oil temp up high enough you can't burn off all the deposits & water vapor that accumulates from combustion. The water will mix with sulfur & create acids that can damage bearings. You also won't make as much power as you should be.
@@AudiC7Owners CREC and from lap timer. Well shit none of that sounds good. I'm assuming there isn't a way to fix it other than drive harder. It sat around 200 during the summer though
There shouldn't be that much of a variance. Mine sits at 221 year round under normal driving conditions. Do you have obd11 or vcds to scan the car?

What year is your C7? The reason I ask is because mine does not have Efficiency and Race for the driving modes.
Those have to be activated via obd11. We have a video for that. But my car is a 2013

I owned several Mercedes’ benzes c,e,gl.regular oil change and never had problem (say timing chain ) ,I owned 8j vr6 Audi TT ,that was most reliable car to me. Very easy to maintain,I do all work myself. I am in market for a7 (used) is 3.0t is reliable ,I drive 30000 miles a year.

@@AudiC7Owners oh ok I was making sure our cars are close in year. Now I know I can use what I learn from your channel. Question tho my car is rough at Idol. I have the 2.0 tfsi engine. I’m at 118,899 miles. Basically it shakes when I come to complete stop or in park in the morning when warming up. But once I put in reverse or start to drive it smooths out no shaking at all idk what the heck
@@calijs9420 I talked to an audi tech about that once and they said it was the engine mounts. over time the seals begin to leak the hydraulic fluid that allows for the engine's rattling to be dampened and not translate to the car. No clue how complicated it is to do, I imagine you may need to lift the engine out slightly, but the engine mounts may be your answer.
