- Hey everyone! In this video I'm going to show you how to install a Realsun Virtual Cockpit Digital Interface that will allow you to mirror whatever is on your phone to your instrument cluster display. I believe this will only work on C7's (Not C7.5's), but I show you how you can figure out if your car is compatible in the first few minutes of the video.
It's a bit of a tedious job, but overall not very difficult. I'd say a 3 out of 5 difficulty. As always, leave your questions and suggestions in the comments & please subscribe to the channel if you find this info helpful.

Yep... After having it a year I can tell you I stopped using it. Much happier with an android mmi update compared to this.

That's a completely different system. We might do one of those as well

Which system did you use? Through modfia?
Not sure if the term is different in other regions, but this has nothing to do with the heads up display, its purely part of the instrument cluster.

I just mispoke. I come from the mk5 gti world and we always called the center of the instrument cluster the heads up display, so it's a hard habit to break on this car.
Hey Cameron, great DIY yet again, thank you so much. I believe RSNAV makers have something like this as well. I have been meaning to upgrade my car display with RSNAV S3, as you aware it is very old school at this point :) Are you going to upgrade display too?

I installed a similar system on my A6 2018.Your video's were a big help. Thanks. The only problem i can't solve is that the system always is reconnecting with my car. So he has connection and loses it.I disabled the audio button on the new connection as you told in the video.Can you help me out with that problem?The guys where i purchasd it are not very helpful.

If I may ask a question? During this screen replacement which I am also doing this weekend, did you disconnect the battery?
And If you did, did you get any error codes or nothing happened at reconnect?
If you have installed android screen which supports carplay/android auto is there a way to replicate only the waze on the original dashboard screen. I manage to project there only the original navigation. It seems too complicated to connect my phone to both, android screen and dashboard.

Honestly it isn't that bad. 15 mins to get the instrument cluster out. 20 mins to install the board. 20 mins to run all your wires/connect them. 20 mins to put everything back together. It looks daunting but it really isn't.

No it does not protect onto the windshield. Only the hud in the instrument cluster.
On my A6 C7, My current HW-Version is: H43
Can it be installed? I've been told that it can't but with no reason as to why not. I would just like a better understanding as to why not, if it truly can't be fitted.
If it can't be fitted due to the existing RMC MMI, would it be compatible if I were to upgrade the MMI screen or does this make no difference whatsoever?

Thansls for yours videos, it's possible install head up display into Audi a7? I looking for this, but I not sure that this is possible for example I don't have the space to insert the HUD unit.
It would be absurdly expensive if you don't have it. Better off buying an rsnav screen

You can always just press the volume knob to turn on your music or press your start button (without your for on the brake) to turn on acc power.

Hi I want to hear your opinion, your advice: my A6S7 2015, 3.0 tdi, 218 Cv has a very small RMC screen, and bluetooth and GPS. Does it make sense to replace RMC with MIB2? How do you think ? I don't know if this will be good. help me decide please 🙏.
MIB 2 kit is sold for 700 euros - not new, removed from the car. To install the guys take 1000 euros. All at once go out 1700.
I'd just replace it with an rsnav screen

@@AudiC7Owners ok I must’ve did something wrong, because I’m not getting any sound from anywhere when I play a video… and I got error messages after I did the install…. Everything went smooth with 0 issues, but after the install I I got the breaks and transmission error car won’t go in gear. Maybe it’s the speaker🤔

I'm not sure what you did bc I didn't have any of those issues. The sound comes through just like any other audio through the speakers.
