Following on from our Super Popular video on how to offer Wireless CarPlay on a VW Transporter T6 and with any Alpine Stereo we decided to showcase it on the Audi Platform. In this case it's the Audi A6 with MMI 3G+ that has Audi SmartPhone Interface from Factory!
Using our super awesome new CarPlay Dongle you can turn pretty much any Factory Stereo (That already has CarPlay Installed) to a Fully Wireless System!

Can you still use the steering wheel controls to activate Siri and volume, with this wireless solution ?
Does this negatively effect audio quality or connection speeds ? There are a lot of dongles that offer wireless CarPlay but they are slow and have bad sound quality compared to when it’s wired ?

Hi I have an Audi A6 2015 model it doesn’t have built in wired CarPlay . Please advice which device can help me add CarPlay to the car .
You can't just plug in a device like this to give you CarPlay. You will either need to activate through Main Dealer or an Aftermarket Interface to offer this.
I have a CARLINKIT Air2 5.0, I can't connect it, I already activated CarPlay and accessories and gave the permissions from my iPhone, it connects quickly on my sienna, but I CAN'T connect my AUDI A6 2016, let me know what I should do or my system is blocked Audi by manufacturer. Thanks

Yes as long as you already have Factory Carplay via a wired connection.

Is that your cars wireless phone charging pad you have put your car play transmitter/reciever on? These wireless car play devices dont work very good as they are but now you are definately going to get some interference?
This particular one was installed for quite a while and never experienced any issues.

No, you will need to get the correct connection. Audi use AMI to USB

It looks liek you have usb ports in your car? i have Audi music interface port, and you can buy this port converted to usb to plaug this device into, any idea if this has been done and if it works thanks

No RUclips App available with Carplay due to safety.
There is a way u can get the you tube. Google it u will find. I seen it people hacked the app and beable to use carplay. Otherwise carplay has limite app option.. Even RUclips music u have to have paid account to use on car screen

No because you won't have Carplay on a vehicle of that age.

No - You have to have Apple CarPlay

A vehicle of that age / spec won’t have factory fitted CarPlay.
Remember this wireless dongle only gives you wireless CarPlay as long as you have factory fitted CarPlay originally.

My 2017 Audi Q2 has one usb port and that’s only for charging So not suitable for connecting a data cable or dongle. To build in a data usb port is very expensive and I will also need an expensive module for infotainment communication. So CarPlay is no option in my Audi
What options are there for 2013 A7 please?
This system only works for cars that already have CarPlay Installed. It does not give you CarPlay.

No this is a solution to go from Wired CarPlay to Wireless with factory installed Apple CarPlay.
Smartphone Interface can be activated on this platform from Oct 2016 onwards.
Older vehicles can have an aftermarket system which is approx £800 to be done properly.

You mention in the video that this can also give you wireless Android Auto, but your web site says it’s not compatible with Android. Which is it?
When we filmed the video the dongle could offer CarPlay and Android Auto. Since it's been revised it is now just Apple CarPlay.

No it won’t as it’s unlikely you will have Wired CarPlay in that age of vehicle.

You MUST have Apple CarPlay for this dongle to work. It makes Factory fitted wired CarPlay turn to wireless
