Just fitted this today to my 2013 A6 3G MMI on my drive. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. A bit fiddly getting the quad lock located to clear a way for the unit to be pushed back in. Will give it a good test run over the next few days. So far so good with a quick play after installing.
Useful video, I had no issues installing mine into the car, but I have a few issues seen it’s been installed. 1. When I connect the phone via USB port the CarPlay kicks in no problem and all controls work with no issues, however I get no audio at all, as a workaround I’ve had to use my cars Bluetooth and just use the interface of CarPlay. 2. The wireless CarPlay part worked for a week and just doesn’t work anymore. I’ve tried resetting and forgetting the phone etc but it doesn’t work anymore. Any help would be appreciated.

I have this model, but the MMI system not working to operate the box or carplay, may be the problem it's at the box or my MMI version? I have a P1001 the last firmware of mmi 3g+ with SIM card
Do we know if any of these cables is where the rear camera connects to? I did this swap a while back, but can't remember if before or after the rear camera camera started cutting out. Just want to make sure the connection is tight, if it even goes to the MMI box

Could anyone help me I have fitted one of these boxes and for some reason the mmi screen doesn't come on anymore by its self , also all the buttons don't work on the gear stick area , if I press media the screen comes out then goes back in , I have had the box in and out to double check all plugs is connected properly, which plug would be stopping it from working? Thanks

Guys I’ve done all this but there’s no sound from the CarPlay, apparently I have to select Aux mode for sound but my car hasn’t got that, it’s got the AMI connection, so can someone please help with this?

@@DakarARVThere are many Android phone models so the compatibility is the tricky part. Currently the aftermarket Android Auto are not stable and mature. It will be difficult to say when it will become ready.
Can you make a video of more an end result, using some of the features and switching back and forth from car, media, nav and radio selection thru mmi?
