Hey thanks you David for such an Awesome day . I was definitely a little nervous once the cameras started rolling . Thanks for having my car on your channel it was a blast . Also shout out to sweet pea the dog . We found a little puppy up in the mountains and returned to her owners !!!
That's a really cool car man. I love the way you get the best of both worlds speed and comfort wise. I hope all goes well for you with the car and with life in general.
My sister-in-law (about your age) does professional DISC golf, she is driving all over the place all the time, so I totally get it, a highway beast maximizes your fun as you go from one tournament to another. And you did great on camera. Sure, you were quiet at parts, but then you really showed your stuff talking about cars, and spoke frankly about the strengths and weaknesses of your ride. And just between you and me, I want this kind of car, just an unassuming sedan or hatchback that can, if I want, chew up stop lights and curvy highways. One question, if you make it this far (lol): how reliable is this beast? Can you really rely on it to get you from state to state?
So when I first heard he was 18, I was like, okay, spoiled kid got a car built. After he talked about the car and everything, I couldn't wish him more than the best. He seems super nice and knowledgeable, and the fact he did the stuff himself is awesome.
dude right haha. and let's be real, if you're 18 and a competitive golfer traveling the country in a 400WHP+ 5 year old audi.... well daddy has definitely handed you a lot of gifts. No way homie earned the money he needed to buy the car or the gas or whatever. Or the clubs, the course fees, the training.... etc... he's definitely a rich kid. But he seems humble and kind, did the work himself, still respect. Spoiled from a fiscal perspective for sure, but seems to have stayed fairly grounded. But man, I wish I had that kind of money from daddy when I was a teenager. We can appreciate this young man for his positive qualities, without ignoring the extreme privilege he was clearly born into.
Fair play to the lad, 18 and done all that himself, that's something to be proud of. These are the kind of highlights in the community its good to see. Thanks for all that you do to bring us these David

@Mogul Me people I know with the C7 A6 get better gas mileage than my S4 because of the ZF8 over the DSG. With the C7.5s clutched supercharger it might be even better. You also get dual injection with the c7.5, which saves you from having to get the intake valves cleaned and allows you to run straight E85 if you have that nearby. Either A6 also has a nicer dash, and I believe the A6 competition could also come with the sport diff. The only two things I'd say the B8 has over the A6 is the size and 6mt if thats your thing
What a great kid he seems to be. You can tell he was nervous on camera, but I get it. Solid build he has going, even more impressive that he did it all himself. Well done, lad.
This is why I love VAG, they're just so easy to squeeze some extra ponies out of the engine. Like, just some minor intake and exhaust upgrades will make a Golf R from being a fun hot hatch into a 400+HP supercar hunter. Or, even if you're not so lucky of having a big wallet to afford an A6 or Golf R (Here in the Netherlands cars are still very expensive even used A6's and Golf R's go for like 20-30k) you can still get some very good sleeper engines. Like the 1.9TDI,very easy to go from 90HP to 180 or a 1.8t. Stock 150 HP, just a chip will get you 190 and some intake mods and a nice exhaust gets you over 200 or even 300 is you get a K04
Love this review and it’s crazy timely for me as I’m exploring getting out of my Elantra N and into an A7 with the 3.0T Supercharged. I’ve talked to a buddy who’s a huge Audi guy and he said the same thing this owner said, that the 3.0T is legendary for its reliability and performance. I’m pretty much sold now!
im an owner of an Audi A6 C5 2.7T Facelift and no matter where i look for newer cars this car has brought a smile to my face every time i drive it also its tuned to APR Stage 2+ and twin KO4 Turbos making 512hp which is perfectly for commuting and long travelling and very luxury build interior indeed also reliability is amazing on that engine ive only had some oil leaks but they were fixed in the long run with some good aftermarket gasket seals and new tubes around the turbos and overall its a dream to drive!
What a good smart kid. Love seeing this type of stuff. Just regular people with attainable cars doing what they can do enjoy cars. This is what its all about. Again love this so much and i would love more cars and people like this
Last week i bought a C6 gen 3.0TFSI in even more family oriented estate form. Bought it exactly because of that engine and put cold air intake and got it remapped. End result - 483HP and 585Nm on A95 or what is rated 91 in The States. That thing hauls a$$ all across the rev range. I already have a 2.7 twinturbo V6 C5 A6 and a 4.2L 40 valve V8 S6 and this is the perfect blend between both of these - no turbo lag and waiting for the turbos to spool, instant response with proper torque across wide range of the rev spectrum. This really encapsulates the true Audi spirit - monstrous performances in an unassuming form. The only tellsigns there is a monster lurking underneath this family friendly exterior are the 19 inch Michelin Pilot Sport 5s, sitting on the original RS6 wheels and the big perforated brake disks. I even removed the rear 3.0T badge and left just the A6 and the quattro badges with the supercharged sidebadges. What catches me offguard every time is how stable and uneventful it is uneder speed. Like it's not even remotely phased about 270km/h or 167mph. I really don't understand why Audi didn't put out another supercharged engine like this one. I mean yes it gets put into A TON of models S4, S5, A6, SQ5 and Q7 across multiple generations, but wound't have hurt if they made a V8 supercharged version.
The C7 (pre-facelift) A6 has the same engine as the S4’s and on stock hardware (no pulleys but tuned obviously) they’ve ran 10.9’s in the quarter. Only hardware mods were cooling mods to keep the IAT’s down.
That's a really nice sleeper. I've owned 15 VW/Audi vehicles. My last was an SQ5 with the same engine. You're right, I think Audis are incredible daily drivers. I replaced my SQ5 with an GLC 43 after someone took it out while parked. Considering an RS5 Sportback now.
Not only is this car nucking futs, they're cheap as well. I got mine for $16,500. It has 145,000 miles, the 3.0t is one of the most reliable engines from audi
Up to 185k on my single pulley/ trans tuned A6. I'm still impressed at how quick it is on a regular basis. Steering sucks, seats suck but the rest of the car is incredible. Also, they never had timing issues, aside from tensioner failures which can be done in car. If you do have to do them, the chains are on the back of the engine.. not a good time.
The timing chains are not a issue on the 3.0TFSI like some of the earlier Audi engines . The upper tentioners get weak and if you don't address them the chain rattle on start up will eventually eat up the guides. A good shop can replace the upper tentioners without removing the engine.
What's great about this is it's the ZF 8 speed, not the 7 speed DCT in the S4 and S5. It's a lot more reliable than the dual clutches, and you can even get the C6 (2009-2011) generation A6 with the 3.0t with this engine!
Better ratios?? They switched to electric steering because it's more reliable and more fuel efficient. Power steering type has no effect on possible steering ratios, you can have different ratios with manual steering too.
R8 and S5 didnt have timing chain issues since they had metal guides only the B6/7 S4 did since they had plastic guides. The chains are fine, its the guides. It's also not insanely expensive if you find the right person.
lots of people saying that the 3.0T can only run e40 and that I’m lying about these numbers . You simply need to be educated. For 2016-2018 Audi made some major updates to the 3.0t these updated Motors are designated by The CREC engine code .CREC motors have a completely revised supercharger from Eaton . They also have both direct and port injection. So they can run E85 on the stock fuel system. Updated sleeved engine block . Slightly beefier rods .also has Audis Simos 16 ECU . These are way more capable than your average 3.0t you would get in an S4/S5. These motors are what you find in all of the facelifted A6s and A7s as well as the Q7
Crazy thing is I been looking at these like the last two week and was really skeptical on the upkeep so I’m deciding to get a Q50 instead but mane I love how these drive
Ne of the few “normal” Audis I genuinely like. Can find a really nice lightly used for mid 20s with this engine. Good value as long as it stays reliable
This audi is one of the best sleeper cars ...... Super comfy to drive super filled with technology drives really nice Looks stunning and yet you can literally make the engine double the output with basic mods
Just sold my A6 c7 avant 3.0tfsi(same hp numbers) Very fast , comfortable and capable familycar, but it really removes you from the road imo, it was like sitting in your favorite chair watching someone race on the big screen tv. I bought a miata now, and i am having at least twice the fun for under half the price, and no real risk of going jailspeed fast without realizing it😅
Beautiful car, I'm in a similar position with a B6S4, with the 4.2 V8 you mentioned. I get everything your talking about though, its just a pleasure to drive everywhere.
The 3.0 Supercharged motor is one of the most robust engines Audi has ever mad. Literally put them in lol 6 cars for 8 years. If you see that Supercharged badge, reconsider lining up with it cause it might not be stock lol.
while modern audis have absolutely the worst steering feel of any sporty/luxury car on the road, i love the way the lights look. Always have, wish they made more coupes and slightly more analogue cars. God, I love the sound of his car lol
The C7 platform is very capable and a sleeper across the board. Very rarely does anyone look twice at my modded S6 it is fun though to pull away from snack packs, hellcats, Mustangs, new vettes etc they rarely have any idea what pulled away from them.
I like sleepers but I wouldn't leave it completely stock on outside, I like black out trim and getting rid of wheel gap and adding spacers to be flush with fender, I think still adds enough but can still look like a sleeper
This is why I’m in love with the b8.5 s4. Stage 1 makes 20 hp short of the RS4 V8 with more torque. Tbh the rs4 should be a 500hp na v8 to begin with however
Pretty knowledgeable kiddo, esp with this car. Very good. This kid is going places. Liked the way he kept watching revs as it took off. Oh, and his remark about pulling up to a light and can talk sh** to anything. Very good.

The SQ5 was so nice
i LOVE supercharged V6s... man they sound beautiful. cant wait to have one in my miata someday

Seemes like an awesome kid, he has a great car

The platform is slept on 😢
This audi is one of the best sleeper cars ...... Super comfy to drive super filled with technology drives really nice
Looks stunning and yet you can literally make the engine double the output with basic mods

I'm a big Sedan fan, a sleeper sedan is king, with an authoritative accelerator, for the win.

That's just a crazy combo.
Well done

The 3.0 Supercharged motor is one of the most robust engines Audi has ever mad. Literally put them in lol 6 cars for 8 years. If you see that Supercharged badge, reconsider lining up with it cause it might not be stock lol.

I love my A6 3.0t!!❤️🔥
sick, sick build. Love the sleepers.
i never was a fan of brown/wood interiors but that looks so nice in that car
Can we get a link for the cold air? I'm sure that F150 intake is much cheaper than the Euro-parts CIAs are...
Did you get that part number?
Hope this dude becomes a famous golfer, so he can return to the channel with a supercar or something for David to drive.

I love my c6 a6 3.0t - the 3.0t is a great engine to romp around the street 😝

Nice kid but I couldn't help but notice he looked terrified every time you hit the gas 😂🤙
I have a6 with this like this it's awesome 😮💨

while modern audis have absolutely the worst steering feel of any sporty/luxury car on the road, i love the way the lights look. Always have, wish they made more coupes and slightly more analogue cars. God, I love the sound of his car lol

life’s too short to drive boring cars! keep modding the audi nate its a beast

What F-150 intake fits the 3.0t Audi?
You find out yet?
@@pertts_adventures Nope. A year later and I still don’t know lol.
@@steviefresh88 dang I guess I’ll start googling
I can vouch for the coils being a PITA... ECS makes a tool that makes it much easier to remove them.
The C7 platform is very capable and a sleeper across the board. Very rarely does anyone look twice at my modded S6 it is fun though to pull away from snack packs, hellcats, Mustangs, new vettes etc they rarely have any idea what pulled away from them.

One day I hope to have david review my 600awhp S6.
I’ll review it! We’re you at ?
Let’s race our S6’s

If the interior and exterior “chrome” accents were blacked out, it was a little bit lower, and had some oem+ wheels (rs7) she’d be a perfect daily
Got a buddy making over 5 to the wheels In one! Awesome cars.
Nice good job man 👏 ...I have a 2015 sq5 I have only tuned the ecu and tcu it's making about 415hp and 425trq im dying to upgrade to stage 2 🤤
My type of car. This is definitely my style.

They way he keeps looking at the dash. Lol like bro quit getting on my shit
What a cool dude. He’s well spoken. Did it all himself. The car seems suitable to be Jason stathams car in the first transporter. Nice getaway car.

He is one with the traffic, until his throttle goes to 100. Sick.
I like sleepers but I wouldn't leave it completely stock on outside, I like black out trim and getting rid of wheel gap and adding spacers to be flush with fender, I think still adds enough but can still look like a sleeper

He looks worried you're gonna break the car. Lol
Wouldn't you
i mean its a audi lol
@@kingGfourmost audi’s are pretty reliable
@@dylanoppeneer2354 lol okay
@@kingGfour The 3.0T is one of the most reliable Audi engines. I work at VW and these a6 cars come in with 300k plus kilometers on them.
Would love to see you check out a modified tdi a6. The torque 🔥🔥🛫
I have a 16 a6 on an IE tune 91 tune for the winter. Can't wait till spring to put it on E85 and make 500 :D

I daily a 2011 s5 4.2L. Maintance is a pain but let's be honest nothing beats the sound of a na v8 in the audi/ vw line.
You'd think with NA maintenance wouldn't be a nightmare lol

This is why I’m in love with the b8.5 s4. Stage 1 makes 20 hp short of the RS4 V8 with more torque. Tbh the rs4 should be a 500hp na v8 to begin with however
I love it!! Perfect sleeper!

Can confirm coil packs are annoying on both Audis I’ve owned. Just broke the coil harness clips cause they shouldn’t be that annoying to do.
9:55 timing chains on 4.2 are not bad I do them all the time.
pushing 120k on my 3.0, 100% stock and it still pulls
Pretty knowledgeable kiddo, esp with this car. Very good. This kid is going places. Liked the way he kept watching revs as it took off. Oh, and his remark about pulling up to a light and can talk sh** to anything. Very good.
Very nearly bought the a7 version of this but ended up buying a V70R instead
are you happy with the V70? I'm really thinking about going into Volvos
👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿 he made me want to do something to my BMW
Where’s the cold air intake you mentioned? All I saw was a hot air intake 🤷♂️
I got a heat shield for it now so it’s actually a COI now
gonna submit my build eventuakly
Well done young man.
