I have a 13 S5 B8.5 I saw your other video about the Cats. Hopefully you read my comment. When I spoke to people online regarding the B8.5 motor. No one mention about the cats. To replace it w test pipe n just move the cat down th exhaust. So for the transmission carry that you mention. Do I need to replace that for my B8.5 vehicle 🚗
I got a question. So if I get test pipes is it ok if I get a muffler delete? OR And if I get a cat back exhaust system should I get test pipes as well?? Thanks
Test pipes are installed because of cat failure Exhaust systems/mufflers are installed for your preference of how your car sounds. Do some research on catless exhausts for this car bc the rasp is bad if you don't control it
I am looking for advise or suggestions about aero body kits. Minimal pieces desired as I don’t want to change the look too much but need max downforce to track car - any suggestions?
No it is not. That is why I don’t want to go crazy with the aero kit. I do however have APR tuned exhaust with high flow cats, APR ECW with stage 3 program, RS7 turbos, 034 front control arms, 034 rear sway bar, Girodisc front rotors and performance pads. I have not been able to find an AWD dyno shop near me to find out exactly what I have for HP/torque but it is currently estimated to be north of 760. So if anyone knows of one near Greensboro or Winston Salem, NC please let me know. I don’t really trust mail order software data without the dyno tune for max performance. Lastly, I really am trying to determine if I need to sell and go another direction or if I can achieve my desired track performance with this 4,487 lbs car. Any help is greatly appreciated @@AudiC7Owners
Sorry, I meant to include the following: mine is a 2016 4.0T, unknown air intake with Dual inlets, and I have been having my work done at Everything Euro in Winston Salem, NC and Tom L indicated I wouldn’t need to worry about an intercooler change as the OEM version works fine for my mods and they have worked on a number similar to mine over the years but I don’t know if I actually asked if the comparison cars were actually tracked cars (HPDE). If it matters, I have not lowered the car any due to the movement demands while track heavy loads - but I would prefer to stiffen the car more as long as I don’t need to change what makes this car so street nice. Hence the reason I am considering going another direction with a much lighter and more specifically a car that had track time in the car design (there are numerous consideration if the cost of more changes will not get me to my desired performance). Please note my car is not only fast but it is quick as well. I just want more to satisfy my post competition racing days.
Hey I purchased a heat exchanger but it was a jhmotorsports one, for the 2011 c6 3.0t, do you know if that’s a good product to buy, I wasn’t sure if the merc racing one fit the c6 so I got that one, it’s half the size so it’s making me worry it won’t be as good as the merc one
Is there anyway you could make a Video like this for the D4 S8 platform. Right now I’m trying to figure out the best alternative to strengthening my Catalytic Converters, whether getting new ones hear wrapped since they are so close to the engine and do hear e changers work on turbo charged engine.
Woah I literally didn't hear about EPL until you mentioned it. They ran a deal back in May that I went for, DP Stage 2 tune, ZF8 trans tune and data cable for like $1400 or something. Absolute monster of a car now that I've been really happy with, should I be concerned going forward or should I try to swap it to IE or something asap? Haven't had any issues so far
Unfortunately it may be hard for you to get support with your current tune. I know that 034 Motorsports was offering EPL customers a discount if they switched to their tuning. Honestly, if you think the car is a monster now, you will be floored if you switched to an integrated engineering or 034 Motorsports tune
@@AudiC7Owners yeah I figured, they told me I should be at about 415AWHP (probably tad less cause I'm still on stock pipes) but I did not know about the cats being a ticking timebomb, so looks like that's next on my list. Does the catalytic converter problem happen with a 2011 C6 A6? Can Auto Performance says that the test pipes you use won't fit a C6 model. I'm also noticing how hard it is to find parts for a C6, everything seems to be for a C7.
Hey for the drive shaft carrier would you recommend street over track, I enjoy driving on canyons but I know they have potholes etc would street be best?
What do you think about Redstar test pipes with spacers? I've done alot of research on test pipes and found only a few companies that actually make quality parts and landed with Redstar for the look and price as well as reviews nobody I've seen had any issues. But I'd love to know your opinion on them before they come in.
You are overspending if you buy redstar. I'd u up with Can Auto Performance all day over red star. Cheaper, lifetime warranty but has an amazing reputation for high quality on their test pipes. No reason not to go with them.

Bro I just got my first 20089 Audi a5 3.2 , and I’m not sure if the oil still in good condition, because I notice that my car It throws gray smoke and I'm a little worried. Help please
what year is your A6 man? recently (literally 2 days ago) started having a love for a6’s and there’s really affordable where im from, but I know about the issues these vehicles have. ik you most likely have some videos on these issues which I will watch but I just watched your 10 C7 tips vid and loved the features it had, would love to know the year! appreciate the content fammo
Thanks man! Mine is a 2013
I have a 13 S5 B8.5
I saw your other video about the Cats.
Replace what? Your cats? Yes. Same engine, just different transmissions.
I got a question.
So if I get test pipes is it ok if I get a muffler delete?
OR
And if I get a cat back exhaust system should I get test pipes as well??
Thanks
Test pipes are installed because of cat failure
Exhaust systems/mufflers are installed for your preference of how your car sounds.
Do some research on catless exhausts for this car bc the rasp is bad if you don't control it
I am looking for advise or suggestions about aero body kits. Minimal pieces desired as I don’t want to change the look too much but need max downforce to track car - any suggestions?
Is it a dedicated track car?
In that case, there isn't much aero designed for extreme downforce for the C7. You would need something custom made.
Love your content. Thanks man
Thanks dude!
Which is the top of the line driveshaft carrier for my Audi A6 3.0 supercharger?
Workout question the JXB Performance carriers are the best
@@AudiC7OwnersOk, thank you for your fast reply
Guess I'll sit on the tune for now until I install the test pipes then I'll see about the tune from there
bro straight up thank you
Does the catalytic converter problem happen with a 2011 C6 A6? Can Auto Performance says that the test pipes you use won't fit a C6 model. I'm also noticing how hard it is to find parts for a C6, everything seems to be for a C7.
Yes, the same issues apply to the C6 3.0t cats unfortunately
@@AudiC7Owners that's a shame, I'm thinking of gutting my cats but I would prefer replacing them with test pipes.
Does this apply to the a6 V6 3.2L? I cant seem to find any videos for this car.
No. Completely different engine/chassis
Hey for the drive shaft carrier would you recommend street over track, I enjoy driving on canyons but I know they have potholes etc would street be best?
I have track and don't mind it, but street is probably a great option for 99% of people
Wow! Got thing they didn’t hit that nice rear diffuser.
What about emissions when cats are deleted? I’m from Europe it’s hard to go past control after you delete them 😢
Most people run 02 spacers
Can I use the 4.0T heat exchanger on my 2015 SQ5? Thanks
Yes
So to be clear, I won't pass emissions with test pipes installed, correct?
Not without 02 spacers
you also have to hope that they don't look for them visually but they are hard to see.
Are these tips applicable for second gen 2016+ Q7 having the 3.0T?
What about a short belt and smaller pulley?
How do you get around Motor Vehicle inspections with no cats?
Nice try, epa
Does someone know where do get good perfomance parts on Audi A6 C6 3.0tfsi?
What do you mean by heat exchanger please?
For which system? Air , coolant, oil or something else?
What do you think about Redstar test pipes with spacers? I've done alot of research on test pipes and found only a few companies that actually make quality parts and landed with Redstar for the look and price as well as reviews nobody I've seen had any issues. But I'd love to know your opinion on them before they come in.
You are overspending if you buy redstar. I'd u up with Can Auto Performance all day over red star. Cheaper, lifetime warranty but has an amazing reputation for high quality on their test pipes.
No reason not to go with them.
Is it working this recommendation for Audi q7 2015 3.0?
I live in Upstate NY with strict emission laws, how can I get the Test Pipes and still pass a NYS inspection, I got a 18 Audi A6 Prestige w/ 48k miles
Most people that have to deal with this install 02 spacers
hey question, I have a C6 3.0T quattro , since there's not a lot of mods for this car would i be able to use any of these parts like the 3.0T intercooler? also is the driveshaft carrier only for rear wheel drive?
The heat exchanger should work just fine. Check the jxb website for compatible options for your car.
Test pipes ? Can you still pass inspection for emissions? Or Ef it drive it with the R sticker
You cannot pass it unless you do some sorcery.
@@AudiC7Owners any where i can a o2 spacer , i did see some down pipes on cts turbo that says Cel wont trigger🤔 but its down pipes
I have a question I’d like to ask please, I have an Audi A8 D4 3ltr, will the modifications you have talked about in this video be worth doing to the A8?
All of them.
Is the track or street drive shaft carrier better? What’s the difference?
Sadly found out Can auto doesnt ship to Hawaii, got any other suggestions for test pipes?
Ouch... Have any family on the mainland?
What tune should you run if choosing to go with the 034 207mm pulley setup?
Any dual pulley tune you want. I've ran Jackal, 034, & IE. I'm sticking with Jackal for the customer service, dedication to the community, continued innovation & development, and you cannot beat the price.
@@AudiC7Owners thanks bro for your reply. do I need to change the supercharger pulley also at the top?
No. 207mm is a one & done. Better make sure your cooling setup is ready though
@@AudiC7Owners yes sir already took notes from this video alone going to each step as mentioned. So to be on the safe side I wouldn’t need to really go with the 207mm I’d be safe with the 190mm and the regular sized heat exchanger?
I think 190 is still considered single pulley ratio
So we have a 2013 Audi Q7 V6 3.0 Supercharge. Will these mods apply to the SUV as well?
Yes, if you can find them. I'm not sure if anyone makes test pipes for the Q7
Any idea when the group buy is planned? Looking to do the test pipes on my C7 once I get my lift installed.
I've been working on my A6 3.0T in my mechanical garage for who knows how many days now because of coolant leaking. Such a damn headache.
Where did you that rear diffuser? Looks cool..
It's from Canadian Auto Performance 🤘🏻
Can't pull the cats where I live. What do you suggest as an alternative?
Save some money to replace them
I’ve got a c7 3.0tdi do all these apply for me as well.
No.
I just bought a 2013 audi A6 3.0T, and I'm really new to cars. Can you please help me with what first mods I should do? I want to do a wheel swap and i want to lower it, not stance tho. any help would be great thanks :)
This video is entirely about the first mods I think you should do lol
I just wanted to know if there are any specific things relating to the a6. You also talked abt the c series so i was worried. Thanks for the help though@@AudiC7Owners
I'd suggest watching my new owners guide to C7 ownership video as well. That might answer a lot of your questions.
thank you :)@@AudiC7Owners
Do i really need the driveshaft carrier for my audi a7 2012?
@@KingKhan-ez3gg you don't NEED anything on this list.
But you will be very happy you have it
@@AudiC7Owners I have an intake and tune. The heat exchanger I will def get but those driveshaft carriers are they really necessary for stage 2?
Hi thanks for good info. Can i use the same 4 mods for c6 platform or has it its own stuff for tuning?
It should be about the same
Jack Jones says “never never never” LOL 😂 iykyk
😂😂😂😂
How long does the merc racing hx take typically to ship?
Only took mine a couple weeks tops if i remember right
@@blondishasp572 yeah I just got the notif mine was on the way
And where can I get a upgraded heat exchanger in south africa?
Heat exchanger? Radiator? Could you gut the stock cats or are test pipes vastly superior?
You can gut the cats or install test pipes
Awesome cuz that's what I ended up having to do to my 4.2l A6. I didn't have a lift in the muffler shop down the street wouldn't touch it because you have to basically they said drop the engine and whatnot so I got along drill bit and unbolted them and carefully guarded mine and my car was like so happy with me! Took a few minutes to adapt, but after that, she just flew down the road.
If you got the cats do you have to get O2 spacers? Or when the car just adjust and adapt do the different airflow?
You will trigger a cel without cats. Most people run 02 spacers, but that could interfere with some tunes
Awesome content.... subscribed... I gave my 17 year old my 2014 audi a6 v6 prestige plus Quatro. Loved it. No issues when I handed it over at 58k miles.
I upgradee to a 2018 a6 cuatro prestige ... looking forward to adding some mods.
Very nice!
Do you have a video of how the 3.0 sounds with the test pipes
There are a ton on RUclips. I don't have any uploaded though.
Would long tube headers work too? I just bought them :/
Absolutely. The main issue with headers is that you have to remove the engine to install them
hey i used to own a c6 am looking at c7 3.0t? home meany km or miles are on your current, with one has 146,000km to much?
My car has 217, 000km and is running strong. They are very reliable if you take care of them
I mean c7

No & no
Thease mods for the 3.0t engine, they all work with a q5 platform?

Does the average Americaner generally tune or modify any car they get? Even if its straight off the dealership floor?
I wouldn't say the average driver does.
Do you have recommendations for D3 S8?
I do not unfortunately
@@AudiC7Owners Thanks keep up the good work.
Looking at a 2010 A6 with 3.0t.
Are there many differences from the C6 to the C7 as far as suspension an c tuning modifications?
Would I be further ahead to find a C7?
Input appreciated.
Thanks.
You would be lightyears ahead getting a C7. Better revisions on all 3.0t parts, & the dry advantage would be getting the ZF-8 trans. There are a lot more aftermarket options for the C7 as well.
Its a little more money upfront, but you will be far happier
Can a take some of your advices and apply it to my c7 3.0 tdi 272ps avant- facelift, is it worth alsou
With the tdi I don't think you need to worry about test pipes as much. The rest are applicable in sure, but I'd check with a reputable tdi tuner like Malone Tuning
I really want to get in on the group buy this month. Will you post about it on fb groups?
I will. I'll also update on our Instagram
