      @Gorgeousbarbie yes, some around the belly and arms, also a little on the tops of the legs .
      Nothing to worry about. Exercise is helping it shrink away.

      I will be having my Gastric Sleeve Bypass Surgery on September 30th and am so excited. Scared about the 2 week clear liquid pre Op diet, anyone have any suggestions?

    • @RetiredTrucking
      @RetiredTrucking 26 дней назад +1

      @karenspann-fredricks370 I'm not going to sugarcoat it. Those 2 weeks are rough, but they are also very necessary. The objective of the 2-week liquid diet is to shrink your liver so it makes the operation easier for the doctor. It's important that you don't cheat. What helped me was having a large cup of ice water with me wherever I went. Anytime I felt hungry, I'd pound the water. Another tip: Find a protien shake flavor you love because protein shakes are going to be your new best friend. The 2-week fast is a good opportunity to try all the different brands and flavors.
      Here's the good news... You are going to get through this! The results are going to be well worth your efforts and sacrifice! I'm am currently almost 6 months post-op, and I've lost 84 lbs. YOU GOT THIS! Good luck!!!

    I never went through this and wanted to even the lap band and ain't allowed to cuz one my BMI nor high 😭 I have 97 or 98 lbs left to loose I cry cuz now I am called a fat pig or cow where I am mooed at and oinked at! I don't have dibetic or nothing so I be denied automatically! My primary has me on phentermine and all that where now I know I don't eat like I was I can't ever eat sugar Splenda, sweet and low, equal and white sugar and no flour, white flour, rye, bread, and noodles such as nothing as chickpea and zucchini noodles! I learned fast my weight started out may 230, then June gained 234 July 232 then dropped 226 then went up to 228 July right now and the primary won't do nothing accept phentiamrine cuz of the fact I am not dibetic, no high blood pressure not crap and right now I been using your books for bariatric for me to regulate my protein due to the fact is to get the weight off! Insurance will deny me all the way around! I am not allowed sugar past 5 to 7 percent and I know it was situational based I lost the weight back in 2010 once then did wrong way was eating 1x day and now am making better choices but this was from loss job housing and all no vehicle u name it happened to me back in 2014 and I done to myself still working on it and can't get weight off I get told water pill it wasn't I get told b12 or anything it was not it was the wrong foods and ppl don't see it

    I’m in the uk and I am on the surgery waiting list. We get the operation free on the NHS because all healthcare is free but this doesn’t mean it’s easy because there’s alot of study to do on what they call the “Pathway” . I am quite scared about the operation but I am also excited at the same time it’s a weird feeling indeed! I was an athlete. I trained everyday rigorously and competed a few times a year until I was illegally struck in my back during a bout causing severe trauma to my lower back and spine. I all of a sudden couldn’t train anymore and I put on a stone whilst in hospital eating calorie controlled meals! The doctors were baffled and so they started doing tests only to discover I am hypothyroid that was 20 years ago and my weight has spiralled out of control due to being unable to train. I am not a typical case because I do not have an issue with overeating. It’s true that I don’t always eat the healthy options but in general I eat normal portions and often only twice a day because I normally just don’t feel like eating when I wake up.
    I’m therefore anxious regarding whether the operation is going to help or not because I still can’t train and I am on crutches and housebound because of my back. I’m hoping the initial shock to my system will force my body to lose alot of weight making it easier for me to mobilise leading to a greater physical output of energy resulting in more weight loss! I am sick of being fat and trapped. This prison must end. Best wishes to everyone on the same path❤

      If you work at a desk you can return to work 1 week after surgery, but if you lift heavy weights you must wait 4 weeks after surgery.
