- Skylar Nemetz is charged with the Oct. 16, 2014 shooting death of former McKinleyville High School cheerleader Danielle Nemetz, whom he married and moved with to Lakewood, Washington, when he joined the Army and was stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in 2013.
He thinks he is outsmarting the attorney but in the process, it’s showing the jury how smug and arrogant he is…
It's like pulling teeth....he is just annoying everyone,
This is how American military officers act.
Yup
@@theresecosgrove930 you ai
He must have done something right because the jury gave him manslaughter. He received 13 years murdering his wife! I can only guess why the jurors made this decision, but I obviously think they got it wrong.
This husband claimed he "accidentally " shot his wife yet instead of acting remorseful and hurt for the supposed accident, he's rude and smug and fails epically at trying to go toe to toe with a attorney who is there on his wife's behalf. A man who accidentally shot and killed someone he loved would accept any punishment and not try to fight. I'm surprised he graduated high school seems to me he has early onset dementia.
Did you see his police car ride and how he was acting in the back of the patrol car and then his interogation, you can find it on the Real World Police ch. .. his behavior was all over the place.
@@7aluv4me yeah I watched just about everything I could find about him. He's an arrogant little man. Nothing special about this jerk. He's just another man who likes to control and destroy. It's so frustrating they don't keep these men locked up permanently.
@@7aluv4me just watched that this morning. So disturbing. Sad he isn’t serving a full life sentence.
I don’t think he has dementia, he’s just a bad guy that murdered his wife and tried to act all innocent but failed miserably in showing any real emotions
@@canontheory I agree. Combining the knowledge of the interrogation, where he changed his story every time the detectives challenged it or presented him with facts or evidence and the fact that he claims not to remember anything slightly incriminating during this testimony just proves he is just a pathological liar.
Man this guys story changes literally every single time he talks about it.
Yes. Literally every single time.
This is the behaviour of someone who has a long history of wiggling out of being held accountable. Just my opinion.
@@jaykay1053 he should’ve been trialled by the defence force, they would’ve put him in the Brigg for 30 years
Why are people allowed in courtrooms when they have horrible coughs?
Ya, if your sick stay the F home instead of spreading your germs.😢
That poor jury having to sit there and endure this narcissistic punk. Can you imagine living with him? I was once married to a narcissist arrogant truth bending monster too!
The reason he is reading so slow is to have time to form his lies. This prosecutor is doing a great job of debunking all his lies.

He also likes control so he can tell the prosecutor when he is ready.

I think we can all remember the graphic details of every pizza and alcoholic drink we've consumed, but get a little shaky when it comes to recalling shooting our wives in the head.
Saying "Sir" all the time isn't always a sign of respect.
Exactly. He's totally being passive-aggressive.
WOW ! They were having money trouble so he wanted her to go to work BUT he paid $180.00 for floor mats for his truck and had lots of guns and ammo. Sound sto me like he wanted her to work and pay the bills so he could waste money on things he wanted. What a POS he is !
Also in the interrogation he talked about what he bought her for her birthday, an AR 15 lol.
Indeed! His whole attitude stinks.

@ Bill Allen a gun every year? Wow, isn’t one or 2 enough for one person? How bout a nice trip or a date night or just flowers?
This is WHY! You should NOT make a statement to the police guilty or not guilty ...you have the right to remain silent.... And you SHOULD! 🤔
Wonder if he got drunk when he shot her bc of jealousy. He was diff rt after he shot her. Or maybe ur rt, so smug & narc to think he didnt need an atty! Wonder if he wouldve got his freedom to kill again?
No this is why you stay away from narsassistic people!
No, this isn't true at all. If he would have pled the 5th it would have taken a jury even less time to convict him of manslaughter. Who knows, maybe him not testifying would have given then a strong reason to assume he had something to hide and maybe they would have charged him with murder.
This is a perfect example of why you should never take the stand when suspected of a crime let the attorneys fight it out.. this prosecuting attorney did a excellent job at cross and leaving no room for back peddling… he got him to say he lied like a million times 🤦🏼♂️💯🤣
Uh…Defendant got off completely free fyi. None of the tv drama stuff helps to establish intent to kill beyond a reasonable doubt
@@Reubachi he was found guilty of 1st degree manslaughter and given 13 1/2 years so no he didn’t get off completely free. Should have been murder in the first degree though in my opinion
@@Reubachi this dude was acquitted?
So what was it guilty are not
@@richardleach1706 yeah guilty but he got a real lenient sentence like 11 years
I find it annoying, that he refers to the shooting as if "the gun went of". It takes an action on his part to make that happen.
There are too many firearms in America.
I'm guessing he was in a jealous rage that some other dude was with his wife, and that's why he was asking "who's been in my safe!?"... Once he found out a guy friend bought the alcohol he instantly thought she cheated, I'd bet anything. He's such a smug narcissist.
This is why waiving your rights to counsel during an interrogation is never a good idea. Even if your completely innocent
9:01 "Well, at the time when I was talking to the detectives I was trying to figure out what I was ... I was trying to figure out what just happened." Sounded to me like he was about to say "I was trying to figure out what I was going to say" or "what I was going to tell them", as in what story he was going to make up, then he caught himself.
haha i was gonna comment the same thing andy. the truth finally comes out!!!!!!
This is why citizen defendants rarely testify in their own defense. He has no experience parrying with a trial prosecutor, yet he parries.
What is the opposite of a “citizen defendant”? Lmao I’m so confused 😂😂😂
Sure has great recall when defense ask questions and very hazy inability to answer questions for prosecution
I have never wanted to smack the smug off of someone’s face so much in my life.
The jury probably found him guilty purely on his smug and arrogant behaviour.
A narcissist should never take the stand in their own defence. Their narcissistic behaviour shines through when being accused or questioned.
He was acquitted on the murder charge. Only found guilty on the much less manslaughter charge and he will be out soon.
@@professorvoluck9311 it’s so sad that justice wasn’t served in this case. The only real tears I saw were when he was sentenced.

Oh god this guy infuriates me with his lies and false crying act! Pathetic, he was jelous and he shot her, case closed.. life without parole !
How is this even testimony? He says he doesn't remember anything .
@IleneVallance "doesn't remember anything"is equivalent to "No comment" it's SO irritating
what do you mean he doesn't remember anything? he remembers the pizza, the movie he was watching and the amount of drinks he had 🤣
I think every time they ask him if he’s done reading and he says “NO” he’s just buying time to come up with an explanation… but that clearly failed 🤣💯
Anyway he is a sloooow reader with a poor memory 😉.
how long does it take you to find something in an article, rad it, and try to remember if thats what you actually said. because police wrote it, definitely does not mean you said it that way
He’s highly trained in gun safety, in the Army, an Armor & has more knowledge of guns & gun safety than most of the population. He also builds them himself. He came home after being gone 3 weeks & found a bottle of Fireball whiskey & found out that his wife’s ex-boyfriend brought it over to her, while he was away. He also saw that his “stuff” had been, as he described “gone through” & he assumed the ex-boyfriend did it. I can’t believe anyone on the planet could actually believe this highly trained soldier who is an Armor in the Army, has 14 guns in his apartment & also builds guns at home for fun, came home after being away 3 weeks & of all the things he could do, his first thought was to clean a gun (that I doubt NEEDED cleaning) after a jealous fueled argument with his wife because he suspects she cheated with her ex while he was gone & didn’t notice there was a bullet in the chamber & also didn’t have the safety on & just happened to “accidentally” shoot her dead center in the back of her head & then instead of helping her or even calling 911, he instead ran around the apartment, hid things & dumped out that bottle of Fireball whiskey (because he knew it was part of the motive for killing her) and while in the police cruiser at the scene never cried & never cried until he learned that he’s facing consequences for it & in the interrogation he repeatedly questioned “why ME?!” & “this isn’t supposed to happen to ME!” along with other selfish statements. I dove deep into this case, files, documents, interrogation etc & this guy 100% killed her in a fit of jealousy. He’s also been spoiled & babied by his Mom his entire life. I think that’s where a lot of his arrogance comes from & although his Mom sold everything she owns to try to get him out of these charges, including her home & now she’s going to move to whatever city he serves his ridiculously short sentence in, she needs to stop disabling him & let him grow up & finally deal with the consequences of his actions WITHOUT her there bailing him out every single time. I have a Daughter their age, in my opinion they got married way too young. I’d NEVER let my Daughter marry at only 17yrs old. These kids brains aren’t even fully equipped to handle adult life & adult situations, like jealousy & infidelity.
i agree, it’s hard to believe that this was an accident. thirteen and a half years is a pitiful sentence for taking her life.
I agree with you all the way. He is a pittyfull excuse of a man. According to several of Danielles friends he was controlling and jealous.
I agree. I personally hate firearms, but I am also an army veteran & one of the first things we learn in basic at the range is gun safety. You so much as point your weapon anywhere but at the ground & you’re getting smoked out by your drills…& those weapons were definitely not loaded. As someone firearm naive in my civilian life but versed due to the military I know this. This guy not only served in an armory unit but built firearms & hunted in his civilian life, he knows proper safety very well. There is no way this was accidental.

A jury would be confused by the prosecutor spending so much time on the statement to police as if it is the only evidence he has. Their eyes would have glazed over as they wished they had a fast forward button.
But it’s all for impeachment purposes, so the jury will know by the end of the trial that they can disregard any or all of his testimony.
