This judge is an example of how a judge should be. He's thorough, explains everything slowly, calmly, and rationally. He's gone above and beyond to include the community and make sure everyone understands. Educating people makes such a massive difference in understanding and not believing fake information. This is exactly what needs to happen.

He pretty much flat out said he installed cameras in the courtroom so everyone could see the outcome no matter what it was to make himself look good because he was ruling on a controversial case and then denounced the jury’s verdict on camera in front of the entire court room and said he didn’t agree with their decision and then threatened the girl with jail time after the fact. How is that a good judge?

What annoys me the most in cases like this is... how the parents do not make their child take responsibility for their part in the crime. Instead this family is hiding behind her eating disorder, and asking that she be allowed to come home, to the comfort of their home, so they can look after her. Right!! Like those parents didn't tell her to eat less, so she would look sickly, and be released earlier. Manipulating the system, and not holding her accountable. It's tough to take, but it's the law. The Ohio legislature defined "child endangerment." It may not be MY definition, but it's the law the jury had to follow. 100% agree. She was young, and didn’t have that type of relationship. I promised myself to have a very open relationship w/ my kids. I’ve gotten calls at 1 am, asking to be picked up from friend’s home bc she got uncomfortable. My kids tell me more than I want to hear, at times, most everything. Teens will keep secrets, but a good parent will have an unconditional relationship w/ their kids. I ingrained that into them! It’s a no matter what, I’ll love you. It didn’t mean there aren’t some punishments, but by the age of 15, my daughter and I talked, and I told her how I told my mom EVERYTHING, and then if anyone said anything, she knew she could ask me, and I’d be truthful. This was important for the times, someone said I did something I didn’t do. It’s called integrity. A person w/ upstanding integrity, won’t ever have to worry about ppl telling lies. My almost 18 yo daughter, tells me I’m her bff all the time! However, I don’t have to worry about pregnancy since she’s a fem, dating a dude. I love them, and they started dating at 15, and they’re still together. I’ve been married for 20 years to her dad, and her bf’s parents, also have. I do believe in-tact marriages, help the kids in their relationship. We don’t run from problems, we face them and find a way to compromise. We had 4 kids, and my youngest is almost 18. My older children are in committed relationships, 1 has been married a few years. Pls, talk to your kids! It is all about communication. She was young, and scared. She didn’t leave the live newborn into the dumpster, near winter, without clothes or blanket. That girl, is in jail, and deserves as many years as what is allowed.

She was young, and scared. She didn’t leave the live newborn in the dumpster, near winter, without clothes or blanket. That girl, is in jail, and deserves as many years as what is allowed.
