Death sentence should be within 1 day not 20+ years what a joke 😡
It's a life & death sentence.

We can learn something from the Japanese their Death sentence is psychological, you can go from court straight to the death chamber no date is ever given , sometimes they will take you from your cell strap you in and take you back out to your cell.
It's not right that the killers get to sit on death row for 20yrs, using the system to launch their legal appeals. The victims didn't have that privilege. This situation is not only an oxymoron, but it should be used as an example to get the law changed. I suggest getting it changed to a points based system. Once the death penalty is sentenced, then a checklist made up to award points for expedition. Along with that, an improvement in evidence collection, dna, recording devices, we now get more accuracy with the investigation and legal system, there should be less needs for appeals.
I Just Said The Same Thing.
My niece and two of her children and her unborn grandchild was murdered. He tried to plead insane but that didn’t work. He got the death penalty and is waiting on the execution date. It took 9 years for all of his appeal’s to be denied and rejected, even to the Supreme Court.

The defendant is so despicable. He killed two people and looks like he thinks he has done nothing wrong. He deserves the maximum punishment.
Timothy Loehmann does not repent at all. He keeps trying to go back to the police for having possibility to kill more people without punishment using qualified immunity. That's why he deserves the death penalty much more than Joseph McAlpin. Or at least, the life imprisonment. Joseph McAlpin does not try to work at police and does not try to continue murdering. Most likely, he can repent. He admits he was wrong. Timothy Loehmann does not admit he was wrong. He showed no sign of remorse for his actions, and he is completely indifferent to Tamir's parents' suffering. If I made decisions, I would replace them.

They should make a law that when a murderer is sentenced to death his organs be donated without consent, they took a human life, they should be forced to save some lives with their organs.

Why did this case take 7 yrs for justice for this familys loss!!!
Our legal system in the US is pathetic.
Usually murder cases take YEARS and that is normal, EVERYONE has the RIGHT TO A FAST AND SPEEDY TRIAL WITHIN 120 days BUT MANY ppl waive their right to the 120 days so they have longer to prepare & the longer it is before trial- ppls memory aren’t as good and there could be reasons ppl that testify against you are not deemed reliable anymore, they could have lost their life (ppl usually associate with ppl like them) & co-defendants- the likelihood of something happening that make it to where they can’t testify against them anymore many things can happen in the years before trial happens. When death penalty is on the table, they have to make sure they have enough time to prepare for trial and that they do it properly so they hopefully they can’t win any appeals they try to do, if you have a public defender- they have SOO many cases and there many that are qualified to work on cases with death penalty if convicted
Perhaps read the case file before making false assumptions. He committed the murders in 2017. He was sentenced to death in 2019 by a jury. That is less than 2 years. The rest of the time was the defendant filing a bunch of motions for appeal, motions for a new trial, motions for prosecutorial misconduct, motions for continuances, etc.
For those wondering why they add these many years after sentencing to death, as we know, laws constantly change, if for whatever reason while the prisoner is waiting their turn to be executed the death penalty is abolished, if the prisoner was sentenced with a death penalty only, then the prisoner would be released. That's why you see they add a lot of years after sentencing someone to the death penalty or life in jail.
Thank you. I was wondering why.
UselessInnovations
This bit of your statement doesn't make sense to me. "if the prisoner was sentenced with a death penalty only, then the prisoner would be released." ? Hard to believe that if that was the case, ooops, death penalty has been abolished, you're free to go ??

If the defendant had the ability to feel REMORSE he wouldn't have killed those innocent people. Stop looking for REMORSE because even if he faked REMORSE it wouldn't change what this defendant did.
The arrogance on his face after murdering 2 innocent people is sickening 💔😰😰
I hate that the dude is sitting there like he did nothing and he’s about to get away with something.

You would be surprised at how many people that are free that have the same mentality as him. The same evil nature. So many people. This world is very, very dark and people are very, very sick in the head.

Many ppl have bad childhoods, most do not grow up to be cold blooded killers...
You tell it ..An eye for an eye...right on.
Judge: You've been sentenced to death
Defendant: But the court fees...
He just wanted to sort out the details as to not have bad credit later 😂 in case he wants to get a loan on a car
Court costs will actually come off of his commissary so that further affects the inmates standard of living

Get him to talk about his childhood and he will definitely start crying

Maybe HE should run for president?
These killers get too many appeals while getting to live out their lives on death row yet their victims are dead and their families forever changed. For him it’s just a day in court !!! 😮😮😮
He's just sitting there with a pleasant smile like someone's telling a sweet story. Very creepy.
Hope they cook him.
He's probably heavily medicated for the mental illness he certainly suffers from.
No he's just come to terms with his psychology and what the effects of his childhood had on him, and he's spent time in prison already - years. So he has had time to think about his situation, this is why he is at least cordial with the judge. He has probably accepted or began coming to terms with the thought of dying soon ie. death penalty.
Sarah Wai Yee it’s called bravado
What do you want him to do? He has already resigned his fate to the executioner.
might wanna change the video thumbnail to the actual person committing the crime lol
That would be racist.
But If They did That RUclips would put a Strike against them Because he was Black!
Not trying to defend his crime. But the major part of this story is that this country was built on the premises of "All Men Are Created Equal" but this never proves to be the case.

Yea, there's an "In case of resurrection..." clause built in by default.
What the hell he’s worried about the court cost for? His ass is dying there!
I had a bad childhood. Instead of stabbing my abusive and neglectful adopted mother, I chose to live with more prosperity and sincerity.
Ditto for me. My father was physically, emotionally, mentally, and sexually abusive to me. I rarely had enough to eat and lived in no less than 20 different slums and homeless shelters all before the age of 15 (whereupon I ran away from home). I later joined the military, spent 24 years on active duty, along the way I divorced my wife and gained custody of my two boys who later went to BOTH graduate as Valedictorians of their high school three years apart. I despise my father and often pray for his death (he’s still living at 70-the evil ones live forever dontcha know!) but I chose early on to overcome the abuse, neglect, and abject poverty and break the cycle. I did so through a lot of hard work to better myself.

For the ones saying the person used the lawyer for the thumbnail, the man is actually the prosecutor.
After watching this, I feel nothing for this guy. Kind of the same way he showed lack of emotion, regret, or any care of his victims. DEAD MAN WALKING
He'll serve 35 years before they get around to executing him.
Even so quality of life on death row is much much worse than general population, I interviewed several California Inmates who were released from death row to general population by the bitch Rose Bird, the were ecstatic, next best thing to parole. If you want to be a criminal move to California, Governor Newsom will be your best friend. No consequences for burglary, Newsom made non violent offenses legal!
Greg Martin that’s O.K. because the 35 will be a living hell. A fast execution is an escape for the scumbag. Drag it out and make it PUNISHMENT. He’s a turd. So at 5 he shot himself with his mother’s gun. SO WHAT?
Good enough for him, oxygen thief is what he is.
Dam Double torture, it's like 2 death sentences to serve!!!
_Greg Martin_ ::: _IF_ he's _LUCKY_ !
I have been working in corrections now for the last 19 years and I can speak to the fact that 99 percent of the inmates in prison should never be let out because all they are going to do is commit more crimes and create more victims. They do not want to change and most don’t even bother to try.
Put this man in prison for the rest of his life prison is worse than death. An eye for an eye will only make the world blind
His kids will grow up to understand that their father is a murderer. He set the example.
His kids will grow up with a single mother and gorge themselves on millions of dollars of welfare. They will then have kids at 15 and collect their welfare. The cycles goes on.
