Brandon Vandenburg and Cory Batey, both 21, were convicted of multiple counts of aggravated rape, aggravated sexual battery and other charges after a 12-day jury trial in January 2015. A new trial was granted after it was revealed the jury foreman has been a victim of statutory rape. According to evidence, including graphic images and videos shown during trial, Batey sexually assaulted an unconscious student in a dorm in June 2013 while Vandenburg encouraged and filmed the act.

why does the defence lawyer take such a long gap between questions then say " OK " in a high pitch squeaky voice. so annoying !!
I can't continue watching this. The defense attorney truly needs more time to hone her craft.

I’m embarrassed for this defense attorney, it’s like she unprepared. Sad for her that it’s recorded for anyone to hear her poor technique.

This guy is totally lying. Saying as little as possible so the prosecution doesn't come after him.
“Hearing the Rumors” 🙄 no he was remembering the night clearly and knew he was caught! but at that stage he wasn’t sure what could be proven. 🤥. The pictures, videos and texts say it all. He’s defense is poor but seriously how could you even start to try defend his actions when there is so much incriminating evidence.

I was 💀 when defense counsel said "I got a headache" while searching for an exhibit. She seems like somebody who got a sibling or friend out of trouble by debating an issue when they were kids and Big Mama said " Oooh, Baby! You're so smart! You're gonna be a lawyer when you grow up!" Bless her heart, she just ran with that one.
