Yeah I’ve noticed this too. I’ve played with 2100 dpi forever and I’m stuck with it because my muscle memory has accounted for the mouse smoothing/negative acceleration that comes with high dpi. I’ve tried many times to switch to 400 dpi with the same cm/360 but my aim is always much worse.
What 90% of csgo pros use is 400 DPI with different in-game sensitivities from about 1.2 to 6(woxic sensitivity) but normal sense is from about 2 to 4 sense ingame and 400 DPI, everyting with 6 windows sensitivity
An important thing to note regarding his concern over the vertical movement when trying to move the crosshair horizontally. Your hand will have a natural up and down variation in your swipe, the high DPI just shows all the small minor fluctuations. However on average there's no more movement with the high DPI then there is with the low dpi. If you were to try and do a quick 180 flick most likely the high DPI crosshair movement would look something like a sine wave with smooth variations in height. While the low DPI would look more like a step function where it's going flat, jumps up a frame gos flat for a little bit jumps back down a frame so on and so forth. However the amplitude of both would be equal.
A very unlikely, but technically possible case in which the above statement wouldn't work out would be if your natural hand variation in vertical movement while trying to move horizontally is low enough that per a swipe before you pick up your mouse a low DPI setting would not have been able to register a full vertical change yet. In that case you could in theory have a high DPI mouse that has variation in vertical heights, whereas at the lowest DPI setting you would never notice any vertical fluctuation. However that only works if your hand is so steady that your total vertical variation is less than the few pixels that the low DPI mouse jumps. And if that's the case the slight fluctuation from the high DPI would not affect you as you would have very consistent movements

Adding to "may be different for you", 3kliksphilip did a video on this topic years ago and he got the same result so it's probably the same for most people. Honestly i go with 1200 DPI, not too high and not too low. *and 4.20 sens*
eh, dpi is suppose to work in sequence with the windows default sensitivity. i use 6/10 in windows so i use 400 dpi for regular mouse speed. ive done 1 in windows and 6400dpi its the same but you just have to find whats smoothest for you.
This video as well as many ppl got it all wrong. Dpi has nothing to do with frame skipping. It’s the in game sensitivity. When you lower your dpi, in order to get the same overall sensitivity, you increase the in game sensitivity. A high in game sensitivity then may introduce frame skipping, not the mouse dpi.
Nice to see the Video so quick, after my tweet to you about this :)

hi. i got one question, did u calibarte ur mouse on ur mousepad and tried to figure out any differences? id like to know if these function improves the tracking (especially when u dont have a preset mousepad of razer and need to calibrate for urself) or if it is just marketing. Thanks for the good content :)
I play with:
400 dpi - 0.72 csgo
How bout you?
I play with 550 DPI - 3 CS GO. For me, it is perfect.
I play with 1200 DPI and 3,5 Sens in CS:GO.
bro u need a whole table to move with that kind of sens
@@jpskie3268 i actually do! My friend also told me about that and be like "no one would cross a country just to aim"
how do u check corners with that sens ? too low
In the beginning i played with 4000 dpi and 1.87 ingame. I got everybody with the AWP, but it was really hard to hit headsshots at long distances with an AK
'-' very high
Wtf does he say in the beginning? Doesn’t sound like English to meh
You are a ignorant punk!!!
Very informative , thanks
means better im using 800 dpi and 1.545 than 400 and 3.09?
Yeah its just the multiplier that matters
coping s1mple ?
yes . u can use 800 dpi 1.5 .. better than 400 dpi
Yeah im copying s1mple but i’ve been long time using this sens so yeah i’m enjoy it
John Primo aight thanks for the explaination
Adding to "may be different for you", 3kliksphilip did a video on this topic years ago and he got the same result so it's probably the same for most people.
Honestly i go with 1200 DPI, not too high and not too low. *and 4.20 sens*
Use 4800 sens mate
Mefju23 did guide about it almost 3 Years ago :p
eh, dpi is suppose to work in sequence with the windows default sensitivity. i use 6/10 in windows so i use 400 dpi for regular mouse speed. ive done 1 in windows and 6400dpi its the same but you just have to find whats smoothest for you.
First time seeing the word "Versus" instead of "VS." in a thumbnail
True lol
This video as well as many ppl got it all wrong. Dpi has nothing to do with frame skipping. It’s the in game sensitivity. When you lower your dpi, in order to get the same overall sensitivity, you increase the in game sensitivity. A high in game sensitivity then may introduce frame skipping, not the mouse dpi.
