Crochet Pineapple Stitch Shawl (pt1/2)

  • This video is the first part of two for the pineapple stitch shawl. It's a very easy pattern, even a beginner can follow, the only thing that seems difficult is that every pineapple is completed in many rows. Other than that it's a repetition up until you finish your shawl.

    Greetings from France, a dream come true 💕 PINEAPPLE SHAWL. CONGRATULATIONS 🏆🏆🏆🌹I did make one 5 years ago but on a different channel. It was explained in Arab so I had to mute it and follow the kind lady's fingers but got stuck on the 8th row. Guess what GAVE UP R.I.P😥😱. You are THE BEST ADORABLE Teacher for shawls on RUclips. Your voice is so soft and a pleasure to listen to. A step by step tutorial WITH NO ANNOYING FORWARD WIND, explained in detail. A very great tip on the 5 chains to five boxes for the pineapple, a great help. A well planned tutorial so easy to UNDERSTAND and FOLLOW. Wowwwzy just great. Thanks a million for sharing caring and making a 70 year old SMILE, a bowl of oxygen. A big hug. 👍👍👍⚘⚘⚘🌹🌹🌹🥰🥰🥰

    This is absolutely so easy to follow that in a lot of rows I was actually working ahead of you. I'm using Lady Lydias Super 10 crochet thread and a size 3.0mm hook and it is coming out just gorgeous!!! I think I already know how to progress from here (at the junction of the two shells in the middle, I'm betting we'll do that "2 sets of four...basically 2 shells with ch 2 in the middle" to bring them together and set up for another pineapple eventually. But... off to part 2 to see if I'm right, LOL! Thank you so much... this is EXACTLY what I was looking for! I'm making it for a friend that bought a kind of "hawaiian print" summer dress with spaghetti straps and she wanted something to throw over her shoulders. All I could think was.... pineapples!

    • @KikiCrochet
      @KikiCrochet  6 лет назад

      Thank you very much! This is light weight yarn, and the reason that's soft is because it's half acrylic/ half cotton. If you were in Greece I would be able to tell you what yarn to use but in other countries I don't know what yarn they use, brand names etc.

When I stop the video, you'll just follow the same exact steps you did earlier in orfer to start your new pineapple! Let me know, if you're still confused so I can help more!

    Hello Kiki would you try this shawl with acrylic yarn (100%)? Or do you think that this is a waste of time?

    • @KikiCrochet
      @KikiCrochet  6 лет назад

      Hello, Melina! I think it would a waste of time. A 100% acrylic yarn will not have the same or similar result with that of the picture. You'll either use a 100% cotton, half and half cotton with acrylic as I'm using, mohair or similar yarn with those I mentioned.
