Ok Crystal, you have done it now... I must make that wrap. I went to their site and although they were out of stock on so many colors I did find 2 that I ordered. Me too. I bought extra Stained Glass yarn so I could do those points!!! Love love love, the pineapple stitch. However, learning with that yarn (?) Thread, isn't easy for me. I have never been any good with small yarn. But, it's so beautiful!! I just HAVE to make this.

I'm a bit confused about combining this video with the other to finish pineapples but will have to try. I was unsuccessful with the granny bucket hat and ended up with something like a strawberry shortcake bonnet, lol. I will keep trying to improve and progress though! I absolutely LOVE the pineapple stitch!! It's BEAUTIFUL in this wrap, which I seriously am going to make, as soon as I can find this yarn. It's SO BEAUTIFUL with this yarn. I made one for a friend of mine many years ago. I made a tablecloth. I suggest NOT making it in white!!! Off white is much better. IMHO. A stain on white? Stains on white are most difficult to get off. There are suggestions to follow BEFORE it is tossed into a bleach water wash.
I am so excited about this. I just bought the yarn from Rena’s to do this one called Sunset, which is going to be perfect cause I’m going on a cruise in January and this will be awesome so happy ❤❤❤❤

My mother liked making Afghans, wasnt willing to make me another but was willing to teach me!!! I dont remember being intimidated. Edit... I'm 54, still have them, still love them!! Lovely to have an option for the edge. I grew up in an era where all tables were covered in doilies, many of them with "pineapples" dangling over the edges of the tables. So seeing a shawl in this design gives me a bit different feel than most probably experience. It isn't a wearable, it's a table cover! But I love the alternate edge! So soft and decorative in a very subtle way.

Lovely!! Reminds me of Doris Chan’s shawl with much bigger yarn and hook in her 2006 book. I didn’t think her shawl was practical because its holes were big. I like summer shswls/wraps with light yarn. Heavy yarn should be for cold weather. ❤❤❤❤

Hi Crystal, love everything abt the wrap, the yarn is gorgeous and the pineapples are delicious. I learned to do pineapples abt two/three months after I learned to crochet by following a pattern in a book. They were sooo intimidating that I thought, omgee, I’m never going to get that done but I aced it and made my mom a tablecloth and did a pineapple square once more and never again. All that work was done with a size 20 coats and Clark thread.
I’m going to do this wrap tho, bcuz it speaks volumes, it says “look at me, I’ve arrived.”
