Hi everyone look at the 16 minute mark for the correction about the row at which you begin the arm hole chain it is not at the 14th row but at the 34th row....I obviously had too much coffee that day...but I fixed it a while ago...by adding some text with the right amount of rows.... at the 16th minute in the video...hope it helps!!!! Loved the pattern of the vest and enjoyed the bloopers at the end.
I just finished my first Boho shawl using this video :-) I used the Lion Brand Mandala yarn and a size G/4mm hook. It turned out lovely! I used two of the 150 gram skeins in the Unicorn color, I am very tall so i ended up with 48 rows total and the length and width is perfect and roomy.
So happy you posted this comment .. was wondering how it would turn out with the Lion Brand Mandala that is what I am going to use then.. thanks a million !! :)

Can you tell me what row you start the armholes when using Mandala yarn?
I did not do one with armholes yet but I counted on the one I did do....I would do 29 completed rows and then do the armholes, and finish rest of the shawl. I hope that makes sense and keep in mind I am tall, almost 6 foot, so I make large long shawls. A smaller person would probably use 1 1/2 skeins of the mandala yarn.

250 yards, I used Caron Cakes, about 1 + a little more because I like my shawls a little bigger because I am bigger lol

I made now 3 shawls to give as as gifts. Every one loves them. I made one for myself as a vest with the armholes. The holes are a little too far apart , l think it's because I used a thicker yarn. Should I make the arm holes after 30 rows? Thank you again for the lovely pattern.

The hook size at 2.25 mm is just too small for a wool that thick. Can I instead use 4 mm?
