- In this Easy triangular crochet shawl tutorial, I am going to show you how to crochet the Love Lock shawl.
If you follow me for a while, you know how much I love my triangular shawls. I wear them year in and out, in cotton, and acrylic, and this time I made one with the Aztec Aran with alpaca.
I am also constantly adjusting them. They slide off my shoulders, and they don't sit very well. So I thought I would come up with an idea of trying to lock the shawl into place.
And so the love lock shawl was born.

Dear Anja I love this shawl. I’ve almost completed the Fleur shawl( ran out of wool for the fringe) will complete it as soon as I receive the extra ball I needed. This is next for sure. Actually I’ve made 2 of them, one for Christmas present in sparkle black yarn and one pink and green multi for me.😊

I will take it slowly and make sure its right I Lways wear shawl s and ponchos Instead of coats I sweat too much In coats the menopause you know what us girls have to put up with .en don't know what we have to deal with do they keep churning the great patterns out love what you do xx

I like the keyhole for the shawl. I find it annoying when even small scarves constantly fall off.

Hi Anya! lovely work! this is the first one I started, and even though I am using Aran yarn, it is not with Alpaca and it is very stiff, I am using a bigger hook 6.5, but still quite stiff...what a shame as what you use makes it look so soft and wrapping around beautifully! any suggestions, would be welcome! :) Thanks for all the patterns and tutorials!
activegardenltd1199 try using a bigger hook again from what you've used, it might just be that the yarn you've got isn't suitable for this project, this happens sometimes. Anja x

Are you positive we didn’t jump from row 3 to 5? I’ve paused and counted too. Then it goes to 6? I’m confused. I’m sorry :(
Love this but don’t like the peak at the back (my personal preference) any idea how I can avoid the peak and continue with the pattern?
Use the stitch pattern and make a rectangle! Anja x

I must be doing something wrong. At end of row 3, I've come up with 18 stitches twice already. There are 2 in !st stitch, then 4, then 2 in corner, ch 2, 2 more in corner, then 4 going back down the other side, then 2 at the end. Do we not count the chain 2 as stitches?
Do I count them in other rows? Please re-watch the video and l'm sure it will answer your questions, thank you, Anja x
