Good on your husband to realise the potential of your project!
I've been quite ill at times for the last two years so your videos have been great companions for when I'm bedridden. Always saves a few of your videos for when sickness comes. Your demeanor and gentle way of talking is very soothing.

Going to really miss your Sekiro videos, they have been an absolute highlight for me. Sounds cliche to say but they helped me take my mind of things. It's nice to focus on something i was already interested in and wanted to learn more about and your presentation, attention to detail, and excitement for the topics at hand made it all a joy to engage with.
Excited for the bonus video and future projects of yours. Wishing you the best, and a relaxing time off 😊

Thanks you, Shetani's Husband, for being the reason we got to see these many hours of top tier content!
I get so excited whenever I see a new upload. Back when I discovered this channel, and was working on through the backlog of videos you had already uploaded, I spend my every lunch break watching a video and just having my mind blown about how much there still was to learn about some of my favourite games.
No Shetani video is ever put on as background noise here! I watch every one with my full attention. Thank you for the many hours of work you put into these videos so that us nerds can be amazed with you about all these discoveries. I look forward to whatever you put out next. Until then, happy holidays!

Fantastic series of videos. I feel in terms of lore, Sekiro is overlooked compared to the other Souls games. There are very fascinating lore videos and different content creators on youtube who unpack Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Elden Ring in various ways, but Sekiro, from what I've seen, hasn't gotten the same treatment. Thank you very much for posting these and doing so much work. I hadn't realised there were blog posts and I am happy to see there are written versions of this research. The Fountainhead Palace is my absolute favourite Sekiro location, and one of my favourites of any location FromSoftware have ever made, and the way you talked about it in your video was just so damn cool.
Thank you again for this, and your husband for encouraging you to share! Otherwise we'd all miss out on some seriously interesting stuff.

Been following your videos closely for almost 2 years now and I couldn't be more grateful for the extensive insight and knowledge you've provided on the world of Sekiro. It feels like I've learned significantly more about the game from your videos than from most other sources that don't provide as much context on so, so, many small details. Thank you for all the contributions you've done on Sekiro!

It was an amazing journey and I'm glad to have discover your blog and then the channel.
I share your frustrations with lore theories sometimes made with imprecise localization.
I hope you will find other games to analyze and enjoy.

Thank you for sharing this! It's been amazing to go through and rethink some of my theories with new contexts. I loved your Takeru and Tomoe video, Senpou Temple, and Fountainhead Palace... those stories have been the hardest to wrap my head around, and having slightly different translations and just slowing down to look at the scenery without being destroyed by enemies was helpful.
After watching everything, my current theory for Fountainhead and the Palace Nobles is that the Nobles were feeding off Divine Heirs for years, hence why Takeru and Tomoe left. Perhaps they intended to make Tomoe a living sacrifice, and Takeru saved her life much like Kuro saves Wolf. The Palace Nobles are so desperate for youth when Wolf arrives, maybe because their main source has been gone for nearly 20 years. Also, the crest of Tomoe's people on the Mortal Blade... there's so much new information to think about. Thank you so much!

I love this series so SO much. Thank you for recognizing how much meaning can be lost in translation, and for doing the work to understand & share that meaning with an English speaking audience.
Doing this for other/future games by Fromsoft would be a gift-even if they don't carry the real-world, historical context that Sekiro does. Thank you so much for this series. ❤

I've loved every second of all of your Sekiro videos. What will you do next? Have you thought about continuing Japanese lore with games like Nioh/Nioh 2? They're both historical games with beautiful and detailed settings. Quite different gameplay from Sekiro but a comparable setting.

Thanks! The next project hasn't taken shape yet. I've been thinking about Nioh, but the gameplay doesn't seem to be up my alley and I know it will be hard for me to do anything on a game that I don't wholeheartedly enjoy playing („• ֊ •„)

will there be elden ring content in japanese?

  • @ajizel13
    @ajizel13 8 месяцев назад

When it comes to the localization, we english speakers, inspite the pronoun debates happening, have no concept of male/female pronouns when speaking in first person....this is a first ive even heard of something like that....male/female pronouns in english tend to be more relevant in 3rd person, which is where the pronoun debates reach civil war levels...
Itd be interesting if you did elden ring, or ghost of tsushima as another project(for tsushima, maybe some lore on the weapons, armor, and items)(elden ring seems like itd be as big of a project as sekiro)
"Japanese is not my first language"
Honestly you had me fooled...tbh i thought you were an asian, with how fluent you pronounce japanese words and speech..
