I think the Shinobi Hunter's name has a simpler reasoning: when becoming a buddhist monk, it was common for one to change his real name to something related to their precepts and En-Shin is made up by 圓 meaning "coin", alluding to his work as a mercenary, and 真 meaning "truth"; to further support this, if 真 was his real name, I'd argue it should be read Shinji, as it's the male variant contrary to Shin, used for women.
