- Is this the best Android Tablet for the DJI Mini 2 or Air2s?
The compact Samsung Galaxy A7 Lite with 8.7 inch screen could be an excellent companion for your DJI Fly Drone controller.
Ever got a phone call while flying your drone?
It might be time to get another device for your controller.

Excellent vid. use the Samsung Galaxy A7 Lite (8.7" Screen) 64GB version, little more expensive than the 32GB but well worth it for piece of mind
Thank you. The 32gb is fine for me because I use a limited number of apps but the extra storage would definitely be handy for screen recording too.
@@droneqld For Extra A$15 dollars you can buy 32GB micro sd card and record to it. ...Just to add I use AZ screen recorder to record directly to external storage.
@@lee8org Hi, thanks yes I have an SD card. I'll try AZ screen recorder if you think it's good.
I could not get the fly app to work on the a7 lite 32gb I believe you need to have the 64gb for the app to work .
@@KrazyD You need to download the app from the DJI website.
Bro... The stuff you mentioned in this video is exactly what i was looking for, does it work with dji fly, I want to watch YT in bed, or check my emails... haha so thank you ✌🏼✌🏼
Yes, works fine with DJI Fly. Apologies for the way late reply.
my dear,Wohoo~yeah~total awesome ,😎
Ive heard the screen is very hard to see in daylight, Ive ordered one for my mini 2 hope it performs good.
Make sure to change the screen settings to full brightness and turn off the adaptive brightness.
As far as screens go at this price point you will find it hard to do better.
Consider pointing the antennas towards the aircraft as the aluminium case will block the signal.
Hola funciona bien?
Got a A7 with data...but then I flew outside on a sunny day.....Tripletek Pro 9 for the win.
Agreed but I go for bang for buck. Sunlight is too much for the Tab 8 so I usually set myself up in the shade of a tree.
Would you happen to have a print file for the tablet holder? 🤞🏻
No, I did buy it cheap on eBay however.
How you go in the field and still fly your drone. With out WiFi.. do the app do not need it or do it need Wi-Fi
Mostly I have my phone transmitting a hotspot for wifi. I think I should try that but make sure I have seen the maps of the area in the Fly app first.
Good job
I have a question is the Tablet really a "Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite 8.7" with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM?
I have one with these characteristics and I have a lot of artifacts in the image, what can I change or configure differently to reduce this?
Thanks
Viva Jose, conseguiste resolver este problema?
If using with a Drone, keep the antennae pointed in the direction of the Drone.
Can you please help. I can't get the height toggle to move more than 25 metres, and I'm using the mini se
You need an account for the drone then you can fly wherever. Just use an email address and a password.
Yes I believe you need the DJI account or the Mini 2 stays in beginner mode.
They have killed so we cant install on tablets. Have a galaxy tab 2019. Worked with pocket 1. Now i wanted my p3 to work. Couldnt find now took the latest version just getting this app is not installed. Would be great when i make movies to have a bigger screen than the phone
wait.... how come that a tablet that, by default, blocks wifi signal from the controller, lags all the time and has some distorted image on the screen is the best tablet to use with the drone?? What did I miss here?
The controller was designed for a phone. The large tablet has an aluminium case and can obstruct the line of sight from the antenna to the drone.
@@droneqld oh, I see. So do you have a phone you recommend for the DJI fly app?
Not enough ram. Lag at turning the drone.
If using with a Drone, keep the antennae pointed in the direction of the Drone.

Don't use the tab A 7 or any series of the A phones or tablet. They're only HD and not 4k so will not get the playback.
Yes that's correct you will not receive playback in 4k dude to the limitations of the screen resolution.
It seems this unit has no GPS capability - wi-fi only. That's seriously limiting the potential functions. Any comments from anyone?
Mine has GPS, and the screen is a little better in Sunlight than I first thought it was.
Mini 2 is gps and ocusync 2.
