- Here is an interview with the Treasure Hunter of the year for 2012 in West Palm Beach Fl. He shows the 2 metal detectors he uses for the beach water and explains why they are the best.
What a nice interview. What I'd give to have a few beers and listen to this man's stories and knowledge! 😄👍
just enjoy the sport ,, and stop saying negative things.. he a good man.. learn something from him.. live on and enjoy the hunting for lost treasure😎..
Nice guy. The world needs more folks like him. I would have liked to hear about some of his finds over the years. I love old timers. They have good advice and good stories.
Great interview, lots of good info. Thanks for sharing, Steve.
I once thought that water hunting was out of my reach due to my age but Steve has inspired me to go forward and start hunting the river system in my area. It's not about profit, it's about getting out and staying active with the possibility of finding something cool. Not to mention the comradery with others that is developed over the years and at the end of the day, the treasure isn't on the table, it's around the table. I know when I'm out there some people look at me like I'm an old fool, but when I'm hunting all of my pain and worries are gone. Hell, I hope this "old Man" finds a 100 rings a year. Some people pay a lot more in different ways to have this.
I’m 74, never turn your back on the ocean!
Thanks for a great interview
From Australia I’ve watched a couple of good videos now with true gentlemen nice polite enjoy the hobby the excersize fresh air when asked how many rings no bs answer 3 so far I think he said 👍
I write field guides on ocean beach hunting and have encountered more than a few professionals. They rarely allow themselves on video for various reasons.
Great advice for Florida residents!
Where did you get that shaft for the Excal II? The balance looks perfect with that set up.
Thank you for sharing your expertise
thanks guys, you're the best!
Good exercise is right. First time at the beach today, 2 hours and I'm beat.
Where did you get the shaft for the Excalibur II?
good job Paul enjoyed meeting Steve
I never found the web site for the 1st detect he talked about. Hmm I wonder why they have no web site?
This great Thanks! Subscribing from Florida .🔊🔊🎧🌴🌴🏴☠️🌴🌴
nicest guy ever and people make rude comments. Whats wring with you people.
hi how electronic card what do you use? what frequency do you have?
I cant find any other place to buy an aquasound metal detector other than ebay, and I'm not a fan of used purchases that are high valued. anybody for a website for them?
Nice info...how come you parked in Handicapped parking spot?
Cause he can,
What kind of shaft do you have on the Excalibur ?
Kellyco in Orlando sells the Anderson shaft it costs around $125.00.
I wonder how many times he has encountered sharks ??
great video subbed :)
Wading or scuba diving with your metal detector is illegal in the state of Florida, high tide mark is as close as you can get to the ocean
Most areas in FL you can metal detect in the water. The only exception I know is around Sebastian Inlet much of the water in leased from the State of Florida to treasure hunters and you can only hunt on the beach.
This reply is absolutely false. I write beach hunting guides. That only applies on the Treasure coast wreck sites close to leased 1715 Fleet Treasure ship wrecks. And even then you can wade in the surf on the beach and no one will say anything. But you start diving on the wreck with a metal detector and the lease owner will likely turn you in since it is illegal to hunt on a lease sunken ship.
..thanks...interesting...
i wonder how the garrett sea hunter mark 2 would perform in the grass anyone?
I don't mean to be rude or negative , but hunting your beaches and this guy finds 30 rings ?? a year and he is giving advice ?? sorry man again i don't want to sound mean but i work beaches in Canada if im lucky i hunt one a football field in length in fresh water and i find minimum 30 gold rings a year ! i use at pro and excal 800 great machines btw . I am glad he is content and has his passion but for your area i would assume volume of good finds to be higher than i might take the advice . HH
The AT Pro is a good machine for fresh water and land targets, but is not the best for Florida beaches or the salt water.
I know people that have found 30 gold rings this month
Grandpa doesn't have a clue! The CTX 3030 blows the Excaliber 2 out of the water.
Both are fine detectors with different advantages and disadvantages depending on where you live and hunt. We are all going to be "grandpa" one day. He has been hunting for decades and he is kind enough to share his thoughts.
The cz21...
Does the weight belt go around the wife's neck?
