I'm in Nashville tn and I had a stroke hopefully in the coming months I will be able to work enough to purchase a used metal detector my white is 40 years old and it's broken when I get able it would probably be great exercise God bless everyone 🙏
I’m always so happy to see a video of yours pop up. I have looked at many different metal detecting channels and have not subscribed to any of them. They don’t measure up to your channel. You just have a way about you where you describe what you’re doing, you don’t have annoying music playing in the background, you don’t show us uninteresting stuff and you’re excited when you find things. I love that. I think it’s wonderful what you were doing, trying to help people find lost jewelry and you always return it when you can. Shawn, your channel is the best. I always hop over no matter what I’m looking at when I see a message that you have a new video. Thank you so much for the entertainment. Take care. Stay safe. Oh, and I love, “freaking pulltabs “!
i actually like the channels that dont use ring finders as a crutch! they put serious time in the hobby and dont plant items your very disrespectful to the hobby and in love with clicks sad for you KATHY!
I came across your other video about finding the lady wallet with the money in it, so I checked a couple of other videos and decided to subscribe. Good job helping other people
Your videos always make me giggle. Esp. when you say Freakin' Pull Tab. Thanks for the giggle today. I look forward to the next video. Keep them coming.
You are amazing because you are such a good person, honest, and caring, and you tried and that is what counts. Who knows maybe you will still find the ring. Like you said and you are right, you would hope the other person would be just as honest, but you just never know. Some very awesome items you found though. Wonderful video, thank you! 🌊💍🌊
Sorry to see you didn't find the ring but go have a good refreshing sleep and put your finding head on and if some low life has taken it shame on them but you done all you could that day if it's there you will find it I've got faith in you Shawn. I'm shaw you will goodluck from cal in Hertfordshire England 🏴 🇬🇧
Well Shaun ya can't find them all unfortunately. Your videos are fun to watch anyway! I love the Florida beaches. I lived near the gulf anout 22yrs ago and we went to the beach to watch the sunsets. I really miss it there! Great video! ❤
Oh man I thought you were gonna show me all the stuff you found at the end of the day I would love to see that silver bracelet after it has been cleaned 👍👍✌️
On Daytona Beach I lost my 10k white gold Hollywood Hills High School class ring near the Pier of Joe's Crab Shack. If you find it that would be amazing. Or if anybody else that does this was found it please let me know...
A number of different methods actually. Sometimes I use electrolysis, sometimes I use the method using aluminum foil, boiling water, baking soda, and vinegar, and sometimes I just hit it on the wire wheel and use a polisher with some rouge to shine it up after
Lol! I had to check that spot over and over again while I was editing to make sure that it wasn't just my computer. My GoPro mic must have bugged out for a second 😂
@@NHbeachmetaldetecting Someone told me he plants the stuff,,,,not sure if it is true…..i heard his mommy yelled at him the other day when he came home with 4 pull tabs…not sure how true that is but I believe it
NOT related to this video: I just saw on ‘Visit Florida’ Web site regarding metal detecting: “Stay Out of the Water In general, stay out the water, whether it's salt or fresh water. On the beach, all lands below the mean high-water line are state sovereignty submerged lands. That even means wet sands.” That wasn’t in the Parks discussion or other excluded regions. It would appear that I either misunderstand this or it just isn’t enforced. What am I missing? ( Not sure I would try this hobby, but it certainly is interesting and would be fun on vacation at the beaches.). Thank you.
I've spoken to police about this, as the topic gets brought up occasionally on the metal detecting forums. While it is a law, it's never enforced(unless in state parks, national parks, preserves, or the stretch of water on the treasure coast which is off limits to detecting). All they asked of me is to always cover holes, remove trash, and respect the areas I'm detecting
I have a question for you. What would be a good first water proof metal detector for my 13 year old grandson? I'd love to get him something enjoyable that would get him away from those video games 😅 I saw so many on Amazon but have no clue where to start
Avoid Amazon if you can. There's a lot of knockoffs, and cheap chinese junk on there. Reputable dealers will be priced similarly, and you'll be helping out the little guy. The Nokta Simplex and the Minelab Xterra Pro are good entry level waterproof machines. www.diggingitdetectors.com is a family-owned metal detecting supply company that can get you all setup with everything he'll need! :)
I have a number of things. For gold jewelry, I start with an ultrasonic cleaner followed by jewelry polish, and then one more round in the ultrasonic to remove the residual polish
I hope someone didn’t scoop it up. Now that you’ve used the Manti for a while, which do you prefer? The Manti or the Excal II? And is the Manti harder to swing in the water I wonder?
I definitely prefer the manticore over the excal. I've used the excal for almost a decade, and love it. The manticore is just more sensitive, and hits deeper. Its a truly stellar machine
They usually post about it on the internet, and other people see the post and send them my way. Either that, or I'll get a message from someone whenever they see someone that needs help finding something. I'm always searching online for lost item posts
Why don't people just leave the pull tabs on the can and throw it away in a proper receptacle?!? Why pull them off? They don't interfere with drinking the beverage.
We appreciate your caring attitude for the folks that need your help. Your friendly manner and the beautiful landscape is uplifting. Keep up the good work.
Thank you!!!
Clearing Florida beaches of "freaking pull tabs" one tab at a time. 👍
Haven't seen a pull tab since the 70's

Good luck and get well soon! When you have a hobby to look forward to you’ll recover a lot faster! 🩷
🙏For you Jerry...
what kind of detector do you need?
I know who has the other half of that Cartier bracelet...
Nora Svet she has a channel on RUclips.
Haha I'll have to check out her video!
Great find today Shawn!!! Keep swinging!
Good effort. I know first hand how disappointing these kind of recoveries can be. Hang in there

Fun hunt 😀
Very nice! Even though your prey was elusive, it is uplifting to watch you work and take the "high road" with your finds.

Beautiful day at the beach… & the silver bracelet was cool. I couldn’t read the engraving on the phone, but it was nice seeing you got it cleaned up…
The engraving says "Dot".
You really do well with metal detecting!!❤❤❤❤❤❤

So sorry you didn’t find it, maybe another time like you said. Love watching your videos!! You are so kind to do this for people ❤
Better luck next time looking forward to the next video when "we find it" 😂 ❤

It's confirmed 18K gold!
Awesome hunt Shawn congrats on the jewelry finds, hopefully you'll find the ring you were looking for 👍

Hi..Pandora previously made a 14kt Bubble ring.
Stamped ALE G585. Maybe made in 925 also. Good luck 🌟.
Enjoyed your video
"Who wouldn't want a Cartier ring?" Answer, Me.......if it belonged to someone else. Thanks for being honest when searching for other's lost items.
…..that’s FREAKIN pull tab!! 🤭

Love your videos , Nice try
Thank you!!
😞 Better luck next time. Chances are good the other guy ran off with it. Heartbreaking people are like that.
Keep on keeping on! 😊👍❤️
Greetings from Poland 😊.
so odd, i just got through watching nora svet searching underwater, and believe it or not, she also found half a cartier bracelet. how odd.
That's wild! I'm going to have to check out that video
Cool scoop
Hey this is the kid you talked to about youtube and starting out and all that was this the video you were recording when i was there
Yeah, I think it was
can't win em all-good effort

What do you use to clean a heavily tarnished silver item?
A number of different methods actually. Sometimes I use electrolysis, sometimes I use the method using aluminum foil, boiling water, baking soda, and vinegar, and sometimes I just hit it on the wire wheel and use a polisher with some rouge to shine it up after
Have you ever found metals from the ship wrecks around Florida? Curious
I plead the fifth due to laws regarding that ;)
@@DetectFlorida You'd know better about that than I would, that's for sure
Hello 🖐️🖐️🥰🥰🥰
The demon voice at 6:35 ~ cracks me up 😄

Anyone watch seek and detect? He is a weirdo. I think he still lives with his mommy. Detect Florida videos are amazing Thanks for all of them!
seek and detect is a complete fake hes like merrill from detecting NYC! ALL CLICKS they are not real detectorist!
@@NHbeachmetaldetecting Someone told me he plants the stuff,,,,not sure if it is true…..i heard his mommy yelled at him the other day when he came home with 4 pull tabs…not sure how true that is but I believe it
Do you advise rinsing off your detector in fresh water after a saltwater hunt?
Always!!! Its very important if you want the machine to last
Nora Svet …has another half of your bracelet..she also has a channel..get together ..
And, is the Cartier thing real?
Its definitely 18k gold, but the serial number is on the other half of the bracelet :(
Who needs to go to the jewelry store.. just hit the beach 😂
What settings are you using on the manticore? Do you use beach low conductor in the water? 👍
I use surf and seawater

Yep I really think the other person that searched before you found it and dip out
do you ever help local guys learn metal detecting in person?
thank you
Not really. I try to educate through my videos as much as I can
Great video! Was the half bracelet you found real?
It's 18k gold, but I'm unsure if it's actually Cartier. I think it is. It's very high quality
I got a few 10k in the low 60s
Miss you budy

I believe they're right around $1,700
@@DetectFlorida wowza
How long do you think that silver bracelet was under there for? When you say a very very long time, is that 6 months, 3 years or 10 years?
It's hard to know for sure when things are that crusty. Decades for sure
@ fascinating! Thanks for the reply
What is the Finders Fee?
I don't ever share that information. Too many people will think its either too much or not enough, and will judge the owner

nice hunt bud, let us know about the bracelet
Its 18k gold!! not sure if its legit Cartier though

It's definitely 18K gold, but the other half of the bracelet is the half with the serial number on it.
My hobby is to collect pull taps and spread them across beaches :P
BANNED ;)
Don't be discouraged, maybe the first person took it . God forbid. If it's there you will find it tommrow.
👍👍👍
During all of your hunts keep all of the pull tabs. Give them to Ronald McDonald House. They use them to raise money.
Cheap ones are $50
Stuff the metal detecting, your videos make me want to pack up and move to Florida!!!💗
I lived in Florida, it is ok to visit. Not great to live there 100% of the year.

Really, he knew it was lost and found it and kept it? Really?? 😢
I have no idea. I just know that someone spent three days out there looking for it before I arrived
Happy Sunday. Generally speaking what side of the great state of Florida do you detect, I live in Weeki Wachee
I'm primarily in Southwest Florida
