    1) shes "leaning" on Jordan so much in the beginning because it makes her look vulnerable and sad, so she can further foster this dynamic of "poor wounded me, im the victim"
    2) she keeps referencing her age because she thinks she's so beautiful and charming that those things also equate to people maybe thinking "she's young enough that she didnt know any better" ... When in reality, saying her age just makes her look like a grown ass adult who's also an incompetent moron because lets be real, that shit aint fooling anybody lmao

    Her trying to sneak in "I even refunded people who had fake receipts" was so ridiculous. Anyone who has worked customer service knows there are systems that keep record of all transactions l...she should have records of who did and who didn't purchase her program ...by order#, email or even just their name..I currently work for a company that sells online webinars (not physical product) and we have records dating from 1999 from two different systems ..we definitely keep track of all transactions lol

    • @Schu0086
      @Schu0086 Год назад +5

      Yes, and I work in fraud remediation. If items are delivered to your verified email, you will usually be held liable. We have other information too, IP and device ID to determine whether an order is legitimate. Most small businesses like this will hire a fraud screening company for a monthly fee. There’s no reason she should have had to pay out on fraudulent purchases.

    • @5taceydaisy
      @5taceydaisy 9 месяцев назад +1

      Especially since every single order was a digital one, so it’s not like someone bought one of her products from her booth at the fair so she didn’t have all their info or some shit. Every single one she sent out was to a specific email address….the same email that would be used to verify the refund, which isn’t exactly something that someone creating a fake receipt would be able to guess correctly. Not to mention that the faker would then have to spoof that real email address onto their own so convincingly that PayPal (or whatever payment service she used) would recognize it as the same and send the refund to the faker instead of to the real person who owns the actual email address being spoofed. Not exactly an easy feat, especially for someone who is clearly just looking for fast and easy cash grab by faking a small business e-product. Aka she’s full of shit.
      I own a small business that sells online, in person, and wholesale to retail stores. Every single online order whether it was from etsy or my own website has been automatically cataloged by the selling platform, and in a way so inherent to the site that I don’t think I could delete it even if I tried! Incredibly easy to search prior orders, especially with an email address. Its amazing to me that she really thinks no one else would know that; business owner or not I feel like that’s pretty common knowledge these days.

    I don't think she started off to hurt anybody. Once she started making big money, living a lavishly and unable to keep up with clients; she thought she would not be held accountable since she was on the internet rather than a brick and mortar store. The only reason she is sorry now is because she got caught. She was addicted to the money and still is. Now she is a grifter of the Christian community and so is her "righteous" husband.

    My favorite part about their fake apology is the outrage that people once they found out that their personalized plan wasn’t personal also wanted a refund. It’s like those guys who make playlists for women they’re interested in and just update the name of the current one they’re into. It feels really great until you learn it’s not for you at all. Pausing the video at 19:30 to say I have zero sympathy for BD being sued at all, but certainly not at 28 years old. I was married at 18 and had an 8 year old and 3 year old by 28, we bought our house at 20, had purchased our own vehicles, multiple times over by 28. We were being adults. We were acting like 28 year olds should. At 18 years of age many people enlist and defend our country. My dad was 17 when he went in. Using age as an excuse is one of the most annoying ways a person uses to deflect responsibility for their own choices. Would being sued by the state of Texas be better or more appropriate at 38? 48? 🙄 I imagine not, it would be just as taxing mentally, emotionally and physically at either age. Had she made better choices, she wouldn't have faced these consequences. Period. Age has nothing to do with it.

      No no don’t you see? She was just this tiny little baby who couldn’t possibly understand how to run this business that she got thrown into all the sudden! It was all just such a blur and she was SOOOOO young that she didn’t even know that hiring people was something that existed! She thought every business owner ran every part of their business all by themselves forever! You can’t fault her for making this one teensy little mistake (that the internet meanies blew so far out of proportion that even the state of Texas was fooled into coming after her!) when she was so young and overwhelmed that she didn’t know what was happening!
      🙄🙄🙄🙄ugggh. All the eyerolls in the world, if that wasn’t clear lol. It just kills me.

    They talk about how her early customers were satisfied, but I think it should be noted that it took a long time for people to figure out that they weren't being given the customized plans that they were paying for. And I just think it's hilarious that her clients finally figured it out by talking to each other in the Facebook group that she created that came as part of the plans they were paying for.

    16:32 people who are narcissistic will talk about something (usually lie) and then look to the people that enable them to back up that lie. They feel like the more ppl who they can get to validate it the more believable it is. For example if I was talking to someone and lying about having pancakes for breakfast I would look and my husband and say “weren’t those pancakes this morning good” forcing him to agree/confirm what I was saying was true. Brittany does this A LOT when she’s trying to paint herself in a certain light.

    the fact that she still attributes all this to "cancel culture" and the only reason the state of Texas took her to court was because of "cancel culture" is what bothers me still. To me, it feels like she still isn't acknowledging that she messed up and is still in denial that this is all her fault. Like, I'm pretty sure a whole state wouldn't sue someone over "cancel culture" and perceived slights, ya know? idk, her response to everything has just rubbed me the wrong way.

    What is frustrating to me is the way she is framing all of this. I completely understand how she feels about all the push back and side talking about her. However, she is taking this approach that she didn’t actually do anything and that she is being made out to be the bad guy. She should have come out and said I made these mistakes, don’t make the same ones I did. Instead of making a series of videos about how people have crapped on her she should put out a series of videos geared at online business owners to help them not do what she did. It’s all in the framing.
    And at least with her new business she isn’t selling any digital products. People can show up to her events or not and that is on them. It seems like a much safer business model. Though as someone who was raised Southern Baptist right here in Dallas-Ft. Worth, I don’t agree with the message she is selling. But at least she is actually present to her customers.

    It's just crazy because I was sued at the age of 22, right as I purchased my first car and got my first big-girl job. I had no college education, and the lawsuit could have ruined my life. I had been involved in a car accident and the other vehicle was suing me for 100-200k, legal fees, a new car seat, and a new phone. It could have ruined my life, as a young person. Yes, I was an adult, and I understood that, but it was an ACCIDENT that even my insurance company refused to assign blame. THIS RIGHT HERE is something happening to her because of the continued and conscious choice to accept money from people, knowing full well that she could not fulfill those requests. She WAS Dumb and continues to be so by blaming everything but herself.

    Again, I don't believe she paid non customers bc they forged receipts. If you are a customer of anything your number or name or address or email /email from PayPal or even an ID given to you from the company itself is on a file on a computer or some sort of software where all the info is saved. Even a phone. So it should/could have been easy for her to find out if that person who she allegedly paid for a customized program she would have known that was a lie, that person was lying. I do not believe for 1 second that she paid out money for people who never recieved her digital goods. Lies lies lies. This video of her and her husband is frustrating me to the hundredth degree.
