Well once again Ken you took an old man on a nice walk, that I couldn't do, I've heard of these beaches all my life and never would have been able to see them on my own or in my lifetime. So thank you for taking me along again on another great adventure, I sincerly hope you know how much this means to seniors like me. Bless you for that and sharing.
I really appreciate it Ellis 😎
Me too, thanks,I never have been able to travel.
Agreed 100%. I usually go visit these places every summer and can’t due to COVID since I’m high risk. We’re loving seeing our fun places we’ve visited for years. It feels like being there with Ken.
My grandmother lived there for 40 years....walked that pier everyday
This is the pier my dad used to bring us too fish when we were kids in the 70's and 80's. We'd be there at the dusk of dawn till and help my dad by cleaning and preparing his fish he caught. Always come home with a huge bucket of fresh fish. Mom would then freeze the fish and give some to the neighbors. Then we'd have a delicious Fish meal that evening. Thanks for bringing back so many memories of Redondo Beach and the Pier.
I love how Action Kid gives us a history lesson!
I try to talk about a little bit of history when it’s needed
@@ActionKid Thank You and hope you are having a good time in LA. I like to go to the MOCA in DT LA and they have a food court. The garment district is way cool on weekends! - We usually take the Metrolink from Oceanside to LA Union station. From there, you can hop the LA Metro and it's included on you ticket Sat & Sun. $10 R-T!
@@ActionKid If you have the time, heck out Olvera St.It's near LA Union station. I like the Central Library and Pershing SQ.
@@ActionKid
In case you don't know the Metro buses are free to ride because of Covid. Enter at the rear doors. If a particular driver says anything just say you are from out of town. You do need to tap to ride Metro trains and subways because you have to go through the turnstile.
Redondo Beach Pier is gets crowded on the weekends! Their fish is superb!! They also have a great boat ride which takes you out into the ocean where you can see Sea Lions!! 🐳🐠🐟
Great scenary!! 👍
Beautiful walkthrough of Redondo Beach ⛱ Looks so cozy.
Nice pier and palmtrees. Love the boats.
Thank you for take us with us. So beautiful place, amazing views, Have a happy day.💖
El Torito is so good was my spot back in the day ..plus can get a nice table over the water with a nice view
Great to know!
Redondo Beach is where many of the athletes live so the Action Kid is keeping an 👁 out for LeBron on his 🚶♂️.
I didn’t see LeBron there but good to know
Watch out for Denis Rodman! lol He used to be neighbors with my friend!
@@jaminova_1969 now THAT would have to be an adventure all on its own. There will never be another Rodman!!
Great job, Ken. This is my go to place for great seafood platters, beautiful scenery and people watching!
This is a cute area.
Another fabulous walk to a place I have not been to myself. I love your walks and the information you share. Thank you.
Great video here AS ALWAYS, Sir!! If you have a spare moment (it seems like you have a lot of plans,) but a trip to Point Vicente Park and Lighthouse is always a beautiful and interesting excursion while in the L.A. area. It's in Rancho Palos Verdes and the location is absolutely GORGEOUS! The second Saturday of each month the lighthouse is open to visitors, the rest of the time the museum and park with its incredible ocean views is available.
Hiya AK! I wish I could have attended your live premiere, but here I am, one of the replay crew. 😅
Oh, this area is just so gorgeous. I could hear the sea lions yelping. So cool. Redondo beach is gorgeous! So different from back here right? Enjoy yourself. Thankyou for taking us all around with you.
I had the clam strips platter at the Portside cafe just last month! They were delicious and at a good price!
Nice to see Tony's On The Pier (Old Tony's) is still there! Great for seafood and cocktails on the pier. Was there over 10 years ago and have 2 of their collectable glasses. 😸
It sounds like an awesome place
@@ActionKid It is nice at night with the view. Delicious seafood and they have entertainment too. When you order a Mai Tai you keep the glass with a sketch of Tony's "shack" on it. You can get an alcohol - free drink in it too.
Great exploring AK ☀️😎
Enjoy your time in LA..
Be safe my friend, Los Angeles is 201 square miles larger than New York City.
Much larger!
LA is the Second largest city in the United States with a population over 4 million under NYC's 8 million population and by-passing Chicago's 3 million population
@@ActionKid LA is much larger in population too, but it’s more spread out, nyc gets its high number because it goes by ppl per square mile, if everyone in LA was living close to eachother like nyc the population would be double NYC
@@tntmaster1104 second ? What’s the largest state ?
@@ericllorens1734 new yorkers have bad breath, rotting teeth and seek of B.O. and bad reefer,(and that's just the ' females' )
I just found this in my recommendations and I have a friend living there. I love learning about where he lives. I am subscribed.
Love Redondo, Santa Monica next-good job👍
ActionKid, thank you for walking in Redondo Beach it was very enjoyable!
Thank you for these walks/streams, ActionKid!👍👋🌞
Nice and Cool!🌞🌊🏄♂️ GODSPEED AKid...
An incredible trip! Totally enjoyed it 100%! 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Had to leave the stream but watched the replay , nothing better than the beach , thank you so much for sharing 😊
Great video content!!! Absolutely enjoyed your walking tours with such detailed narrative! GREAT JOB!! Have loads of fun in sunny California:)) Please take care, be safe. KEEP SHINING!!!
My second city that I call home, my first is burbank
Kenneth, you could come to Galveston, Texas next year and walk the historic Strand
Virtual traveling is one of the coolest things on RUclips,Beautiful walkthrough of Redondo Beach and I'm always glad to encounter one of your new trips. It's so nice to travel in this way and keep connected for waiting new video in your channel.
Greetings New friend from Bali island Indonesia
AK should do a bike ride along the strand!
It could be an idea!
I know! The Marvin Braude bike trail, 22 miles from Redondo Beach, around Marina del Rey, to _nearly_ Sunset Blvd in Malibu. Arriving at Venice Beach, Santa Monica and Malibu around the "golden hour," the same as the time he was in Santa Monica the other day. That would be breathtaking. I looked up that sunset after he stopped in the mall, and it was unbelievable.
Thank you for the history of the cities. I live in Orange County south of LA county. I’m from Brooklyn, NY but love Cali.
My husband likes to fish on Redondo Beach Pier....and afterwards he always goes to Hot Dog on a Stick for lunch!! Also El Torito has really good Mexican food!! And the reason a lot of the shops, etc. are closed is because you are there early on a Monday!
Mr. Hand-gesture probably does that a lot. Don't take it personally!
Next check out San Diego - Coronado, La Jolla, Solana Beach, Del Mar, Carlsbad, Oceanside... nice areas to visit.
Coronado Island is the best place to go
Just think 3's Company!
I love how AK knows when to get out of New York. He went to Florida at the time when assaults on Asians was at its peak in New York. Now the big city is having major flooding and water damage that is literally destroying the subway transportation system. Now Action Kid has escaped to Los Angeles and avoided the devastation of the place he calls home. Smart move. I can see how difficult it would be to travel throughout the city and take videos in all of that water.
I didn’t plan it that way, it just happened that these external events occurred during my trips elsewhere.
I would like it if we all looked out for one another and respected each others culture, ethnicities, and differences. They way America used to be!
Another awesome tour thank you! Re the restaurant there may be a 25 or 50% capacity mandate Re Covid right now.
Hey AK ur in SoCal!"Enjoy your stay
If you want to see something really unique get over to Beverly Hills/Bel Air and walk around the streets where the movie stars homes are. You won't believe your eyes. Bel Air is gated but Beverly Hills is accessible.
I seriously think that you have super powers AK!! You are in NYC one day and then in LA the next. What’s your secret, do you travel through portals or something 😂
I wish I had super powers
phew York State...phew york shitty....shitttiest weather imaginable...upstate phew york? Cloudy....dreary, depressing, chilly, dull...(and this is in the , lol, lol, ahem) 'summer'
That was cool! You chatted live during a previously recorded video?
Yes, during premieres you’re able to do that.
Dude goto Venice, Fairfax, Olvera Street, the Santee alley
I’ll have to take a look!
Santee Alley in Downtown L.A. is definitely an "Interesting" place. It's in the heart of Los Angeles' garment district, full of clothing wholesalers...it's absolutely filthy and the uninvited fake Rolex peddlers get a bit annoying after a while. Olvera Street is definitely worth a trip...it's where Los Angeles all started...the "Birthplace" of Los Angeles if you will.
Beachburbs. that bike path is 80 miles long kid
Thank you for taking us in your journeys with you.. We are able to travel and see things we have heard about but would never see if it werent for you!! Praying for your safety always and tons if blessings for your kindness. Added bonus the history you give is amazing. I have even used some of your stuff to help teach history in my homeschool. You are just a awesome young man and walking wealth of knowledge. Thank you again. Be safe blessed and have a WONDERFUL time on your adventure!! Your friends in NC
😁👍
I worked in Redondo Beach
Go on the beach . Dip your feet in the water .
funny how The Strand bike path cuts through the parking lot
1030AM on a Monday morning. Why are you surprised that stuff is closed? Come on, man.
visit california with ak nice walk thank you
Nice job I live in San Clemente down so about 60 miles. Check it out.
How about seal beach, or sunset beach near surfside.....love it
I lived there for about 9 or 10 years. That is a nice beach to walk along. Pier, down past T street and Calafia. Not built up like the area in this video.
Do a Video of Baldwin hills, the Black Beverly Hills and the whole Crenshaw district, by the way the best tacos are on Obama and king blvd
Looked totally dead on the street there. The few people trying to stay out of the sun.
Are you going to go to PINKS HOT DOGS?
any pancakes?
Hmmm I rather see the ocean than a dirty parkkinglot😱
OMG just look at that flawless blue sky!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! Sorry, I'm from new york state, upstate, (unfortunately)..
It is July 14th, 2021...and it has been dull, dreary, cloudy, GRAY, depressing....for 14 STRAIGHT DAYS! in the heart of summer, the heart of summer, in this God forsaken pit of gloom and torrential rain...and ugly clouds, and uglyness....the HELL that is upstate new york...NIGHTMARISH winters.....nightmarish.....then we wait for summer...lol....and it's a joke, a JOKE, compared to California.....
Ken, maybe you could get a p-t job waiting while your in town? Ha-ha!
I know it's early, but where are the people? They do say that most people take their cars in CA!
where is your face mask 😱😉
Separate lanes for pedestrians! Learn something NYC.
😁👍
