We used to camp on the bluff just south of the opening first 3 minutes, that strip of beach to the pier has certainly changed since the 50s

If you look closely at the start just behind the board riders, there's a few dolphins. Redondo Beach is a beautiful part of the world . We have a beautiful beach also here in Copacabana N S W Australia .

I live 3.5 miles away from Redondo Beach . I think it is a sea Gull . Sea Gulls in California are so big .
