Hey everyone, thanks for watching. Considering the many watches available in this price range I was not able to consider all the watches so please leave comments down below about what you would buy with $2,000. Also, check out the new site and sign up for written content to be sent to you every week.
Three watch collection: Longines Hydroconquest - ceramic bezel range - I like the grey dial but would suggest the blue or black Orient Polaris GMT - great complication, beautiful, stylish G Shock - Mudman. G-9300-1 It will do everything for you
Just a recommendation Teddy, I have a really really small wrist struggling to buy proper short straps online. Have you got any good suggestions for (105mm-65mm) straps with different combinations of lug sizes? Thanks in advance.
I wish Zodiac would make a competitor to Longines Conquest. I'd buy that in a second. The zodiac killer is part of the draw, tbh. It's a unique story that ties to horology
Really appreciate you not taking endorsements to support brands. I feel like I can always get your honest opinion on a watch and on brands. Props to you!
I must add that Teddy’s an AD for so many watch brands that he can have the “luxury” of being honest. I find myself navigating for many, many (too many) minutes on his website listing all the watches I’d like to purchase 💸
You’re the reason why I got a junghan max Bill Chronoscope a few months ago! Currently getting its plexiglass crystal replaced with a sapphire crystal. Keep it up Teddy!
What confuses me about the Longines Conquest is the black dial has "painted" hour markers and indexes and the silver and blue dials have "applied" according the Longines website. I've always assumed applied was better than painted? Am I missing something?
Glad to see Weiss Watches shown because they don't get mentioned often. I actually bought one recently and excited to see it shipped today. Not many companies are taking the extra mile to build a watch almost entirely in the US, with US parts, and even an in house movement with their American line.
Hi Teddy. I am new watch enthusiast. I really appreciate you not taking any sponsors. Maybe you have done this already but I am interested in everyday watches or perhaps you would call the beaters. Something that looks nice but if it gets scratched, there is no need to fret.
I though you would choose the Maurice Lacroix Aikon blue dial for the 1 watch persona, I'm very very tempted to buy it, it is such a great looking watch, and actually fairly versatile in my opinion.
Love your Chanel! Started out with Tissot visodate....and now I have 10 different watches. Just bought the Certina ds-1 big date special edition. Just can’t stop buying and collecting.
Good luck with the new venture. By the end of the year, the ~2100 three watch collection: Seiko SARG 009 (retail before discontinued) Seiko SPB 143 King Seiko 44-9990
I make leather watch bands by hand out of my shop in Texas. Each band is double stitched and knotted after each stitch. The leather is chosen under great scrutiny and the pieces are beautiful. I have also crafted a limited edition band with a visable sand hourglass contained within. I haven't sold one yet but if you would like more information, send me a DM.
Congratulation on your new site and focus. I enjoy your presentation and opinion and look forward to more of these as you climb the range to $5K & $10K budgets.
Hey Teddy, thanks for doing this. I liked your presentations. I just signed up for your newsletter too. I'm a relative noob so I'd like to know more about the watches you recommend that make them worthwhile. Some brand have a special feature, such as IWC's fast moving hands when changing time. It would be fun to see what proprietary features there are for certain brands. I think it would also be fun to watch an episode on watches that tend to increase in value over time and/or increase in interest/demand. Keep up the great work.
Nice categorisation of user profiles. Hey, what would you pick as an everyday versatile watch from below: 1. Certina DS day date powermatic80 2. Hamilton Khaki field king auto 3. Junghans FormC chronoscope 'quartz' 4. Seiko Prospex Alpinist 5. Seiko 5 sports auto 40mm (no dive bezel)
Thank you for giving Weiss a nod. He is making outstanding watches under the radar. Mine is in my regular rotation and is a knockout. Maybe I shouldn't thank you, maybe we should let him live in the shadows and crank out amazing timepieces for the few that follow.....
I bought one last month and was excited to see my Limited Edition American Issue shipped yesterday. It's taken a long time to save up enough but to support someone like Weiss who goes the extra mile with American parts it is worth it.
Hey, your voice is calming, thanks. I was kinda drunk and I can't sleep because my head hurts but your video calms me down haha Edit: I hope my watch is okay, I was wearing a classic casio calculator watch because I didn't want to destroy my other watches
Dude! I been watching you since you had only 100 subs and seeing the amount of progress you’ve made these last few years are damn amazing! Much love Teddy from NYC! I’ll def be buying a watch from you eventually, greatest wishes always!!
Wow, thanks for sticking with me all this time, that means a lot. It has been a crazy ride and I don't plan on stopping any time soon. Excited for what the years ahead hold. Stay safe and thanks for watching!
Teddy Baldassarre of course man! I love your videos! You’ve gone from watch pics to holding the watches in question for reviews, interviews with people, visits to Vacheron Constantin’s HQs and more! Looking forward to the new adventures man! Cheers once again!
@@soap.333 it is pretty amazing I have been watching too and its been insperationaly. I recently launched my own channel and I went from having no watches to review, to reviewing a used 600$ watch, and then reviewing a brand new 48,000 dollar Ulysee Nardin freak in two months time so I am pretty pleased with my channel lol Never through I would get to put that grail watch of mine on my wrist. Thanks for being an inspiration Teddy , keep grinding so you will continue to motivate me to grind as well.
Teddy! What a slam dunk! killing it as always. Love the site, with the new watches and the range carving out a little niche amongst the other offerings. Looks slick, best of luck. I'm gonna go browse now!
I'm digging the updated online store. I was wondering why the store had so few straps when I checked a few weeks ago, but I definitely wasn't expecting this. Big moves my man 💪. I might have to pick up a Junghans when I have a bit more money.
I was just watching the 1k video and was thinking you should Do a 2k and here I am. Just purchased a green cw Aquitaine and putting it on a reptile leather for a more dressy look. Yes I know it’s a diver and it doesn’t make true sense but on my 7.5 wrist it looks refined almost feminine . Change the strap for a tropic and it’s a sporty beach buddy. I want a more bulky metal bracelet diver in black but haven’t figured it out yet. Certina, Zodiac don’t know yet. Haven’t thought about the 3rd .Probably ditching chunky Pam
Wondering why we don't see Tag or Frederique on this kind of videos, don't you like them? I'm asking cuz this is the available brands in my country, Costa Rica
For that price I love my Christopher Ward Moon Glow or my Baume and Mercier Baumatic. Both can be dressed up or worn casual. Teddy you always kill it with your choices. Excellent for someone building a multi watch collection at that price point.
Great video. Lots of great choices. One thing I would say though, a lot of us guys have bigger wrists! You keep saying a 41mm will rule some people out! Some of those recommendations are smaller lug to lug than my dial size! Don't forget about us larger lads too please! My go to size is 43mm 😉
You missed my persona: collector by nation of origin. I have a Japanese, a Swiss (good luck!), a German, a French, an American, a Chinese and a Soviet. Definitely not under 2k but would be interested to see a breakdown by manufacturer origin. Throw the Italians in there if you want to call Panerai Italian, or Anonimo I guess. Also as a fellow Clevelander, I'm looking for brands that have a claim to a state. So like Hamilton (formerly), Ball (formerly), Shinola, etc. I might check out the one you said was from STL.
A great selection of eclectic and different watches. Lots to think about. I am a big fan of chronograph and dive watches, and I enjoyed your choices. The Longones Conquest Heritage is a very pretty watch, but a bit to small for my wrist. I did not know about it's style of crystal. MAny interesting chioces and reviews. I will sign up for your newsletter. I find you very knowledgeable about watches I have never heard of. Bravo!
Could u do a video for us big guys. 6'6" guys can't wear 38mm , it looks way too small on our wrist. Nothing but love for smaller frame guys, my grandfather was 5'5" and he was strong!
Could you do a piece on the heavily advertised "Affordable Luxury" dropwatch phenomenon with brands like Filippo Loreti, Daniel Wellington and Vincero being the most high profile? What is your take on brands like these and why?
These videos are a great idea. I don’t need to build a collection, but I still can’t not watch them. It’s “how can I play around with my collection?” Any subs, any cuts, any g league players I can bring up, should I splurge for a marquee player. No NBA yet, but this is scouting as a fantasy watch GM. Thx Teddy.
Nice video. Love that first Tissot. Not so much on that Glycine. No go on the Hamilton. Looks like a $15 Timex. Not so much on the Seiko diver. I like the Duro better than the Seiko. Picking collections is really hard. It’s sooo subjective.
I liked only 4 of the watches. Both Tissots, the Longines Conquest, and the Nomos. BTW why put a leather band on a 200 meter diver? Really curious what other people think. I’m sure it’ll be all over the place. Nice video.
I see a lot of brands put leather on divers , it is a good look sometimes, for instant the Rado Captain Cook. But if they are going to do that they should at least throw in a rubber strap as well so that you can use the watch like it is intended
Thank you for this informative, quality video. It contains concentrated knowledge on the subject. Please include the lugs width when presenting the watches. It is a vital infromation. I own only 20mm straps and I believe it is an added reason to aqcuire a piece. Thank you once again.
My collection comes in $380 over budget so I’ll hope you forgive me. First, I picked up an Oris Aquis Small second 43 mm on a black rubber strap for $600 from my brother. Next, I got an Oris Artilier Small Second Date for $450 on eBay. It was such a good deal I immediately took it to an AD who authenticated it. That watch retails for about $2200. Finally, I got a new Sinn 104 blue dial from the AD for $1330. So, in total, I’ve got $2,380 into what I think is a pretty versatile little collection. So yeah, it can be done.
Hey Teddy, great video. Completely agree on the longines conquest. Depending where someone lives, swatch group has their wholesale store hour passion, and they had some watches at 50%, for $600-800 for the conquest it’s a fantastic watch. Congratulations on the new website! 👍🤙 what about Rado?

Big fan of what you do Teddy and your thoughts and critiques of the industry, brands and particular watches are some of the most interesting and engaging out there - in some cases wayyy ahead of everyone else. But I don’t want anyone’s advice about how I should spend my money and this teacher/student style video is better suited to teaching us things we probably don’t know but would be fascinated by if presented well. And you’d be good at that. I know these are popular... but that’s not because you’re helping anyone add up to 2000!
You are wrong . Stowa is the original. Long before Nomos existed, Stowa produced watches with the bauhaus design. Nomos copied Stowa. Make some research.
I am currently looking for the 3rd watch to make my 3 watch collection in this price range (being a Brit, it's actually £2,000, so a little more). Currently have the Christopher Ward C60 Pro 600 in white/black and the Tissot Gentleman Powermatic Silicium in blue (brought to my attention by your review, thanks!). Any ideas what I should go for for the last watch? I'm looking for something sporty that's not a diver. I really like the Monta Atlas, but it is a little out of my price range, want to spend £500-£700 max if I can. Thanks Teddy, keep up the excellent videos :)
3 watch collection: Ball Engineer III Marvelight, Yema Rallygraf, Orient Kamasu. 1 watch collection: Omega Speedy Reduced =) and probably have room for a SARX045 or SDGM Brightz. Love the content! You're gonna kill it with the new website.
Perhaps my favorite TB video to date; bravo! Need a recommendation for a ladies strap. I want to convert the small B+M Hampton (salmon dial) to a ladies watch but need a strap color that compliments the dial. Any suggestions? Thanks
Christopher Ward is an amazing brand, I have their C60 Trident Chronograph Pro 600, or “Big Blue”, and man is that thing a powerhouse. The strongest watch I own and the quality and craftsmanship is just stunning, easily one of my favorites.
For the Duo Persona (which I kind of am myself), I would go for Longines Conquest Automatic and Tissot Seastar Powermatic. I already have the Tissot, I hope to get the Longines soon :)
Can you review the Sinn Finanzplatz-Uhr with its annual week calendar? It‘s an interesting complication and knowing the weeknumbers is still a very relevant skill in business.

“Zodiac makes a killer watch” - The Zodiac Killer
Haha unintended so I can’t take credit for that 😂
Pretty sure their top suspect (deceased so we'll never know) really did wear a Zodiac too.

Thanks Teddy, great content 👍.
Mido heritage baroncelli !!
Why no Junghans Max Bill? It's a perfect dress watch and it's the original instead of a Nomos lookalike like the Stowa you suggested.
You are wrong . Stowa is the original. Long before Nomos existed, Stowa produced watches with the bauhaus design. Nomos copied Stowa. Make some research.
Teddy: Persona 4
Me: PERSONA 4 HELL YEAH BEST GAME
Haha divers for life 😂

I bet Chie wears a Baby G.
@@TeddyBaldassarre Teddy missing the joke completely :')

Monta Ocean King under $2000 on a bracelet 1 watch collection
Doxa, Casio Duro, Certina, Glycine, Tissot, Longines, Seiko. All amazing recommendations and I'm proud to say a few are in my collection. Great vid.

When i hear One watch collection i say “seiko sarb seiko sarb seiko sarb”
What watch were you wearing in the video? It pops.
Picturing baseball-cap Teddy with his 104 in the wild west.
Simple buy one decent watch pre owned. Breitling, Sinn etc great value
For the Duo Persona (which I kind of am myself), I would go for Longines Conquest Automatic and Tissot Seastar Powermatic.
I already have the Tissot, I hope to get the Longines soon :)
Great video as always. Already signed up on the new website.
Can you review the Sinn Finanzplatz-Uhr with its annual week calendar? It‘s an interesting complication and knowing the weeknumbers is still a very relevant skill in business.
