Not one mention of watches being an investment, well done! Enjoyed as always
Good call!!
True! Refreshing.
I can't think of a watch worth a investment under $7000 right?
@@benjovic7498 You’re not allowed. If you do, turn in your watch enthusiast card because you’re obviously not a real watch collector. 🤣
my current 3 watch collection: BB58 925, GS Snowflake, Khaki Field Mechanical. Perfect trio.
Nice, i like those 3
Just completed _my_ perfect 4 watch collection this week:
- Breitling Navitimer A23322, blue dial, blue leather strap
- Rolex DateJust 16013, cream dial, green leather strap
- Omega Speedmaster Date, grey dial, bracelet
- Panerai PAM00914, brown leather strap
Hey Stacey. You've made great choices. Nice collection!
@@mikesmith6543
Thanks! :)
I think it's a pretty diverse 4 watch collection.
I agree with you. Well thought out, nice pieces. It'll be hard to keep it at 4. A black dial?
@@mikesmith6543
Well, the grey dial on the Speedmaster is pretty dark and the PAM00914 dial is black, so I think I'm good :)
EDIT
Speaking of keeping it at four, I might have cheated a little. My "perfect 4 watch collection" is like, my nicer watches. I do have a Tissot beater for holidays and the beach and such, and a Marathon Navigator for hiking/kayaking trips.
That's good.👍
The absence of Rolex is like a breath of fresh air.
Yes. So over their brand. Not even interested anymore.
But he did have a Rolex in the video - in chapter 2 One watch collection - the Rolex Explorer I
@@koolpep relative absence*
I mean...........you cant buy a DECENT rolex for 7,000$ let alone build a collection with a rolex in it. Nothing against rolex but their prices are way out out of line for what they are giving you.
Easy, a Seamaster with couple of extra straps. Job done. In a few years you might have again budget for a watch. Spend it all on the best you can get and like. Then some more years will pass. You'll end up with better watches from several periods, matching your progression through life. That's a proper collection.
The moment you restrict yourself with budget* to build a collection* you do not really understand what you yourself is looking for. There is no rush, find a watch you like and buy it. 20 years since I bought my first Seiko (the one for fifa 2002), it is still in my collection today with my Rolex, Tudor, JLC, Cartier, IWC, Casio in no specific order. Casio was actually the first watch I owned as a kid. I still have the two baby G but they were gifts, I did not spend my own money to buy.
My first luxury watch was the Omega Globemaster in blue! What a gem! I don't understand why it isn't as popular as it should be...
I just love that Teddy doesn’t do videos that talk about rich peoples collection with their Rolex, Patek, AP. He really thinks of the modern collector and so much brand variety. Who else tells you to collect a G-Shock? Keep rocking it Teddy!
I would love to see more breitling and tag heuer. Maybe review the aqua racer?
Just realized I haven’t subscribed to teddy until now
I love these videos. I tend to lean toward the formal look and was glad to see you featured the King Seiko (wonderful watch) and the Oris Rectangular (great alternative would be the Longines Dolce Vita). I really like the color choices for the Oris and the look is seriously "tank".
Love the look of the Frederique Constant. The round edge to the case gives it a look that's really similar to the IWC Portofino but clearly at a lower price point... and with the moonphase it is worth some serious consideration.
Some great choices here Teddy. I do love the Longines Master Calendar Chronograph, the 40mm wears so much smaller on the wrist than the measurements would indicate. It does take a little time to get your head round all the hands but once done is surprisingly easy to read. Incredible what you get for the money. I also love the Oris rectangle.
Is the tank making a comeback?
@@BariumCobaltNitrog3n I don't think the Tank ever left, I love them.
@@anthonystevens8683 Same here. There's some great variations of watches with corners as well like the Hamilton Ventura.
Excellent suggestions with a wide variety of choices from different manufacturers. Yes please continue these type of videos!
IMHO the perfect 7k watch collection contains:
1 x Omega Speedmaster Professional
5 x different Straps for the Moonwatch
1 x basic Casio G-Shock
Thanks for the video!
LOL
Right on!
Teddy can we get to see your SOTC'22
Thank you very much! Liked, subscribed and shared. My absolute favorite RUclips channel by far.
BB58 + Nomos Orion + GShock might be the perfect 3 watch collection under $5000
Really enjoy these videos, nice to see the combinations of good watches for a reasonable price 😀 👍
I love this series of video! Keep them coming.
Great video, I really enjoy every single one of them. One idea how to make them even better, at least in my opinion. Maybe put a picture of all the watches for a particular persona once you are done with it, it will give us a better overview. Just a simple picture with basic dimensions and price. Keep it up, really great videos.
King seiko looks nice 👍
Greetings from Malaysia !! Been following this series ever since !! Keep up the good work
Such a cool concept for a video! Thank you!
The Mido is a splendid alternative to the Certina at 39.5mm. I just bought the Ocean Star Tribute on the mesh bracelet. Most pleasing.
Really appreciate all the different watches. Must have been a ton of work. Thanks.
Your content is really good. Recording both short and long videos makes your channel more versatile. I really like it
A lot of thought went into this video, the personas categories was very interesting. Awesome work!
You have helped me and educated me so much!
Another great video. Lots of cool watches shown to look into.
100% agreed on that Globemaster. I love the “pie pan” shape of the dial, reminds me of the old Constellation
The Longines Master Calendar Chrono comes in 40 and 42mm. Regarding the calendar function, you still have to manually change the day and date on month's that end on the 30th. I would call it a day-date-month calendar rather than an annual.
All things aside, I love that piece and it's my first automatic watch. Thank you for featuring it on your channel and giving it the attention it deserves!
White Seamaster 4500, Stowa Flieger 1000, Grand Seiko quartz 1500
Love these videos! Thanks Teddy!
Thank you for this interesting senerio of collection possibilities.
Every time I watch your videos there's one thing that comes to my mind. Why aren't you Peter Parker
I've become a combination of a One-Watch Collector and Hipster. I am perfectly happy with my Baltic Aquascaphe GMT. Unless a Rolex GMT Master falls from the sky and drops in my lap, I am perfectly satisfied with this $1k GMT.
I used to say things like that
@@danielcanizales731 lmao 🙏

Damn nice watch that baltic
Christopher ward is one of my favorite brands.
IMHO, the brand ticks all the boxes at 1000-3000 € price range with their catalogue.
Love my C63 Sealander Elite. 😎
Tudor is still a safe choice. You can’t go wrong picking a Tudor.
The Farer Markham world timer is just an amazing and refreshing design with great specs. 👌
I was so impressed with the Christopher Ward Moonglow watching this video I just ordered one.
The Longines Master Chronograph is So SO SOO gorgeous!!! Ugh.. so pretty!
Awesome, Teddy. Thanks so much.
Many interesting watches that I haven't seen before. Refreshing.
Another fun list- thank you for the effort! And I like how the Marathon snuck onto the list. ;)
That Omega Globemaster is a beauty! Had a Seamaster 300, but the hockey puck case/bezel catches on everything and hangs on shirt sleeves so I sold it.
I love this series!
Absolutely spot on video, Teddy. Would love to see you add another persona though, a "Tool Watch Fanatic" kind. Someone who just loves rugged designs and watches that are meant for more than just wrist candy. Cheers.
Nice video Teddy! I would love to see a video that I have not seen in the watch community yet, about your top 5 or top 7 watches to survive during months or even years in a desert island. I think it would be very interesting. Thank you!
The Tudor and Omega.. Those are brands you’ll never regret purchasing.
Whenever a company says "PVD" and it's black, it means they cheaped out on doing a proper, tough DLC treatment. Great video; I think the personas are of limited value, but the smattering of watches shown is always good to see. 👍
I like the persona concept personally
Nice job, Teddy!
The Longines isn't an annual calendar. It doesn't correct for short months; you have to set the date at the end of every months with less than 31 days. It's also odd to compare it to a Patek, which, aside from being a Patek, is a perpetual calendar, which by itself puts it in an entirely different price point.
Was going to say the same thing, had to do a double take that I wasn’t misunderstanding. I was like wait I thought the Master Collection Chrono just had a complete calendar, not an annual. I know that the Master Collection does have an annual calendar reference, but not this exact chronograph calendar watch.
Yes and no… for the price difference can you really complain about a calendar reset once per month? A perpetual calendar is nothing more than a bit more math in development, but nothing to be blown away by. I understand your qualms but I believe it to be a fair comparison. Can you think of other quality calendar watches between each?
Not a dig btw I’m curious bc I can’t think of anything. I’m also a novice about this stuff though
Pretty much all of that is a non sequitur. What qualms? It was just a question of definition. That Longines is not an annual calendar; it doesn't do what an annual calendar does. An annual calendar costs thousands more than a standard calendar, a perpetual calendar costs multiples of an annual calendar, and a Patek, just by being Patek, costs an order of magnitude more than Longines, so yeah, it's $150k. He mixed several categories to make an outlandish comparison. The comparison is odd, not to say weird. What's "fair" about it?
7K is a tough range for multiple watches. Normally I'd be a 3 watch type person. For 7K i'd go
Diver: BB58
everyday: Oris Big crown pointer date
dress: Longines Flagship Heritage
* Might barely over 7K but it's within range.
That is exactly my watch collection at the moment. All amazing watches and I will take this combination over a 1 watch collection at this price.
@@davidgiegerich3028 It's what I would do with that cash. I have a BB58 but not the other two. I love my speedmaster too much to keep it at 7K lol.
No Aqua Terra for the one-watch collection?!
I agree. It would make a perfect one watch collection for those of us with moderate budgets. Blue sunburst dial :)
My two watch collection: Black Bay 58 and SBGA283.
Thank you for providing Chapters on your video.
For this price bracket I’d probably go Nomos Orion White 38, Hamilton Intra-Matic Chrono w/ blue and white dial, Seiko SPB143 and the Tissot Gentleman W/ blue dial.
Great review especially the 1068 on a 6.25” wrist. I have a 00051 on leather and at 40mm, COSC rated. Looks great on my 6.5” wrist. A bit thick though. Would love to see the Submersible at 40mm, 300wr, lower thickness of less than 13mm, lug to lug of less than 49mm and of course hacking. IMO, would like to see a yellow dial submersible similar to the Doxa 600T Divingstar
Looking forward to a $75,000 watch collection video
I have recently discovered your videos. Thank you for all the advices! What do you think about the Longines Master Calendar Chronograph in blue with blue leather?
Iwc mark 18 and a bb58, perfect 2 watch collection, covers all situations
Great video as usual! Every time I see the Zenith Defy I would run to the ad to buy it...if just Zenith had made a 38mm version!!! I really hope they will do it sooner or later. Thank you for your detailed work!
It's not an Annual calendar....it's a complete calendar ..love your videos.. best wishes from India🙏🙏
LOVED this video. I'm just getting into the watch world. What do you think of Tag Heuer Carrera watches.
I have a Ball Fireman Enterprise which I bought from you and absolutely love it. Definitely overlooked for 1000 bucks.
I have the longines master collection, it’s absolutely top!
Good lookin' on the SPB115... didn't know about that black enamel. It's cool when you include new and different watches instead of the ones you've praised many times in your other vids.
I love the Speedmaster ‘57 Broad Arrow for the single piece at $7k. The Zentih & GS ShunBun would also be on my shortlist.
I love these videos, BUT I think you forgot the 60 different G-Shocks collection.
Some brilliant watches in this. I've toyed with the idea of swapping out my Longines 1945 for Longines Sector...I just feel the 1945 should have been a touch smaller than it is. The size of the Sector is better.
My dream collection at 7000--- Oris aquis red dial $2000 - $2500(market is crazy on them), aqua terra white dial $4000, Hamilton kahki $400, Seiko SKX $350 (always in my collection)
some may not like that selection but its perfect for me.
Top notch
I’m trying to become the perfect duo persona. By tool watch pick was the black bay pro and my dress will probably be a Nomos just not sure which one. My favorite is the Lange sector dial one from the 90s
Teddy been hitting the gym...lifting them big watches 💪
Bah, I recently grabbed the white dialed SMP300- but it's lug to lug is too big for my tiny dang wrists... I'm thinking about selling it for another piece that fits this list: The SBGA413. Your initial video on it a while back is what has made me interested in it at launch.
Love your videos but especially the ones like this. Now I know it doesn’t fit your model but I would love to hear your take on smart watches. For ex I bought an orient and broke the bezel insert. This was supposed to hold me over until I bought my big boy watch. Since it broke I caved and got an Apple Watch (stainless with the bracelet) until I can afford a carrier santos 🥵
My grail watch is the Nomos Autobahn Neomatik with the white dial but I'm still trying ( really , really hard ) to understand the sticker price .
Can share some insight on Anonimo? Especially the Florence, Italian era pieces? Thanks.
I am basically "The perfect duo" persona. Love my Nomos Tangente, starting to save for the Tudor Black Bay.
Nice video as always! Would love to see a similar video for $15k to $20k for the same personas!
Hey Teddy. I am curious as to how your collection personal collection looks.😅
That would be a cool video.
You forgot persona 8: the look at me show off. And one of the largest collectors of the modern world! Also Teddy can you redo all these lists with watches you dont sell? So there will be 2 of each list and video for each. 1 for only products you sell and are capable of getting. ( so these already done) and 2 every watch that are great and sometimes better them only ones you sell. Thank that would be great to see and give other options for
Great video, as ever. How about:
1. Tudor BB58 (Dive)
2. 9F model GS (Dress/smart)
3. Hamilton Khaki (Field/everyday)
4. Casio/G-Shock (Beater/sport)
Ps. There is NO such thing as a one watch collection!! A collection is more than one of something, surely! ;-)
I like to hunt down the limited edition version of a particular watch that I like. I'm getting the watch that I like but also I feel like I have something more exclusive or unique because it's that limited edition color or dial or whatever.
Teddy! Do you prefer the White or Black version of Longines Sector Dial?
Omega AquaTerra is easily the best 1-watch collection you can buy. It does everything super well at any angle you see it
Which after market bracelet did you get for the longines sector?
The Longines isn't an annual calendar, it's known as a triple calendar or a complete calendar. You have to change the date each month that ends on the 30th and of course February.
Yes - indeed. complete, triple or full calendar only - not annual and not perpetual.
OMG! Wanna get them asap he he
Teddy, ill need a video on building a collection with $700😅Thats a challenge even for u.
Does the one-watch persona basically require at least 100m of water resistance? I dailied a 3 ATM watch on a leather strap for over a year and didn’t wear any other watch during that time (hadn’t gotten into the habit of rotating through my watches at that time).
I think it probably depends on your lifestyle, to be honest. It's 100% reasonable to wear something splash resistant only if that fits your life. These days (at least in the summer) I tend to bike straight to the beach/lake from my office so... Personally I like the WR. When I lived in the mountains and went hiking after school instead, that wasn't a real concern.
@@DrewPflaumer agreed. I'm not an outdoors guy, but I walk Construction Sites as a part of my job. And beyond the job, when it rains in Miami, IT POURS. If I went for a one watch collection, it would definitely be 100m+, most likely on a bracelet, with viability to dress up when I have to meet Developers.
I see an Aqua Terra in my future. 😏
Like others have said, it depends on lifestyle, personally I’m not a big fan leather straps as I workout every day and I take my watches everywhere.
I’m in south Florida with a pool in my backyard, so…yeah. 100 meters WR is a must
The globemaster just doesn't look like a 7200 dollar watch..... Great stuff Teddy...been watching from your beginning... just dont really comment . Enjoy all your vids.
That FARER at @14:27 looks like the watch got measles
Cool
teddy lookin jacked in that suit
Tag Heuer Grand Carrera collection is fantastic for the 1 watch collection... speaking from experience :D
Hey Teddy, do you ship worldwide? What about customs?
Can you make a video on Grand Seiko GMT SBGN005? It is a luxury quartz watch which claims to have a service interval of 50 years.
For a one watch persona I would choose an Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 38mm saffron dial. It's got it all for an MSRP of 6,000 USD.
IMO the new King Seiko missed the mark with the lack of a bespoke movement as the originals always had.
Yes! I just bought the exact Aqua Terra, that Kevin bought in Teddy's $60k challenge. Absolutely love it.
He loves nomos i just had the plain white dials idk i guess for a dress watch but at the price idk
Can't agree with any "dress watch" that's 12mm thick. Really needs to slip under a cuff, which is generally 10mm or less. The Certina 200m dive watch you showed is thinner than the Seiko dress watch.
Hahaha I agree. Dress watches must be thin. Anything else would be a hybrid of sort. I’m not too much into dress watches but admire them from the sidelines.
can you review oceanica thresher dive watch
