      That story is particularly nonsense though because no trucker makes that stop.

    Rule of driving isolated roads. If you ever see a car stopped and it’s partially blocking the road. GTFO.
    Call the cops to help them, don’t ever get out of your car. People set up ambush points like that to rob or worse. Remember most people try to move their car to the side of the road in case of emergencies. If they didn’t, there’s a reason; don’t stick around to find out why

    • @sealyoness
      @sealyoness 17 дней назад +23

      My thought as well. A car in the middle of road, in the middle of nowhere, is a red flag. Calling the cops would be the second thing my late husband (and my uncle too, who also drove freight.) The first is to take a good look and try to get around it.

    • @ranchintime2207
      @ranchintime2207 15 дней назад +13

      Fr. I was plowing snow in a sketchy city, driving one of those big dump trucks, and a car swerved in front of me, stopping in the middle of the road, blocking me from going forward. I slammed on my brakes after kind of skidding, and sat there, hazards and strobes on. I thought he had popped a tire, had a mechanical issue, or there was an emergency. The guy gets out of his car and starts walking up to my truck furiously, holding something black in his hand. I did not know if it was a gun or a phone. Like bro it's 1am, -17°F, in the middle of a snowstorm with 30mph winds. I am NOT sticking around to find out. I'm a safe driver. I didn't hit anything, block any driveways, cars, or mailboxes, etc. There was NO reason for this guy to run up on my truck. I backed up and went down a side road. Bro followed me and laid on the horn until I got onto the main highway. I called my foreman and I guess a couple other of our company's drivers and operators got harassed too. A guy actually got a gun pulled on him and another one had a trash can thrown at his windshield. We were 28 hours in so I guess they thought we'd be easy pickings. Not even exaggerating, we got to 36 hours and had to call it quits since the county and city pulled all their highway departments off the roads due to conditions. That night taught me a lot about how malicious people are on the road💀. (Also municipal workers and first responders with CDLs are exempt from hours of service regulations, so I had to keep going or I'd lose my job)

    • @monsterhanna6691
      @monsterhanna6691 13 дней назад +2

      Yeah, but the guy? in the last story had every right to be concerned about if some kids were in danger. I'll admit just seeing some random clothes on the road is definitely unusual, but what if it wasn't a trap?

    • @jadend6978
      @jadend6978 13 дней назад +7

      @@monsterhanna6691 that’s why emergency professionals exist. And the clothing isn’t all that odd. But that’s as someone who lives in a rural area, where clothing falls out the back of trucks all the time. I’ve seen full arm chairs left in the middle of the highway that people just gave up on retrieving.
      Regardless of what you see before hand, my point still stands. Cars attempting to fully block the road are known for being a common entrapment method. If you want to risk your neck for what is likely a trap, that’s on you. But be well aware that it is likely a in situations like this.

This advice applies to situations like this as well. You can't help anyone if your dead, injured, or captured so best thing to do is call the police they are (hopefully) better trained and equipped to handle these situations.

      It got popularized more around 2017 or so, zoomers start to put emphasis on everything they say, so they overused it and now its like the word "like" so annoying. You can actually watch any vloggers, they say stuff like, I literally just woke up. I literally ate. I am just tired of it too. That and there is another annoying phrase. ngl (not gonna lie) what an annoying thing to say. Not gonna lie, I thought it was great! So when I hear this, I feel like asking, what kind of a person are you? Does that mean by default you lie over stupid stuff and now you have to say not gonna lie as if you are going out of character to make this statement lol English is my 4th language and I really learned it from scratch teaching myself when I got started watching movies with subtitles. I think these new phrases and words are just ruining the language.

    I have one, once, when I was hitchhiking across the country to get to the Alamo (someone hid my bike in the basement after stealing it), I got in the truck of an elderly women named Large Marge. She started telling a ghost story about the worst accident she’d ever seen, which was unsettling enough, but then, she got to the part of the story where the body was retrieved, and she said ‘it looked like this’, then made by far the scariest face I’ve EVER seen, it looked like the mascot from those old honeycomb cereal commercials sort of, but WAY worse. Needless to say I noped out of there at the next gas station.

    @iainronald4217 14 дней назад +3

    Fun fact: Long before I thought academia could be my future, I was told to become a trucker. I spent $2400 CAD on a trucking course but never finished it. The reason I bring this up is 2 things:
    1) Starting in the mid-2000s, laws were passed that made trips longer than 8 hours virtually impossible because not only do you have navigational software in your truck that can tell your boss that you're risking his business to be stupid and pull an all-nighter. But, they also REQUIRE entries in log books that have to match the navigational stats. And, by most state and provincial guidelines, you can't work more than 8 hours a day.
    2) Semis have 11-13 gears and 2 gearboxes. There's no way to push your foot to the gas and speed off in one of these vehicles. You've got to do precise timed shifts, and the first gearbox only gets you to about 60 km/hr, then you'd have to do the jump gear, and start on the second gearbox.
    3) These vehicles require 2-3 minutes to reload the breaks, hence why highways have signs warning truckers about upcoming red lights and why you rarely see truckers fully stop. They roll through in 2nd or 3rd gear. So, the idea of a trucker pulling off the highway for not just 1 but 2 stops in rapid succession, it makes me wonder...
    I don't like poking holes in stories, far from it. I like being creeped out as much as the next guy, but having lived in that world, these stories are at least partially fictionalized and really take me out of it.

    Those good ol' loud sound effects made me jump to high hell lol. Glad you put those on again. You've been missing that in your stories lately. Keep it up Mr Nightmare 👻

    I'm a truck driver, and I'm taking my 10-hour break at an eastern Pennsylvania rest area right now. I could watch this video all night long and never wake up. Regards, sir!

    For the first story it wouldn’t be that wild if someone ran out of gas or had a car problem and just started walking lol

    Please do one about scary experiences of doctors and nurses on their shifts 🙏. As a medical student, I am biased towards that haha

    Anybody else notice that a lot of the images in this video appear to be AI generated? The end video bit of the third story also seems like it could be AI, the symbols on the road don't quite make much sense.

    Trucker and Cabin in the Woods stories are the BEST!
    Truckers see the creepiest stuff!
    Thanks Mr. N ❤

    My guess is that the car in the 1st story had weed, not bodies. Body parts would have smelled bad.

    Ah, I love it when Mr. Nightmare drops new content prior to the end of my workday. It always gives me something to look forward to on the drive home. Unlike most things in life, Mr. Nightmare NEVER fails to deliver!
    Thanks Mr. N!
