Don’t play it safe. Buy the cheap watch, get the funky one, get one that doesn’t look good but can take punishment, get one that’s too delicate, get the one that really doesn’t go with anything, get a formal watch and wear it with jeans, buy the one you will regret buying. Then take the same energy and use it everywhere else.
@@drewsleyy3836 For me, I am not as sure that the Orient Bambino is ugly as much as a fatigued appearance. I value mine and find it to be be fun but think that its appeal has limitations. Though more expensive, an alternative at $945 is the Pitzmann First Edition, which is nicer than the Seiko SPB113. Unlike the Bambino, or at least Version 2, the hands are blued by heating and has an enamel dial. Definitely more expensive than the Bambino but even better value with a Sellita movement, but that dial and those hands scream intrigue.
My three watch collection: - Everyday: Longines Spirit Zulu Time (Black dial) - Sportier: Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch (Sapphire Sandwich) - Dress: Rolex Oyster Perpetual 41mm (Blue dial). I know this last one can seem a bit sportier too, but it looks damn good in a suit!
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on amzwatch 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.
My son wants to start a watch collection, so this is very helpful. His dress watch choice is the Sternglas Asthet White Dial, sports watch is the Seiko 5 GMT Orange Dial, but for a beater he wants the Laco Pilot Aachen, so all 3 for around $1400.
Just getting into collecting and really enjoying all of your videos that break down selections and categories over a price range. Seeing and learning what makes a watch an exception for its price range is motivating.
I do own a Marathon GSAR and a Seiko SARB035. I’d need to pick up a dress watch to round up the collection. I was considering Seiko Dolce. Mainly because of the value. Regardless of the budget I’d be putting around 50% on my daily driver. For some it would be a sports or a dress watch. It just depends on what you like and what you do for living. And splitting the remaining money between the other two watches.
Great video. My three watch collection in the order I’ve purchased: 1) Rolex Submariner (black) 2) IWC Pilot Chrono 43mm (blue) 3) Rolex Daytona (white) May swap in something from Omega for the Submariner…..time will tell.
My 3 watch collection 1) 116610ln Submariner 2) Datejust41 Azzurro blue dial 3) Santos de Cartier Large 2 tone All three pieces are very versatile, the Santos is probably the most versatile of the 3.
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the amzwatch, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
Some great choices here! If I were going to build my dream 3 watch collection with no budget it'd be the Greubel Forsey Balancier S (sports), the Credor Eichi (dress watch), and an Omega Planet Ocean ("beater").
This is great. I entered this viewing having tried the Seiko 5 GMT, wanting to buy the Casioak and saving for the Mido Ocean Star. And then I see you showing all of them. I wish I had more money 😞
Question and maybe I'm missing something. Before going into the 1k list you mention the khaki field mechanical but the video is of the automatic. I didn't see that design in mechanical on Hamilton's website. Am I missing something?
Great video, very accurate analysis. In my 4.5 years in the game as a watch collector and enthusiast, I collected a lot from amzwatch I was thinking I was able to get a blue SD but I'm not vip enough, but I'm not giving up. Hehe. Great video.
I have "Two collections" Three watches under $500 1) Orient Kanno 2) Orient Defender 3) Orient Open Heart I love orient watches to death. These watches are amazing for the price. The longer I have them, the less I wear my "real" collection.... Two Watches under $10,000 1) Tank Cartier 2) Sea Master Diver
At right about $1500, I have a three watch collection that I absolutely LOVE. All Steinharts (I know you can't sell them as they are mfg-direct, so you never mention them). Amazing quality for the price. Hell, at ANY price. My everyday beater is the Steiny Ocean GMT OLKO Special Edition homage of the Rolex 1655. My dive watch (I do dive) is an Ocean 39 Black Ceramic, and my dressier watch is the Steinhart Ocean 39 Adventure Classic. GREAT watches, all. On the rare occassion I need to get even dressier, I have a Tissot V8 Chronograph on a black alligator strap. 😎👍
I don't use the term 'beater', I prefer 'weekend watch'. I have two 'nice' watches I wear during the week and my Casio Duro as my beater/weekend watch that I'll wear on a weekend if I go out of the house and I don't mind particularly if it gets knocked, although I'd prefer not too of course. A nicer way to categorise what you're describing 😊
I bought this popular video watch from NKUWAN , which was originally priced at a few thousand dollars, but now it's only $380! It's really suitable to pick up feces!
I am new to watch collecting, and have pretty well decided on my primary three. My choices reflect my taste, or lack thereof, as an engr. The beater is the Invicta Pro Diver. It's on the way, a Christmas gift from my oldest daughter. I put her on a $48 Amazon deal. The dresser is the Grand Seika Snowflake. I am presently looking for a deal on that. And the geek option that will see the least wear is the Niwa Lunokhod. I have that on order from their second batch, due for delivery by April. I already have a couple of decent quartz watches, but I will never buy another battery powered watch in the future.
I'm looking at getting myself an orient kano as my boating watch, a Seiko presage auto white dial as my dress watch, and a casio gshock casioak red as my beater, think that's a decent starter 3 watch set
Nice choices, but unlimited budget choices left me wondering… 1. Patek Philippe 5270 perpetual calendar chronograph white gold with salmon dial 2. Lange Odysseus steel with blue dial 3. MB & F Perpetual Evo
Great job as always. Minor point of contention: question the upper end selections that we mortals w/o connections can’t buy. If you’re implying grey market purchases then you should state that and show those prices.
Nope I'd never be able to tick all my boxes with just three watches - too many watches and styles I like ... I'd always want just one more watch. I've got about 10 sub $600 watches on my immediate desire list right now.
Great video, Teddy! 1. Junghans MaxBill date with white dial for dress watch 2. Omega Seamaster Diver 300 blue or Tudor Pelagos 39mm for Sports or Tudor Diet Pepsi GMT 3. Hamilton Khaki Field titanium 38mm green dial for beater
I didn't want to pay more than $500 per watch for my three watch watch collection. I got a Hamilton khaki king day/date on a ColaReb strap, a Junghans Max Bill, and a Lorier Neptune SIII. I'm very happy with them. This channel was very helpful in making my selections, so thanks for that!
Great taste. I love the Junghans Max Bill / Meister. Khaki field always pops in my mind as a nice watch. I didn't know the Lorier, but it looks amazing. Reminds me a bit of Oris Diver 65. Great collection. Enjoy.
If I were to have a 3 watch collection, it would include: 1. JLC Master Ultra Thin Moon 2. Longines Spirit Zulu Time 3. Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra (41mm) but I just know there's no way i'm having a 3 watch collection haha
Hello! I have N° 2 & N° 3 from you list: Longines Spirit Zulu Time with anthracite dial and green bezel on metal stripe, and Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Caliber 8500, 41 mm, with blue dial on metal stripe. I'm ultra happy and proud wearing them as I can be 😊🥳💯‼️‼️‼️
I truly appreciate the way you analyse a watch collection. You always find new "good ideas" for us. from 500 $ per watch to 50 000 $ per watch it is perfect. Thank you so much.
I just bought the exact Cartier tank you mentioned, except it was the smaller version because it was a wedding gift for my wife who I married this past weekend. She cried when she opened the box. It was her first high-value watch. I'm so glad this timepiece will be part of our family and passed down over time. It's great to see you feature this watch here. I also did an unboxing on my page if anyone is interested!
Literally everyone buys a Rolex just for the sake of buying a Rolex. To pay the Rolex tax is the entire point of getting one, to have something that most people wouldn’t bother buying, the very definition of a luxury product, it separates you from the… rest.
I got my 5 watches collection under $1000: hamilton khaki field mechanical for field watch, seiko 5 snkl41 for dress watch, homage seagull 1963 for fun chrono watch, vostok amphibia for dive/sport watch, and of course a casio digital watch for work.
Nice, I love this combination. but which would you classify as a dress watch amongst them.. the PRX? Or should I assume that you are more casual oriented?
I want to build a 3 watch collection. This are my top pick, i already got the BB58. 1. Tudor Black Bay 58 (Black) 2. Omega Speedmaster Professional 3861 Sapphire 3. Cartier Santos Large
Three watch collection with unlimited budget: 1.) Vacheron Constantin Fiftysix Compete Calendar 2.) F.P.Journe Automatique Lune Havana 3.) A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 moon phase
Great content Teddy. I used to wear a Timex Ironman for my beater but just changed to a Hamilton Khaki scuba. I got that on a bracket but swapped it for a Nato strap. I’ve a dress watch which is a Citizen eco drive which I’ve had for 8 yrs and not missed a beat. Recently purchased an Omega Railmaster( Seamaster co axil master chrono…yes that long winded title for a watch) on a nylon strap and am blown away with the quality. Being brushed stainless it doesn’t attract attention & I can wear where & when I want in UK. At moment in London and other cities the criminal elements have sussed what to look for in watches & robberies are common. Keep up the great work
just stumbled on your channel.. really great joices all over.. would probabyl go for a blancpain or jlc over the cartier in the 25k bracket.. but you ultimately won chosing an Aquatimer as the unlimited "beater" .. perfect choice really..
Yema Superman Quartz (500), Tissot PRX (300), Omega seamaster Aquaterra Quartz. (1400) Preowned (never take the first hit) A 2200 collection. Do you have Rolex feelings? Go for Steinhart. Ocean 1 (400) and adventure (490 new). These are hommages yes. But they put Rolex to shame with the very high quality. That is a 5 watch collection for just a bit over 3000. Leaves some money for a cool watchbox too.
I have to say that the Longines Dolce Vita is a great dress watch with the sector dial and even has a date that blends well into the dial. The Seamaster 300M is another start performer. I have seen and do like the Ranger as for what you are getting for the price with the MT5402 chronometer movement is very good, I could be tempted at some point. Some watches that could be options in a few categories could be the Tudor BB 36 black dial and one of my favourites the Omega Constellation Globemeaster.
+100 for mentioning Czapek. The Antarctique would be a grail watch for me and when I say "grail", I mean it in its original sense of "dreamed of but unattainable".
I have an under $100 collection. Formal: timex fairfield 37 mm white dial Every day: casio mtp v005 blue dial Sport: casio w217h I doubt any can beat the value for money of this collection. Note: when I have more than 5 grands of savings, I change my car (10 thousand is a new car in my country). I can't believe the amount of money rich people waste in toys. The worst case are the J&Co. Those are really unwearable music boxes, just toys my little kid would like to play with. And just one of them cost ten times my house. It's crazy
Ohh, and sorry if my comment sound like a rant, it was not my intention. I love watches and I love this channel. Specially because here the watches are considered by their true value (no wonder why there are not much reviews of J&Co astronomia here). But people paying twice the retail price of a rolex, just because it is a rolex, when Teddy is constatly showing lower cost alternatives, I don't understand it.
Love these scenario videos, very fun thought exercises and way to consider collecting. For me, I think a G-Shock would end up in the casual/beater category in each tier, just moving up the G-Shock tier each time. To end with a $4k + MR-G as a “daily beater” is quite the thought.
My $1,000 collection--- 1. Dress -- Seiko "Tank" $175 2. Everyday -- Vario 1918 Trench watch in brass ($400) with a brass shrapnel guard ($100) and cordovan leather NATO strap ($100) -- $600 3. Beater -- Casioak solar $150
I picked three sets of 3 from my collection and my GRAIL collection just for fun, what do y'all think? FIRST-Dress: Cartier Santos de Cartier white dial SS. Sport: Rolex SD43 MkII. Daily/Beater: Grand Seiko SBGA211 Snowflake. SECOND-Dress: Seiko SARB033 on Uncle President SS. Sport: Tudor BB58 Blue. Daily/Beater: Sinn 104 st sa g. THIRD- Dress: Ball Engineer II Ohio GMT silver dial on brown leather. Sport: OG Speedy hesalite. Daily/beater: G-Shock GWM5600-1. GRAIL: Dress: Patek 3950P. Sports: VC Overseas Dual Time 7900V/110A. Daily/beater: Rolex Daytona YG Anniversary Green dial 116508.

👏👏👏
Did this but with cars
Of course that damned Bambino ! 😂
Can never leave it out... Damn great watch😂
I just…i know it’s “good value” but…it’s so ugly 😭

It is a classic ⌚.
I like how it has some finesse but is not pretentious.
I picked up a white-dial, silver indices Bambino Gen 2 v1 for about $125 new off of Amazon. Phenomenal deal
Alternate option: take watchs from other family members 😂
My three watch collection:
- Everyday: Longines Spirit Zulu Time (Black dial)
- Sportier: Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch (Sapphire Sandwich)
- Dress: Rolex Oyster Perpetual 41mm (Blue dial).
I know this last one can seem a bit sportier too, but it looks damn good in a suit!
Moonwatch is my daily (Hesalite).

Rolex Explorer 39mm, Tudor BB58 blue, Rolex DJ41 white fluted jubilee!
Totally possible to have a nice collection under 300, Orient Bambino + Vostok Amphibian/Komandirskie + Gshock 5600

May swap in something from Omega for the Submariner…..time will tell.
My 3 watches would be:
1. Longines Conquest divers $800 everyday watch
2. Cartier Tank dress watch
3. AP Royal Oak in yellow gold - luxury watch
I like the watch I got from amzwatch. That rubber strap combo looks really cool! Been wearing it since last year and love every minute of it.
My 3 watch collection
1) 116610ln Submariner
2) Datejust41 Azzurro blue dial
3) Santos de Cartier Large 2 tone
All three pieces are very versatile, the Santos is probably the most versatile of the 3.

Here’s my 3:
Rolex Explorer 36
Omega speedy pro hesalite
Omega SM white dial on rubber

Reverso, Sub, Navitimer… dress, dive, chrono AND that’s my version of land, sea, air
Ive got a duro and it's fantastic. I put a jubilee style bracelet on it, and it looks like a Rolex "batgirl" for $85...
I have "Two collections"
Three watches under $500
1) Orient Kanno
2) Orient Defender
3) Orient Open Heart
I love orient watches to death. These watches are amazing for the price. The longer I have them, the less I wear my "real" collection....
Two Watches under $10,000
1) Tank Cartier
2) Sea Master Diver
Fun choices there. A 3-watch collection from my own collection: Dress - Dad's 1955 Rolex Oyster; Sports - Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean; Beater - Casio Royale.
Watches are so delicate and intricately designed, so I have intense respect and admiration for MAMACOO watch makers
At right about $1500, I have a three watch collection that I absolutely LOVE. All Steinharts (I know you can't sell them as they are mfg-direct, so you never mention them). I wish you would have done an under $500 watch collection category
You can maybe go for the mechanical hamilton khaki field instead of the gshock for the 2500$ collection.
I love these watch building series!
Another great clip Teddy, the Longines, SPEEDmaster and Ball suit me well 👏
Dress- oris Big Crown Roberto Clemente ltd ed.
Sport- Longines conquest 1/100 chrono
Beater- blacked out, negative display square G
I bought this popular video watch from NKUWAN , which was originally priced at a few thousand dollars, but now it's only $380! It's really suitable to pick up feces!
New to the watch game and looking to start right. In what use case would one wear a “beater” and when would you wear a “sport” watch?
that 25K+ category was missing the latest VC Overseas .. the SS/Blue dial MSRP is only $22500 technically, but the market is closer to $34K
Oris 65 and Ball fireman are now on the list with the later as my next purchase
I think the Tudor BB58 could replace the Omega Seamaster Diver 300m. That helium escape valve is such a turn off for a lot of people.
I'm looking at getting myself an orient kano as my boating watch, a Seiko presage auto white dial as my dress watch, and a casio gshock casioak red as my beater, think that's a decent starter 3 watch set
Nice choices, but unlimited budget choices left me wondering…
1. Patek Philippe 5270 perpetual calendar chronograph white gold with salmon dial
2. Lange Odysseus steel with blue dial
3. MB & F Perpetual Evo
I currently have a Tudor 1926 (dress) and Longines HydroConquest...just need to decide a 3rd option
Mine set:
Casual- gshock56xx, casio, skx, seiko solar prospex gold /blue/ black
Work- bb58, prx, seiko chrono I don’t know the model
I would go with Omega Seamaster, Rolex OP, and Breitling Superocean with a ~$15k retail budget. Can get at least 2 of these a lot cheaper than retail.
More interested in the selection of beaters in each price range.
Mine are the hamiliton jazz master tag aqua racer 300 and a rolex explorer 2
The CasiOak price is currently $380 not $200! It's double what you listed in the video!
The GM2100-1A, metal with silicone straps, is still 200. The full metal one is definitely not 200 tho.
silicone 200, ali express steel mod 100, total 300
$165 on Amazon today...
I rather choose the JLC Polaris for the last category and for a sports watch: the VC Overseas.
My choices will be based on the color green. So it will be the longines hydro conquest, jlc reverso tribute, and the g shock GM2100.
What category would a Cartier Santos (steel bracelet) be under? Sports watch? Dress watch? Casual or beater lol?
The Ball Enterprise is excellent, I had the Glory and it was pretty great but the date window was at 4:30 which I don't love.
Casio G-Shock
Seiko Dress Watch
Citizen Eco-Drive Chronograph
Pitzmann III Chronograph
Orient watches in my country are overly priced, Bambino goes for 365 dollars.
Is there a non-GMT version of that seiko?
Epic video Ted. Just got the seiko 5 orange. Looks epic
Finally have one, I bought my first Omega Seamaster last week
Beater... Shows the Tudor ranger :d
I would have taken the longine spirit zulu time, tudor black bay ceramic and the omega aqua terra for around 13k !
Would love a cheap version of this video. Starting at $300 and under. I felt like a million bucks when he mention Casio duro.
My trio:
Dress: JLC Master control calendar
Casual: Tissot PRX
Sports: years old Apple Watch 😅
Great video, Teddy!
1. Junghans MaxBill date with white dial for dress watch
2. Omega Seamaster Diver 300 blue or Tudor Pelagos 39mm for Sports or Tudor Diet Pepsi GMT
3. Hamilton Khaki Field titanium 38mm green dial for beater
Casio digital watch, seiko dress watch, seiko sports watch
I didn't want to pay more than $500 per watch for my three watch watch collection. I got a Hamilton khaki king day/date on a ColaReb strap, a Junghans Max Bill, and a Lorier Neptune SIII. I'm very happy with them. This channel was very helpful in making my selections, so thanks for that!
Great taste. I love the Junghans Max Bill / Meister. Khaki field always pops in my mind as a nice watch. I didn't know the Lorier, but it looks amazing. Reminds me a bit of Oris Diver 65. Great collection. Enjoy.
You got a Max Bill for under 500? Where?
1. Hamilton Khaki Murph 38
2. Omega Seamaster 300m Professional
3. Tissot PRX Powermatic 80
I like your channel. But none of us stops at three, lol...
If I were to have a 3 watch collection, it would include:
1. JLC Master Ultra Thin Moon
2. Longines Spirit Zulu Time
3. Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra (41mm)
but I just know there's no way i'm having a 3 watch collection haha
Hello!
I have N° 2 & N° 3 from you list: Longines Spirit Zulu Time with anthracite dial and green bezel on metal stripe, and Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Caliber 8500, 41 mm, with blue dial on metal stripe. I'm ultra happy and proud wearing them as I can be 😊🥳💯‼️‼️‼️
Your number one is a beautiful watch, it would also be in my top 3.
Congratulations, a great and thoughtful gift!
congratulations my friend, may you both live long and healthy lives together!
I’m late to this comment but congrats on the wedding! May all your ups and downs be between the sheets
You guys divorced yet?! 😂
Hi, guys has any one tried the Sternglass Hambrug 42mm automatik would like to know if it is worth buying
Happy to see Ball on the list! I recently picked up a Ball Fireman Victory and I love it. My favorite watch I own 😊
I have Seiko SNK809
Casio GA-110
Casio a-168
I think its not that bad and a good starter pack for different cases
My three: Omega Planet Ocean, Seiko 5 GMT and Seiko King Turtle. Love them all for different reasons. Keep up the good work Teddy.

My current 3 watch collection is Seiko 5 Pepsi, Full metal Steel Casioak and PRX Automatic Green dial
Nice, I love this combination. but which would you classify as a dress watch amongst them.. the PRX? Or should I assume that you are more casual oriented?
My 3 watch collection is
Dress: Seiko Presage SRPB77
Sport: Orient Kamasu II
Beater: G-Shock 5610u
I want to build a 3 watch collection. This are my top pick, i already got the BB58.
1. Tudor Black Bay 58 (Black)
2. Omega Speedmaster Professional 3861 Sapphire
3. Cartier Santos Large
Teddy cranks out a shocking amount of videos.
Three watch collection with unlimited budget:
1.) Vacheron Constantin Fiftysix Compete Calendar
2.) F.P.Journe Automatique Lune Havana
3.) A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 moon phase
My brain hurt when I saw 3 watch combos and 20 watches featured

I think a truly comprehensive collection requires a minimum of five watches:
1. Dressed up/formal
2. Dressed down/business
3. Everyday/casual
4. Sport/light contact
5. Work/rough contact
Excellent categories.
just stumbled on your channel.. really great joices all over.. would probabyl go for a blancpain or jlc over the cartier in the 25k bracket.. but you ultimately won chosing an Aquatimer as the unlimited "beater" .. perfect choice really..
I'll go with Black Seamaster Diver 300M, Blue Tissot PRX Powermatic and El Primero A386 as 3 watch collections
Yema Superman Quartz (500), Tissot PRX (300), Omega seamaster Aquaterra Quartz. (1400)
Preowned (never take the first hit)
A 2200 collection.
A beautiful alternative to Czapek is Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda
Para mim, a coleção perfeita seria: a) Cartier Tank; b) Rolex Submariner; e c) IWC Pilot Chronograph.
You made this for the last category right?
I love a 3 watch collection! I have 4 of them! 😂
Well done
@@yleexot It was meant more as a joke… 🤣
I have an under $100 collection.
Formal: timex fairfield 37 mm white dial
Every day: casio mtp v005 blue dial
Sport: casio w217h
I doubt any can beat the value for money of this collection.
My $1,000 collection---
1. Dress -- Seiko "Tank" $175
2. Everyday -- Vario 1918 Trench watch in brass ($400) with a brass shrapnel guard ($100) and cordovan leather NATO strap ($100) -- $600
3. Beater -- Casioak solar $150

Sports: Hamilton Khaki Field Auto
Beater: CasiOak ✌️
Love it! This is a great VALUE collection!

For me a three watch collection is dress , chronograph and diver
There is only one problem with Casio Duro for me to recommend. And that's its size as it doesn't fit everyone.
Wow. This was an amazing video! Loved how much thought went into choosing each watch for all categories. Bravo Teddy!
