    A complete shocking performance from Brookes I would say after being the highest scoring loser in the 1st round. But Broadbent did exceptionally well and almost carried the team. They were looking for a comeback but my gid what a performance from Davidson! He was so quick on the buzzer and was knowledgeable on the bonuses as well. The Captain of Open University is amazing as well and listens to her team very well. Hoped that Brookes would be in the semis after their performance in the 1st round but Open changed that.

    What a great way to close out the first round :) - that's our sixth game of the year with an aggregate of 400+. Strangely Oxford Brookes answered as many starters as their first game - their bonus rate wasn't quite as good as last time though. Warwick vs Trinity next week to begin what looks like a fiery bloodbath of a second round ❤‍🔥 - the way scores have fallen it will be far from the first stacked game we'll see over the next few weeks 😍.

    Thanks again, CosmicPumpkin! Once again, I played my pre-match game of picking who I thought would win, and once again, I was wrong. So, so wrong. This was a runaway, and I'm still scratching my head over the winning team's previous match loss. Were their opponents just that good? Or did they just improve from first to second match? With the right set of questions, this team can beat any other. The losing team never had a chance in this, and they were a very likeable team. My best to each team, and to each individual.

    • @gooscarguitar

      There has never been a rule about interrupting the question in bonuses

    • @jeff__w
      @jeff__w 9 месяцев назад +1

      There would be no point to disallowing interruptions in the bonus questions. The team answering the questions is not competing against the other team as they are in the starter questions (the penalty for wrong answers that interrupt is weighed against the advantage in buzzing in at the earliest possible moment) so whether they wait till the end of the question or interrupt it is entirely up to them.

    A KOALA IS NOT A BEAR and I cannot believe that Uni Challenge accepted the answer given (and then had the host confirm it). The koala is a marsupial. It's closest living relative is a wombat, which is also a marsupial and also not a bloody bear. For a show that's all about high-level intellectual rigour this is a massive error. Do better, UC.
