  • I made a vase out of two pieces of yew and filled the space between them with small dried pine cones, flowers and seed pods and poured them into the epoxy.
First I turned the yew pieces to size so that they fit in my mold, then I connected the two pieces with a waste block and poured the epoxy between them.
After pouring the epoxy, I vented the mold in a vacuum chamber and then let the epoxy harden
Once the epoxy had hardened, I mounted it on the lathe and turned it into a vase
I finished the vase with friction polish.
The vase has a diameter of 25 centimeters and is 24 centimeters high.
