    Nice one Mike. Only problem with fruit....the infernal splitting....I have some cherry here nearly spiral split into 2 pieces. What did you do with the split.....nice copper "staples" or stitching?

    Very nice vase Mike. Cherry is one of my favorite woods. Especially finished natural as you did. I expected you to fill the cracks with epoxy or something similar but apparently you left them open. Would you share your thoughts about that? Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂

    Hi, how did you measure the moisture content, and has the moisture content effected your choice of finishing to be an oil rather than a polish (maybe to keep it from drying lut further and cracking?). Thanks

    • @MikeWaldt
      @MikeWaldt  Год назад

      Hi Andrew ... I just use a moisture meter ... the decision to use oil was purely because I thought a less glossy finish would be better suited for this piece. Cheers. Mike

    Nice vase Mike. I haven’t turned much
    For a while
    But my next door neighbour gave me a nice similar bit of cherry last year so might try and do similar for a peice for him
    I see you decided not to fill the crack any reason for that ?

    • @MikeWaldt
