The grain in that wood is astounding. Turning a real piece of olive is on my bucket list. Hard to come by in the US except for little spindle blanks. Maybe a very small bowl blank here and there. Cheers!
The olive piece of wood is gorgeous it's got really nice grain and markings on the wood. The triple natural edge vase is absolutely stunning the finish you've used makes the wood shine, well done I really love it

Steve, you remain an artist that just keeps getting better and better. I enjoyed the added unplanned suspense of the bug running for his life between 13:23 and 14:28-disappearing just prior to the application of the torch ;-) Please, what was the side sanding drill attachment that you used? Wood turning without commentary is very uninteresting. You do great work but I might as well just fast forward to the completion of you project to see finished product.

Olive wood is beautiful wood. It is also hard and not the easiest wood to turn. You did a masterful job on this one. Mt hat is off to you

Never seen the purpose of burnt wood accents. To me it dose not look good.
