How to find out if you allergic to latex. I had a c-section and I was bandaged with latex tape. Within a few hours I had and awful break out around my incision. They had to go out and get fabric bandages to not only cover the incision but the rash surrounding it. They use an ointment to heal it. It was very sore. Now doctors’ offices, ERs and operating rooms don’t use latex at all in my area. Southeast United State.

@@Hope12Grace90 that is exactly how I described it to my daughter. That’s why I advised her to request an enema. The baby put pressure on your colon and if it’s empty no worries.

Mom guilt is society's fault... Since people expect moms to work like they have no kids and raise their kids like they don't work... I think guys (most) don't feel this way since society does not see dads as the main parent to raise the kids, so all that pressure is put on the Mom's shoulders... Shouldn't be like that, but it still happens... I've seen people praising dads for doing normal parenting stuff (like doctor appointments and stuff like that) as if they were doing and going beyond... So kudos to all those parents that are changing the "normal roles" and we should normalize for moms NOT to feel guilty for themselves (working, hobbies, just time for them..) since once the kids grow the mom will still be a person and if her world is 100% their kids, once they grow and leave to make their own live they will have nothing left...

Amen. My husband has always been a great involved father but when the kids were little he would get offered discounts and free stuff when he took the kids out without me. Like he was doing some great thing even though these same places would ask me where the kids were if I came in without any of them.

When I had my baby, I had a 4th degree laceration and going to the bathroom was very uncomfortable. I wish I knew that bleeding would take a while, I was bleeding for around 2 months (took so long!) and lastly, I wish I knew about postpartum depression. I was a single mum and had to work after 2 months and running back home to breastfeed my baby. It was never easy and I'm glad I got through the rough times. My son is now 4 years old and in his pre-school years. You also realised that after 6 months of your baby, they start growing so fast, and it makes you teary eyed.

As someone in their mid-twenties, married but no kids yet, both working 9 to 5s, my husband and I already have a hard time dealing with lack of time to finish everything we need to do. Commuting, making food, cleaning dishes, cleaning the house, washing laundry, taking care of landscaping, caring for the pets (just 2 cats), grocery shopping, etc., is time consuming in general but I know it’s immensely harder for moms, especially when they’re young bc the lack of sleep makes it worse. Moms should not feel guilty about struggling to balance time between their kids and work (including things like household tasks and errands). Even people with typical jobs and basic responsibilities struggle to find time to fit in everything they need to do. Thank you for such an insightful video. I know it will help a lot of new and expecting mothers ❤

    7) you know your baby best - don’t let others get to you w unsolicited advice, trust yourself

Hey Tina, been watching your vids for a while, I'm 5 months pregnant and not gonna lie, your pregnancy videos were a huge part of helping me feel ready because of all your helpful tips, complete transparency and I feel like I can relate to you and it was the confidence boost i needed. And now during the pregnancy, every time I've felt overwhelmed about something you post a video relating to it and I feel so much better, this vid came at the right time too, so thank you! Keep going, you are doing a great job mama ❤💪
P.S. My wedding make up was totally saved by your korean bridal make up video, my MU wasn't used to doing asian make up, I showed her your vid and she smashed it after 👍 always saved by ur vids haha. Thought i'd leave a message and let you know how much you've helped me and I'm sure many others. Me nodding at every point you've made 👏👏👏 thank you for highlighting not only the rollercoaster ride of parenthood but also the relationship aspects that very few people address. I went all full mumma bear mode after my LO was born and my husband had to call me out on it to realise that "the baby is first" did not justify how I should treat people. It's hard as you're in survival mode and sleep deprived, but he was right and we all need to just stop, breathe and be kind. Be kind to yourself and the people around you.
I would love an insight from Alfred's point of view what he wish he knew.
PS. You're doing us mummas proud 🙌❤️

Thank you for being so open and honest about everything, it feels like an older sister telling their little sister every thing she needs to know, although I am a 19 year old, I never knew any of this things. This is so helpful and important. I think two more critical things is do not compare yourself to other mothers and DO Not compare your baby to other babies, not even siblings. Another thing that is interesting and night help us understand ourselves is reading about how our brains change when we are taking care of a child or a baby.

I’ve had 2 kids myself through caesarean. Honestly no regrets even though it left me a scar. I tried natural birth for my first but unsuccessful as I couldn’t dilate after several induction pills and man the contractions were painful as hell. Watching your kids grow up and progress day by day is the best gift ever. Dun pressure yourself too much nobody’s perfect and you don’t have to be. Take in advice you think is helpful and shut out those that are trying to bring you down. Don’t compromise to look good in front of others. You need to feel good internally and you will naturally radiate. Go do whatever makes you happy and things will be much easier for you. Welcome to motherhood and embrace what may come ❤

The sleep deprivation was immensely difficult. Especially when we would had to drive to our baby’s appointment check up with barely any sleep. We literally almost got into 2 car accidents every time we left the house to the doctors. We didn’t have anyone to drive us there.. and yes I agree 🥺 Our relationship was SO rocky but it’s definitely better. Parents need to talk about these things with new / expecting parents. Side note: The Huckleberry App SAVED me the sanity. I couldn’t remember when baby ate or how long baby slept so it helped to track everything.

Hello Tina! I had my baby around the same time as you. Baby boy just turned 7 months on November 16. I understand and agree with everything you talked about in this video. Especially the mom guilt. I went back to work the same week my college started. Right after baby turned 4 months old. I’m taking 16 units, working, and taking care of a baby. 😓 My husband, like Alfred, doesn’t struggle with dad guilt. It’s good because he is able to just get things done without stressing. Sometimes, I get so stressed I end up sleeping. 😅 I wish more women told me how hard breastfeeding would be, and how hard pumping at work would be. I want quit almost every day, but that’s another thing I would feel guilty about. I’m very glad you are sharing your knowledge with other future mamas. Thank you, Tina. ❤️

One thing I wish I knew as a new mom was that it was ok to not exclusively breastfeed and that bottle feeding breast milk is just as ok. I was traumatized from breastfeeding for a couple of days because my son just wouldn't latch properly so I was constantly in pain and my nipples bled. Even after getting two lactation consultants to help me get him to latch and it didn't help. So that stress started to affect my milk supply and when we were discharged that night I panicked because he wasn't getting enough milk and was crying and I was crying...it was a hot mess. I had to formula feed him and give him what like breast milk i could pump so he could at least get something to eat. I had to reassure myself that I wasn't a bad mom and I would rather make sure my son is growing and eating rather than tie myself to exclusively breastfeed because society deemed it so. Because I allowed myself to alleviate my stressor my milk supply is coming back and my baby is growing. I do both formula and breast milk still and although he still doesn't latch to my breast (at this point he got accustomed to the bottle anyway because apparently I didn't use a slow stream nipple or something like that) we still bond in other ways and he's growing so I'm happy.

Something I'd want to see in your videos is whether the way you prepare yourself / do your make up has changed pre-pregnancy and after. Are there shortcuts that you're now taking to make yourself look presentable on your videos and going out. :)

Just had my third baby ...and yes a lot of things changed,my relationship with husband and the first two changed alot...i didn't had any time or proper time for my first two kids, they felt left out .. ofcourse their dad came at rescue but it was hard for me to be calm knowing I'm not providing enough for the first two....now things are getting better...he's 3 month now,n developed a sleep routine...so basically I do most of the things when he is sleeping... resting is not an option still 🤗but I m happy 😁

13 moths post partum and I feel like I could have said this all myself! (Minus the hemoroide thing....I didn't have that issue luckily). You are doing amazing with your baby girl!
The part that struck a cord with me is when you talk about how you ask your husband for things now when baby is crying - yeah, thats me to the core. When my girl is crying its like ...a sense of urgency.

I love co sleeping with my babies. I think it builds a stronger bond. Everyone is different and if you don't feel safe that's fair enough, but if you know you can do it safely and want to,no one should try to take that decision out of your hands, and make you feel bad about it. All of our babies have different needs and all you can do is to be the best mama and papa you can be. That's what's important 😊

i had to be induced because there were no signs of labour eventhough i’m already in the 40th week, and finally gave birth 27 hours after. it’s an understatement when people said the contractions felt like x10 worse of menstrual pain 😂😮‍💨 i had wanted to go drug-free but couldn’t take the pain so had to opt in for epidural eventually. they had to cut down there to make more space for the baby to come out.
first few weeks was the worst, with the perineal healing and lack of sleep and overwhelming with the knowledge as a new parent. im lucky to have my MIL take care of the baby during that period. you’re so accurate about relationship with hubby affected. i spoke like that to him eventhough i dont even do that pre-baby 🤣😭
my baby girl’s going 2 months now and all the sleepless nights were worth it. i just wished my mum was around to witness her first granddaughter growing up (she passed away a week before i was due) ❤

Thank you for being so open about it all. It seems a lot of it still isn't discussed enough.
Also, I thought the hair loss and feeling oversensitive was down to the huge hormone fluctuations & physical "shock" as well.
Here's a fun thing my mom found out btw that no one told her about, that food can influence breast milk in a big way. As a baby I kept crying a lot and they didn't know why until finally after almost a year the doctors figured it's because my mom ate spicy food at times and it upset my bowels as a baby. As soon as she stopped I stopped crying so much!

I love pictures of your whole family, including the dog. Has he been jealous of the baby? I think making this video will help new mom's, I think hearing these things from a "friend" (I know you're not my real friend but you share your life so I feel like I know you.) helps. Shea Whitney has a million commercials on RUclips for Vegamour. She started using it after having a baby. Many critics say it doesn't really work because the new growth was after post-partum hair loss. Mom guilt is partly hormonal. Your body knows it just had a baby.

I'm a beagle Mum, so not one for a human haha. I just wanted to say I love how real your discussions are esp as my partner and I are getting to the stage of deciding on whether to have kids. Last thing, I heard this quote off Headspace, "There's never a bad day, just a bad moment", so thought I'd add some positivity in the comments. From a fellow Aussie in the Netherlands x
