I waited 5 months to tell anyone I was pregnant. I didn’t want to be asked about it if I lost my first baby. I’m now 6 1/2 months pregnant and she is healthy❤️
I'm 41 and about 8 weeks in my first pregnancy. Thank you for talking about the anxiety of no symptoms. My best friend texts me everyday to ask how I'm feeling. I know she's just checking on me but it makes me feel like something is wrong because I'm not having symptoms. I'm already nervous enough being in my 40s. So glad I found this channel.
Almost 41 and 9 wks! First time too! Haven’t had sickness which has been awesome, have some mild cramping. Feel bloated a lot. Feeling pretty good though!! Congrats ladies! ❤
Ladies, I cannot tell you how happy I am seeing your messages! I am 39, 7 weeks pregnant with my first baby. Anyone having bad skin itching? 🤭🫶 Update in June: just got a notification from RUclips that someone liked my comment and I thought I’d make an update. Unfortunately, I had a miscarriage in April. PCOS and age don’t go very well together apparently. It was quite traumatic and glad to be alive. Hope you are all well, stay positive and enjoy every step.
Something that shocked me was the cramping! I have literally NEVER heard of cramping as being a symptom, and none of my friends have experienced that during their pregnancies. I have found comfort in reading about other women's experiences with cramping.
Im so glad that’s normal!! I’ve been having lots of cramps, and my husband started to worry me by saying he’s never heard of that and thought it was weird, but now i can tell him it is normal and we can both feel relieved. Thanks for sharing!
Yes mine felt like period pains. Neither did my mom or grandma ever experience that and they were worried but my nurse said it’s fine. It’s my uterus expanding.
From someone experiencing extreme nausea 24 hours a day started at week 5, to any of you lucky mamas with no symptoms.. count your blessings & be happy. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone 😭
@@littlecat5293 how far along are you? I’m at 8 weeks now & unfortunately it’s not getting better just yet. Just trying to keep the hope for a better second trimester. It’s going to be worth it ❤️
I’m around 6 weeks and I spent the whole last week home from work due to the nausea. I finally got a prescription yesterday from my doctor and it’s not completely better, but I think I’ll be mostly functional as a human again! Hopefully the second trimester is easier for both of us!!
I had also nausea like 22h per day. Sometimes mornings were ok. I am now week 12+ and luckily nausea mostly is gone. I think it started to ease around week 10 so there is hope to feel like a person again 😊
@@gottorox I’m 8 weeks today and first time mom, and this is my same fear. I had my first ultrasound on Monday of this week and saw babies little heart flickering.. I was a wreck lol… praying for you mama!!!
First time mom, 6 weeks pregnant! This video gave me so much comfort, I google everything even “hey google can I have hot sauce” and the anxiety of keeping this baby alive and hoping I’m doing everything right. It’s a lot, I’m so excited and so nervous, my first appointment can’t come soon enough! Thank you for alleviating so much of my nerves ♥️
same here! but I realised the more we google, the more we might feel anxiety, too many "don'ts" 😅 my gynae told me that it's just important to avoid alcohol & raw food, everything else is fine, as long as in moderation, so glad i can still drink my coffee! but I cut down on it a lot
Oh my gosh me too!! First pregnancy ever, 5 weeks. The nurse at my doctor appt where they confirmed my pregnancy, she told me not to worry so much. I already have some mental health stuff including anxiety, and I've been checking for blood every single time I use the restroom. I'm so nervous about miscarriage and keeping this sweet little baby alive, even tho it's still just an embryo!😭💖
@@raining_trees you 100% are not alone mamma! I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant now and my beautiful baby girl is happy and kicking like crazy! Deep breath, have faith, your body knows what to do. Give your baby all the love and peace and lots of baths lol that helped me 😂
I just got a positive test (well, 4 positives) 2 days ago! I’m 37 and this is my first!! I’m 4 weeks, and I’m already nauseous, tired, a little anxious, bloated, and my boobs HURT! I think I’m in for it this first trimester! But I’m so grateful!!
@@brandi6087 I am now 7 weeks. I haven’t had morning sickness yet and I truly contribute it to taking magnesium every night. Make sure you take choline on top of your prenatal (shown to be EXCELLENT for brain development) and magnesium glycinate at bedtime to help with sleep and prevent some nausea. So far I’ve just had sore boobs, fatigue, and having to pee all the time! Good vibes for you and your baby!
Been vomiting 24hrs a day since week 5. I lost a lot of weight and on my 7th week, I got covid. Been the worst battle of my life but I am glad me and my baby made it. We are now on our 10th week
It's THE WORST. lol. I did find that it kind of goes away in the second trimester once the hormones settled out a bit and I don't have to wake up in the middle of the night as often!! But I think it will return in the 3rd trimester once she is pushing on my bladder all of the time!
I feel queasy most of the time and have this tendency to ralph everytime im exposed to hot temperature also there's loss of appetite you just don't feel like eating or drinking anything
Two things I was surprised about in my first trimester was the tugging sensation in your uterus or cramps. I thought something was wrong but apparently that's normal. Also, the level of hunger you have so early. I though you would getting hungrier in the second trimester.
the cramps! yes! no one tells you its like mild period cramps but mine are almost constant, its been like this for a week! hopefully itll settle soon =)
Thank god others are in the same “am I even pregnant?” boat! I’ve never met someone with so few symptoms like I’ve had. I took multiple pregnancy tests just to make sure nothing had happened. Still waiting for my ultrasound to seeing it with my own eyes!
@Ashley gower congratulations. I’m 3 weeks pregnant and waiting for my ultra sound in 2 or 3 weeks the doctor said. But I have noooo symptoms. How was your ultrasound ? All good ???
That’s how I feel too! I want this baby so bad and find comfort on days when my symptoms are so intense and on days where I almost feel back to normal, I get so scared that I take a test and frantically google miscarriage symptoms lol
Congratulations! I found out at 7 weeks that I was pregnant because I was thinking I was pre-diabetic 🤦♀️ my only symptoms were fatigue and a high sugar craving
I found I was pregnant at 3 weeks! I have never been a napper and thought I was dying with the extreme fatigue. I'm 6 weeks now and just starting to feel morning sickness. Also, I have already gained 5 pounds and am someone who meal preps healthy meals and works out a lot. Thank you for stressing the "don't worry about your weight" because that can play with my head a lot.
Thank you so much for your videos! I'm in week 6, first time pregnant at 44 years old and soo anxious! You can't imagine how much this and other of your videos are helping me! I feel the fatigue and sometimes constipation, some food aversions and I have exactly this almost nausea in the evenings or when I'm feeling hot that you described. I never would have connected heat and ickiness in the stomach, if it wasn't for you! So I lied down with a fan on me to cool down and it really helped - thank you! Also, I've lost two pounds and was really glad to hear from you that this is normal. I love your channel, thank you for being there! ❤
The nausea, fatigue and bloating / cramping were my biggest symptoms. Then came the food aversion, heightened smell and headaches. These are not normal for me, so I tested and four positives later, here we are ☺ Good luck to all the mommas out there!
I know this video is from 2 years ago but very helpful. I'm 41. Had a miscarriage in July and beginning of October I surprisingly was pregnant again. So...I've made it 1 week past where I miscarried last time so a little nervous but crossing fingers. This video helped calm me a bit
In my first trimester I gained 18 pounds, I useful to weight 98 pounds, and ended with 150lbs and I loved it! Now my body went back to my normal weight and now can’t wait to experience it again❤️
I am 11 weeks. The most things I've noticed is that i am EXHAUSTED!!! like from even before i found out i was pregnant, the fatigue just kicked in right away. My appetite has also been crazy small. I haven't had morning sickness but I've lost 7 pounds since getting pregnant because i just haven't been eating as much. Ive had food aversions but its it's mostly just for all food in general. Like im hungry but food just isn't going to happen. I ended up getting some protein/nutrition shakes. I haven't been constipated at all so thats a plus. But the biggest thing I've found is that growing a human takes all of your energy.
First time mom, on week 11. Thanks to all of you ladies for confirming that I’m not alone! I have so many friends who LOVED being pregnant and I’m over here like…😳😳😳. LOL ** I bought a pair of Sea Bands to help with the nausea and it helped me immediately. If you’re looking for relief, it might help and I got two pair for only $8! Praying for healthy and happy pregnancies for all!
I’m finding this video late, but I wish I knew that it was okay to be absolutely miserable and unhappy in the first trimester. I feel like everyone expects you to have so much joy over the baby coming (and we did and still do), that they forget you might feel the worst you’ve ever felt in your life (which I did) and be miserable all the time.
Yes to this! I'm a therapist and it's the first time I've ever felt depressed depressed. I just felt off and lost all interest in my side hustle/podcast. It freaked me out a bit.
When you have a miscarriage and then have the blessing to get pregnant again you embrace every single symptom and feel thankful that you even get to experience it. It’s part of the process, pregnancy isn’t meant to be easy but just having the privilege to be pregnant is everything and should outweigh this unhappiness you describe
Can’t overstate how thankful my husband and I are to have found your channel! I’m totally nodding along through some of these comments and your insight has been invaluable.
I really enjoyed hearing how out of breath she was. I understand fatigue but I was really concerned about my heart and heart rate and thought something was wrong with me because no one talked about it. I was fit before falling pregnant and so it was alarming to me I couldn't really exercise all of a sudden, or even hold a long conversation. That is definitely something I would like to have understood more, because I was really worried about the strain on my heart.
Omg so when I didn't know I was pregnant I worked out and my fitness watch had my heart rate high I thought I was dying! I ended up testing and found out I was pregnant! I'm 6 weeks and have had to change my workouts drastically.
Omg thank you so much for touching on the anxiety you feel during your first trimester if you don’t feel symptoms. I am in my first trimester and symptoms literally come every other day. On my days I feel great, I am a ball of nerves peeing on sticks non stop and when I feel bad and nauseous and dizzy and have no appetite I am so happy despite how physically uncomfortable I feel. There are so many worries in the first trimester that I was not prepared for. I don’t hear anyone talk about it so I never knew this was a thing. Definitely needs more awareness so we can stop feeling so crazy and alone.
You are not crazy and you are definitely NOT alone. There are SO many worries, and they just seem to change by the day! I think it's part of being a mom--you worry about them constantly, from the moment you know they exist.
Thank you for making this channel. This is by far the best resource for me. As a general practitioner and a first time mom (8weeks now), this entire experience feels so nerve-wracking, and your evidence- and empathy-based content is reassuring for me. So thank you soooo much.
This video put my mind at ease. I'm almost 8 weeks pregnant, (first time mama)! And I feel like I'm obsessing over what to eat, enough rest, enough exercise, enough this or that...plus I have no symptoms except for always tired, occasional heartburn, and constipation, and I can't help but constantly think "Am I really pregnant??" Or "is the baby okay in there??" So. Glad. I'm. Not. Alone!!! Thank you for this video. Truly.
I just found out I'm pregnant for the 1st time ever! I love all your videos! They are so helpful. Tbh I am very scared/nervous about being pregnant but thankfully I have a wonderful husband who is so supportive. Again thank you for all your videos!! They all are so good and have so much great information!
Can’t wait for my first ultrasound…first time pregnancy having cramps on pelvis lower left comes and goes cramp like feeling sharp goes away thank you for the video .
I'm 11 weeks and haven't had any morning sickness or heartburn at all. The only symptoms I've had is sore breasts and increased hunger. I actually found out about my pregnancy after going to the hospital for covid. They checked my blood work and came in and told me my hcg levels were up. I've taken 3 home tests since then just to make sure, and even after an ultrasound out of worry something happened, because I've prayed for 5 years for this to happen... it was so unexpected. I've also dealt with extreme anxiety. It can feel quiet lonesome (so if you're a praying woman, please lift me up I feel like I'm falling apart lol) No food aversions. Definitely craving food in general but nothing specific yet. So good, so far. Oh yea, brown discharge after intercourse, and I cried. I just want my baby to be healthy and make it out of the womb. It's been very overwhelming. I'm also a diabetic and I've been given such strict rules and I'm trying but failing. Feeling discouraged. But the 11th is my second ultrasound and I'm excited. Can't believe I'm almost 3 months. We've tried for years. Sorry for rambling... alot of emotions lol
I'm currently 5 weeks and 6 days pregnant with a rainbow baby and am SO glad I found your channel! Will be watching all your vids! Thanks for sharing with us your pregnancy as a first time mom and as an OB-GYN!
@Refaella schuman... oh wow 🤩 ... I too is currently 5 weeks and 6 days pregnant 🤰 but I feel so normal but I feel hot during the night for no reason tho ....
Same! Was like man why am I eating so much it’s still just a few cells!!🤣 How is it now? Your like a month or so ahead of me, has it gotten any better towards the 2nd trimester? Hope all is well!
@@zalhaally9717 ugh me too! I always feel like my period is coming with a vengeance and I’m miscarrying. But as of yet no spotting🤞🏻 the cramps suck and def bring anxiety!
One thing I didn't realize was that if you don't lose any implantation blood early on, the old blood actually sometimes comes out after your 12 week scan. Freaked me out but was told it is actually quite common.
What's comforting about all of these is - everything I'm going through is normal.. what's not comforting about it is... i still have another 4 to 5 weeks of going through it :( thank you though!
Thank you so much for this video about the first trimester! I'm almost 6 weeks pregnant and have been having the anxiety around why I'm not "feeling" pregnant. So this was so helpful, thank you so much!
Congrats Brianna!! SO glad it was helpful-the first trimester is such a roller coaster-glad we could help normalize ALL of the emotions. Sending you vibes for a smooth and healthy pregnancy.
One of the things that surprised me most was how quickly I would get out of breath and how fast my heart would beat whenever I went for a jog or worked out just in the first few weeks! Definitely had to scale back (I was also totally zapped, so my exercises turned into stretching and walking).
I know this is an old video, but I thought I would add that I am 5 weeks pregnant right now and I never expected to feel so out of breath so easily so early. I'm sure it will be way worse, later, but I never thought I would experience this in the beginning.
I am 6 weeks pregnant, first pregnancy ever! and just a few days ago i started getting SUPER tired, and i have this almost nausea feeling like, on and off aallll the time. I feel like i need to eat food, but my tummy feels so yucky and its so hard to eat, i can barely get anything down, and im so exhausted, i had to have my husband cook for me, even though i feel so burdensome to have him cook for me and i just sit there and watch him. But i am trying to remember that my body is working so hard to bring a precious new baby into the world. Thank you for all your comments i loved reading everybody’s symptoms and feeling like im doing okay and everything is normal! Much love to all you new moms out there!❤
So validating to hear that you were largely "symptom-free" too! You just hear so many reports from other mamas of feeling wretched, the incessant nausea and vomiting, etc. I am 5 weeks along, and I have been pretty tired and maybe a little gassy, but other than that, I'm feeling great! I have been worrying about that. Thank you SOO much for the validation that gives me permission to relax and enjoy this pregnancy.
Thank you for being so vulnerable. It’s so refreshing, especially coming from a OBGYN❤. So I’m currently 6weeks pregnant. It’s weird how I’m not as sick as I was for my first baby. For my first I was sick for like 7 months straight 😅. Horrible times🤣 but she’s super healthy, drives me insane but I’m happy 😂😂! Now this pregnancy is so different. I’m just exhausted and feel like I have a slight flu. Temperature is quite high. Hot all the time. And the moods are really starting to shoot up. I felt nauseous last night and this morning but nothing crazy like the last pregnancy. It’s crazy how you stressed while trying to fall pregnant, and then when you are pregnant you start stressing about other things 😂. I’m trying so hard to remain calm. I think I need to start investing my time on prayer, doing things that make me happy and rest lots! I wish all expectant mums all the best and thank you for the amazing video ❤🥰🥰
Thank You for your videos! Information and shared experiences are very empowering for me. I'm 32, have premature ovarian insufficiency, multiple doctors have told me that I cannot be pregnant naturally or at all, but I am. Easy-peasy, we didn't pay care just one time as "Why do? We don't have to!". I'm 7 weeks + 4 days today. I'm extremely tired (could sleep all day, no energy to exercise) and thirsty and every little cramp scares me. Whish the bests for all of You!
I had my first son when I was 20 with literally no sickness or symptoms of uncomfortably. Fast forward 10 years later having my 2nd.. omg 😭.. I FEEL this pregnancy on a whole new level. I’m so uncomfortable all of the time, I’m constantly sick, and soooo uninterested in food. Pray for me you guys.
I feel this comment on such a high level. I had my son when i was 18. It was literally a perfect pregnancy and had no symptoms. Now i am 30 and this pregnancy has been SO MUCH DIFFERENT! I am nauseated, exhausted, headaches, etc. Whew hunny! I am praying over you momma! ❤️
@@whitninewsom6959 I’m so sorry your experiencing all that. Our blessings sure do take a toll on our body. Wishing you luck throughout your journey with your baby, and congratulations 🎉🎈. It’s definitely a new experience having a baby 10 years later. I’ve grown so in sync with my body over the years to were I feel EVERYTHING. My doctor put me on Zofran and that doesn’t touch the nausea. I’m in a constant state of feeling like I’m hungover. Whew lol enough ranting but you get the point. Thank you for your prayers.
I am about to enter the second trimester and I am so happy that I really feel it (no nausea, full of energy, ...). One thing I would have wanted to discover earlier are pressure points: I was exhausted by nausea (70%of my day), in a desperate and skeptical attempt to get relieved, I tried acupressure and it worked 😳 and it worked all the time that I needed. I couldn't believe it! After some days I thought: let's see if it works with constipation as well; believe me or not, but now it works daily like clockwork!
The anxiety is so real and it takes over and pushes your logic to the back of your head 11 weeks in and my bouts of anxiety come almost daily in the morning and usually ends by online shopping 🤣 but mostly just window shopping. Just being in the position to act and improve what's worrying you. But eating and exercise helps bec you know that's working for you and baby! (the healthier option lol)
thankful that I found your video! I don’t have my mom with me anymore and it helps to watch these kinds of videos where people share their own experiences and advice about their early trimester
I'm almost 13 weeks and shocked at the lack of symptoms! So thank you for pointing that out too. Thankfully it doesn't make me anxious cause I just have faith things are fine between appointments. I never really even got the fatigue everyone keeps talking about lol
I am 40 and just found out this morning that I am pregnant. It's definitely a honeymoon baby as we got married less then a month ago. But we have been trying for two years. Now it's happening and I am so excited and scared that I am shaking. I was experiencing a few symptoms that you mentioned, the heartburn and weird cramps that made me think I was getting my period but I never did. Thank you so much for this video. I would love to see one about older mamas like me. This is my first, and most likely only baby and at 40 I hear so many horror stories of what that could mean and miscarriage likelihood goes way up so I'm told. I'd like to hear what you guys have to say about older women pregnancies.
I would like to know more about it too...I am 47 and found out this week that I am pregnant...from the stories I've heard about being pregnant so late in life is high risk...makes me very anxious...our baby wasn't planned....its a miracle...lol
Same here! I'm first time pregnant at 44 - totally unexpected miracle! - and soo anxious. My husband calmed me down really sweet and said that I'm doing everything I can (eating healthy, taking pre natal vitamins, exercising gently, taking breaks, doing all the exams) and that I've got to trust that it's gonna be fine. So, I'm sharing his advice:-). Also, I've found a yoga for first trimester anxiousness video here on RUclips with positive affirmations that really helped to calm me down, so maybe you want to check it out, too. All the best to both of you!
Thank you so much for creating this video. It helped to also read the comments and hear other peoples experiences. I am 37 years old, live with endometriosis, and was struggling to conceive. I'll be 8 weeks this Friday. My first symptom was difficulties sleeping. I couldn't stay awake to save my life at night, but could only sleep 4-5 hours. After that, I was wide awake. Now, I just feel so dang tired all the time, nauseas, and have serious food aversions (especially to coffee and healthy foods). I think the biggest surprise for me was how quickly I lost interest in things that once brought me joy. I have a side hustle and podcast, and immediately had no desire (or energy) to work on it. I've paused the podcast and interviews as a result. I'm a therapist, and this experience has helped me see the impact pregnancy has on mental health and I wish we created more conversations on this topic.
I’ve gotten faint lines on my pregnancy tests since 8 dpo. I’ve had most of the symptoms you mentioned as well. If this is it for me, I feel really grateful, loved and highly favored. This was honestly my first month trying.
Starting week 7 tomorrow 🎉 Here’s what I’ve been experiencing since mid week 5 : -I’m so tired, it doesn’t even make sense. -Nausea (24/7 -_-) -Cramping -A little insomnia
At 9/.5 weeks, I have had zero symptoms. Zip. Zilch. While I'm extremely thankful, it's very anxiety inducing. I have to stop myself from taking a pregnancy test every day because I'm so scared something is wrong 🤦♀ Definitely feel for those going through hellish symptoms too!
I'm 8 weeks pregnant, got COVID symptoms (and a positive COVID result) about 2 weeks ago. My GP said there's nothing to worry wrt the baby unless you feel very sick or have difficulty breathing. Thankfully my symptoms are getting better now, and I hope it doesn't have any long term effects
Thank you for sharing!! One thing that I would recommend to all women is to find out your blood type (if you do not already know). If you have a negative blood type (like myself), you will have Rh Incompatibility if your partner has a positive blood type. If this applies to you, you need to go to the emergency department if you experience any bleeding during the first trimester! I learned about Rh Incompatibility in the book 'what to expect when you're expecting' but it did NOT mention anything about bleeding!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this video. I'm around 8 weeks, and only have my first pre-natal visit and sonar at 10 weeks. Thanks for addressing the "am I pregnant, and is everything ok?" anxiety. I'm suffering with this tremendously. I've been lucky enough to have only mild all-day morning sickness, and it let up quite a bit a little under a week ago. I also caught a cold from hubby which has now won me a course of antibiotics despite best efforts to just get better. I've been depressingly terrified that everything's gone wrong for the past week. Another baaad part, and I'm so grateful that you touched on that, is that only our doctor knows for now. I really wanted to wait until at least after the first scan to tell anyone, and the sheer loneliness of not being able to share the worry and uncertainty with anyone other than hubby, is really really rough. I had this ideal of only breaking the news at 13 weeks, and then after first check-up, and honestly, I don't know how people deal with this until then.
Thank God, I also dodged any nausea!!! But the constipation was sooooo real! Colace was a life saver! No food aversion for me either! The worst in the 1st trimester was hardly pooping, and EXTREMELY sore beasts!
I know this is an old video, but I’m discovering your channel now! When I was pregnant previously (unfortunately it ended in loss), I didn’t really have morning sickness at all. Until I had a 2 week stretch from week 9-11, I was sick almost every 20-30 minutes! For two weeks. Not every other day, every single day. I was 100% not prepared for that!
11 weeks in and I have been dealing with nausea and food aversions. Who else can’t stand to even look at cucumbers??? And the weird vivid dreams! No one told me.
Thanks Dr. B for documenting and sharing your expertise and experience! I’m 9 weeks pregnant, I’m a foodie, and some meals have been absolutely euphoric. . . Like blissful . . . like am-I-on-something good feeling. I also had some anxiety and doubts constant low level nausea etc. but just hadn’t heard anyone say how good some food would make me feel. . . The meals that blissed me out were homemade lasagna and spicy Thai food. Has anyone else had a euphoric meal experience in the first trimester? Thanks
I’m so glad you brought up the no symptoms thing! I have no symptoms at all and it is freaking me out. The wait until that ultrasound feels like forever away! Also found out I was pregnant while I had COVID and I’m terrified about the effect of the high fever and ibuprofen I was using before the positive test! Just so scared of what’s going on in there and if everything is okay. Thanks for the information :)
Oh my god thank you for this video! I’m 11 weeks and only after my first scan did I “feel pregnant”. I was so nervous / anxious that I wasn’t actually pregnant because like yourself, I haven’t experienced any sickness, mainly just food aversions, and I just didn’t feel pregnant. I wish I’d seen this video earlier! I also second the commend below about the odd tugging/cramping sensations that my doc said were the ligaments stretching. I thought something as wrong but she said it’s all normal! Who knew all this stuff! Haha! Thanks again!!
I’m surprised how quickly the symptoms came! I was having symptoms from 3 weeks! Cramping, bloating, sore boobs, a little moody. I thought my period was coming and got the brilliant news that I’m pregnant! I’m now 4.5 weeks. My husband and I are overjoyed. 🥰 One thing that is strange is I’m suddenly up very early and earlier than normal. I know it’s hormones but I’m telling myself the baby is a morning person.
Around 6-8 weeks the fatigue was intense now that im about 10 weeks i barely get sleep. I sleep for 5-6 hours and I'm ok I wake up normal and don't feel the need to sleep or take a nap
Just found these videos... I am 5.5 weeks, my first appointment is in 6 days and these videos are helping A LOT!!!!! The nausea and cramps and killer, but in the end going to be worth it
Hi, Thank you so so much for making these videos! I just found out that I am 4 weeks pregnant. I am excited! Definitely the bleeding/spotting/cramps made me very nervous. Hearing you talk about it helped me. I’m watching all your videos now!
Katie--Congrats on your new pregnancy. It is such an exciting and nerve-wracking time! I am glad you found our channel and that these videos are helpful--that is our goal and we are so happy you are here.
I am 5 weeks 3 days and I have been spotting (very light brown) for 7 days off and on. My cramps feel exactly like period cramps but my doctor said exactly what you said… it’s all okay! I just have to overcome the anxiety
I can relate with the thought that sharing about the pregnancy early on brings me comfort. Because, as you say, if something does go wrong, there is a network of beautiful and strong people around me that can help me go through it. I'm happy I am not the only one having these thoughts.
I was a runner and my dr told me there was no problem with continuing to run in first trimester. I think what a lot of drs fail to mention though, it that relaxin levels peak at week 12-13. I didn’t know this and continued to run like usual and suddenly developed very bad pelvic girdle pain as a result at week 13. I could hardly walk. Even with seeing PTs during and after pregnancy, I’m still suffering and haven’t run in a year and a half now. Also I can’t walk much. Most of us who experience this only learn after it’s too late! I had no idea this could happen in first trimester.
I’m 9 weeks into my first pregnancy. The exhaustion, the food aversions, nausea and constant peeing are big for me. Some days I will barely have any nausea and have more energy, then the next day feel sooo depleted. My aversions are pretty bad, to the point that I can barely get myself to cook (and I usually love being in the kitchen). I definitely felt like it wasn’t real up until the 8th week, now it’s sinking in. First ultrasound is this week so that will probably help make it feel more real. Good luck to all you expecting parents out there!
the anxiety is so real. I lost all pregnancy symptoms (there wasn't much to begin with) at around week 8 and I freaked out, read a lot about mmc, had an emotional breakdown.. Now i'm supposed to be week 11 but haven't had an ultrasound to see if an mmc actually happened (likely next week), but some of my symptoms came back. Fingers crossed that my little baby is still there and healthy.
Thank you for this, especially touching on not “feeling” pregnant and the worry that brings. I’m only 4 1/2 weeks, and not really having symptoms at all (I know I don’t want any in theory) but the fear is real!
I felt the same I didn't start having symptoms till 6 weeks and then got hit like a truck with nausea/vomiting and fatigue in week 7. 10 weeks now and still feel like shit lol
I only had cramps for like the first 5 weeks then the vomit started and it was so much. It's kind of better now but dam I am ready to stop feeling sick all the time.
Thank you for covering the bleeding, I had a cramp (worse than normal) with some blood (light pink spotting). It was after intercourse and i didn't realize it was related!! it happened a couple hours later. My doc still recommends i come in and just check my HCG and this helped my anxiety which has ALSO been off the rails. almost 5 weeks btw! so really early
3rd baby. 6wks and super fatigued and morning sickness all day long. Cant eat normally, but very hungry so I make myself eat and thankful that the food stays down. I also walk at least 1 mile a day to keep my body moving and get the mind off of the nausea. Didn't have these symptoms when carrying the other two children. Very interesting to see the difference between every pregnancy.
Thank you for talking about not really having symptoms. I'm at 6 weeks with my first child at 36 and hardly feel like I am pregnant. The anxiety is real.
I had abt 5 miscarriages before and now I'm 6 weeks pregnant. I never bn this far before and I believe that I will have this baby cz it my first time experiencing morning sickness. My morning sickness r crazy, imagine hating the smell of soap n lotion that u used to love before. Not to talk abt eating , I don't even know how much I eat per day. I don't gain much weight though.
The anxiety from not having big pregnancy symptoms was really kinda surprising to me. (I'm 10 weeks). Fatigue is the biggest factor right now. I feel like I could take a nap at any point during the day. I haven't had any specific food cravings just a desire to eat constantly.
I'm 5 weeks and I have been waking up to pee 2-3 times a night for the last week or so! For some reason I was able to sleep through last night, but I did NOT expect this so soon! Also, Hungry all the time. Also, SO worried about miscarrying. I haven't let myself get too excited because I am so nervous it will be taken away from me. I think I will feel better after the 6 week mark and even better after my 8 week scan!
I'm 8 weeks in and my main symptom was intense crampings from week 4 to 6 that lasted about 30 seconds and had fewer cramps as days went by. Right now it's intense hunger, i'm too hungry to ignore food. And most times when I start to eat I end up not liking what I wanted to eat. it's frustrating.
Third pregnancy here and yes, every pregnancy has been different so far! Constipation and nausea have been my biggest thing. On a double dose macrogol to keep things loving this time! Not as exhausted as last time, but sicker. I love love love my babies but hand on heart I hate pregnancy!
So glad I found your channel! I’m only thinking about trying to conceive soon and knowing you both are here as resources is great! I hope you continue this station for a long time atleast into the teens!!
5.5 weeks pregnant here , first time mommy !! I'm glad you said about "feeling no symptoms , is everything okay ??" I'm having such anxiety , feeling like it's all fake and there's nothing actually there (meanwhile , I've taken 6 pregnancy tests and their all positive lol) . Just awaiting our first scan in August , so I can be a bit more at ease !!!!
For me, I started with fatigue and moved on to morning sickness (no vomiting), and food aversion. Accupunction works great for the fatigue (yes, acupuncture is safe for pregnant women, there are special guidelines for giving energy to pregnant women without harming the baby, overall, no punctures above the knees and below the chest). I used a combination of b6 and doxylamine for the nausea (10mg each), it didn't help much with the sickness but it significantly reduced the food aversion! Now I can eat & sleep almost like a normal person, without much fatigue during the day. That is good enough for me :) As for constipation, what really works for me is one apple and one orange (or peach) per day, one bag of apple sauce (90g), and always having some veggie soups with the meals.
Thank you thank you thank you!!! I found out I am pregnant a week ago at approx. 5.3 weeks and immediately went to the ob-gyn, made an ultrasound where you can only see the sac. My ob told me there was always a possibility of having no embryo in the sac but that I was early to tell. So she told me to get another scan until week 7 at least. this past week has been a total nightmare, I am so anxious waiting for the date to come. I actually turn 7 weeks on Saturday and planning on having the scan that day but they moved it to the day before, so I'll be 6.6 weeks and I pray it will show something. On the other hand, I am also not having almost any symptoms, no nausea, no nothing, so it also makes me anxious.
Knowing it is actually something that happens to be this anxious and to not have symptoms, and also knowing it is normal to see anything at week 5 is reassuring. Still anxious but really hopeful.
@@osheannalavallee680thank you so much!! It all went well. Apparently I was a week off by size so I’m only 6 weeks and could see the embryo and the heartbeat
My first pregnancy was smooth sailing, I had zero symptoms. This time around I am a mess. I do not feel like myself. I have no energy for anything. My sense of smell is out of control. We are just past 8 weeks and I am struggling. Morning sickness lasts all day. The fatigue is here one day, gone the next then sweeps in when I think I am past it. I am extremely anxious so the knot in my tummy is permanent.
thank you for this video. helpful. nausea wakes me up at night. i expected the frequent urination but it can definitely be annoying. fatigue was surprising. food aversions are depressing. i'm hungry but hate being nauseated so i have lost about 5lbs in the past month. i'm 9 weeks. mood swings are real. i feel guilty cuz i feel miserable sometimes and i know ppl who are struggling to get pregnant. But i was walking 3 days a week for a month before the fatique hit these last 2 weeks so i hope to get back to that this week. i will have to eat something small almost every hour. it's hard to stay hydrated. but i'm blessed and this will hopefully ease up the 2nd trimester
I'm currently 7w pregnant with my nausea, sensitive nipples, tiredness, bloating, and extreme hunger that I go through the day like pacman!! Had a MMC last year so hoping.this baby sticks. 44 years old and this is baby number 4 from pregnancy number 14!!!
Thank you so much for these videos you and your husband have been doing. I'm a first time mom and have to wait a little longer than usual to get in with my doctor and I had so many questions. You comment in this video about really feeling no symptoms was really reassuring. The only difference I've felt is being super tired and having to pee more often, which don't seem extreme enough to confirm I'm actually pregnant (even though I got 4 positive tests 😂). So thank you again so much for sharing your journey. It's been a real blessing for me! ❤
Lol I did lots of test too as my first one just had a light second line (the lines got darker each day which is a good sign and I also tried a few different brands).
Congratulations on your daughter. Unfortunately, our daughter was born still at 22 weeks back in May. It was quite a shock. But, my husband and I are now expecting again and I am about 10 weeks along. Thankfully I was able to get in to see my doctor a lot earlier this time. I'm rewatching all your content as the weeks go on and they are still so helpful. Thank you again. ❤
This video made me feel so good! I have been dealing with a lot of the symptoms you mentioned and I thought I was crazy, the bloading and the constipation are super real!!! And I am so sensitive to heat, I can´t stand it, I just bought a bunch of cotton shorts cause the material of leggings is just not doing it for me. I just hope I have a healthy baby to show for it at the end of all this.
Ohh gosh! Thank you so much for touching on anxiety,, i haven't had any major pregnancy symptoms and that has my anxiety out of the roof,,my 1st appointment is coming up soon so hopefully that will help calm me down
I waited 5 months to tell anyone I was pregnant. I didn’t want to be asked about it if I lost my first baby. I’m now 6 1/2 months pregnant and she is healthy❤️
I hope you had a beautiful healthy baby!
@@TA-kv6ic thank u! She is 7 months old! Was born having trouble breathing and now super healthy💕
Congratulations! I'm 8 weeks too, I'm 43 and pregnant for the first time. All the best to you!
Congratulations! and thank you for sharing your feelings. I am almost 41, first time pregnancy and also nervous about my age. We got this!!
Hello! I’m 42 and 12 weeks pregnant. I’m soooo nervous. I had my first ten years ago. But it sure feels like the first one 😮
Update in June: just got a notification from RUclips that someone liked my comment and I thought I’d make an update.
Thanks for sharing!
may i ask how often have you experienced cramps and how long does it last?i have none of my friends had this and i was worried as well
Yes mine felt like period pains. Neither did my mom or grandma ever experience that and they were worried but my nurse said it’s fine. It’s my uterus expanding.
@@alaamohammedhassan278 I found out I was expecting at 4 weeks, and I experienced the cramping off and on for maybe 2 weeks and it subsided!
Ditto! I had never heard of cramping before and had period like cramps on and off weeks 4-5!
From someone experiencing extreme nausea 24 hours a day started at week 5, to any of you lucky mamas with no symptoms.. count your blessings & be happy. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone 😭
I have constant nausea and all i can do is lay in bed all day im getting so bored and depressed 🥺😞
@@maasikas070 needed to hear this! Thank you! I’ll be 9 weeks tomorrow so hopefully relief soon ❤️
The fear of miscarriage was enormous!!! I’m not an anxious person. But now I want the baby so bad, any thoughts of miscarriage was terrifying to me.
It's so hard--all the dreams and plans and wishes you make for them while you are pregnant. Praying for a safe and uneventful pregnancy for you.
So true. I just found out I’m pregnant after having 2 previous miscarriages, I want nothing more than a safe pregnancy and delivery 😢
Im going through exactly the same
I am absolutely freaking out about this, I am only 5 weeks and want so badly for my first appointment to be here so I can know something.
I feel ya!! google has never seen so much traffic come from me HAHAHA
same here! but I realised the more we google, the more we might feel anxiety, too many "don'ts" 😅
my gynae told me that it's just important to avoid alcohol & raw food, everything else is fine, as long as in moderation, so glad i can still drink my coffee! but I cut down on it a lot
I'm 6 weeks as well and have cut out a lot of foods because of Google 😅🤣
Congratulations!!! Isn’t that boob/nipple tenderness painful and weird at the same time
The boobs hurting were the first thing that gave me the pregnancy suspicion
Can you update how your pregnancy went? I am in the same boat, 4 weeks pregnant and 36 😊 no symptoms so far
@@Remychimi49I'm 41 and just found out im pregnant. It was unplanned as I didn't think I could have kids. How are you feeling?
I'm so sorry to hear about your difficult journey and so glad, you made it both out alive and well! I hope, you are doing great now!
Have mercy! I’m in wk 7 and just got COVID too 😭 that was the only time I threw up though thankfully, but the nausea is a new sidekick 😒
Oh no , I’m 4 weeks and haven’t gotten sick at all, for a second I thought I dodge that bullet,
Amen!
Im so sorry to hear that. Have you checked with a doctor if it is hyperemises?
Waking up in the middle of the night to pee and not falling asleep afterwards. I did not expect that!
It's THE WORST. lol. I did find that it kind of goes away in the second trimester once the hormones settled out a bit and I don't have to wake up in the middle of the night as often!! But I think it will return in the 3rd trimester once she is pushing on my bladder all of the time!
For real. I’m basically up at 2 am everyday.
Same here... I don’t know what to do because I still have so many things to do during the day and that fatigue just killing me 😖.
@@JessH2024 I am up at 4
I feel queasy most of the time and have this tendency to ralph everytime im exposed to hot temperature also there's loss of appetite you just don't feel like eating or drinking anything
Two things I was surprised about in my first trimester was the tugging sensation in your uterus or cramps. I thought something was wrong but apparently that's normal. Also, the level of hunger you have so early. I though you would getting hungrier in the second trimester.
I thought I was the only one, thanks for sharing!
Yes I have that pulling feeling too, like my belly button area and sides feel like they are expanding.
the cramps! yes! no one tells you its like mild period cramps but mine are almost constant, its been like this for a week! hopefully itll settle soon =)
Same! I feel like this is something no one really talks about. Mine have been going on for about 2 weeks.

I was hesitant till my 7 week ultrasound and I heard the heartbeat due to no symptoms.
@@smitha3748 I had a miscarriage 💔😭. At 9 weeks
Do you struggle with eating healthy now? I always ate healthy and now have such an aversion to those foods. All I want is carbs.

These are not normal for me, so I tested and four positives later, here we are ☺
Good luck to all the mommas out there!
We're possibly the same time. I tested last week but the sickness has lasted two weeks.
Thank you for addressing the anxiety that comes with minimal symptoms!
I know this video is from 2 years ago but very helpful. I'm 41. Had a miscarriage in July and beginning of October I surprisingly was pregnant again. So...I've made it 1 week past where I miscarried last time so a little nervous but crossing fingers. This video helped calm me a bit
I miscarried 12 weeks 5 days. It was truly difficult but I’m glad I’m helping “normalize” miscarriages especially soo late into the trimester.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I pray you find peace and happiness.
Oh my goodness… so sorry to hear this… sending love and light ❤
Sending you love ❤
So sorry for your loss. I also miscarried at 12 weeks.
@@mirjamtanguay6439I’m so sorry to hear that :( I hope you get your rainbow baby if you’re still trying!! ❤
This is the comment I was looking for. The exhaustion is unreal. Praying for all you mamas looking for relief like me.
First time mom, on week 11. Thanks to all of you ladies for confirming that I’m not alone! I have so many friends who LOVED being pregnant and I’m over here like…😳😳😳. LOL
** I bought a pair of Sea Bands to help with the nausea and it helped me immediately.
Honestly this is exactly how I feel right now! So glad I'm not the only one.
Ugh I’m feeling this so much right now. It’s horrible. I’m very excited but for really this is a mess.
Yes to this! I'm a therapist and it's the first time I've ever felt depressed depressed. I just felt off and lost all interest in my side hustle/podcast. It freaked me out a bit.
Awe, i feel the same way, kind of miserable to be honest. It is the ultimate journey of surrender and i feel like ive miserably failed.
Oh thank you so much for sharing that. That was our goal when we started this channel and I am so glad you are finding it helpful. ❤️
Tested positive yesterday, I’m so excited for this new journey ❤
This video put my mind at ease. I'm almost 8 weeks pregnant, (first time mama)! And I feel like I'm obsessing over what to eat, enough rest, enough exercise, enough this or that...plus I have no symptoms except for always tired, occasional heartburn, and constipation, and I can't help but constantly think "Am I really pregnant??" Or "is the baby okay in there??" So. Glad. I'm. Not. Alone!!!
Thank you for this video. Truly.
How are you now? I'm only 4 weeks..1st time momma and 42. 😢very nervous 😓
I just found out I'm pregnant for the 1st time ever! I love all your videos! They are so helpful. Can’t wait for my first ultrasound…first time pregnancy
having cramps on pelvis lower left comes and goes cramp like feeling sharp goes away thank you for the video .
I’m guessing you have had your baby? How is everything going? What gender is the baby?
Im hoping everything went well for you!
Praying for you and your baby! You got this mama ❤❤❤

One thing I didn't realize was that if you don't lose any implantation blood early on, the old blood actually sometimes comes out after your 12 week scan. Freaked me out but was told it is actually quite common.
A symptom I've never heard of but I've been experiencing since I think i conceived is having wild, vivid, dreams!🤯

😥 I thought I was the only one that felt like I was getting out of breath easily ..
I know this is an old video, but I thought I would add that I am 5 weeks pregnant right now and I never expected to feel so out of breath so easily so early. I'm sure it will be way worse, later, but I never thought I would experience this in the beginning.

I am so grateful for these videos. I appreciate that you speak from a mother’s perspective as well. You se every relatable!! Thank you ❤
Thank You for your videos!
Prayers!!!!
@@elenaperri4977 thank you 🙏🏽
I feel this comment on such a high level.
The anxiety is so real and it takes over and pushes your logic to the back of your head
11 weeks in and my bouts of anxiety come almost daily in the morning and usually ends by online shopping 🤣 but mostly just window shopping. Just being in the position to act and improve what's worrying you.
But eating and exercise helps bec you know that's working for you and baby! (the healthier option lol)
Yeah guys im disappointed at barely or not being able to control my anxiety. The surrender journey has been a fail for me so far.
thankful that I found your video! I don’t have my mom with me anymore and it helps to watch these kinds of videos where people share their own experiences and advice about their early trimester
Same here💜 I know how you feel. Our moms are still there for us as guardian angels. Wishing you luck!
Oh wow not just me just found out I'm 3 months at 39 my first ❤️ 🙏🏾♥️✨ we are going to be alright ladies in Jesus name AMEN 💞
Hey there :) Im 41 and 5 weeks pregnant (also 1. time) Good luck for all of you ❤️
Hey I'm pregnant at 42 my first, after 2 miscarriages. It's scary but I'm hopeful
I really appreciate a science-backed channel about pregnancy. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this comment. It is extremely helpful to me.
I’ve gotten faint lines on my pregnancy tests since 8 dpo. I’ve had most of the symptoms you mentioned as well. If this is it for me, I feel really grateful, loved and highly favored. This was honestly my first month trying.
May gif bless u an your baby 🙏💚😘🫂

Starting week 7 tomorrow 🎉 Here’s what I’ve been experiencing since mid week 5 :
-I’m so tired, it doesn’t even make sense.
-Nausea (24/7 -_-)
-Cramping
-A little insomnia
At 9/.5 weeks, I have had zero symptoms. Zip. Zilch. While I'm extremely thankful, it's very anxiety inducing. I have to stop myself from taking a pregnancy test every day because I'm so scared something is wrong 🤦♀ Definitely feel for those going through hellish symptoms too!
Understandable 😄 I would do the same
Thank you so much for this. I will be 6 weeks pregnant tomorrow. This gave me so much reassurance and comfort.
I just learned this week that I am pregnant so happy you are documenting your journey
How’s things going?
Oh my god thank you for this video! I’m 11 weeks and only after my first scan did I “feel pregnant”. I was so nervous / anxious that I wasn’t actually pregnant because like yourself, I haven’t experienced any sickness, mainly just food aversions, and I just didn’t feel pregnant. I wish I’d seen this video earlier!
I also second the commend below about the odd tugging/cramping sensations that my doc said were the ligaments stretching. I thought something as wrong but she said it’s all normal! Who knew all this stuff! Haha! Thanks again!!
i genuinely love how RAW you are. thank you for that ❤️
This is such a validating video! I haven’t been really feeling pregnancy symptoms either, which has caused a bit of anxiety. Thank you!
This is so helpful, thank you! Can you do a video on what stretches are safe during pregnancy and how to help back pain?
The fatigue was SOOO REALLL! We’re glad to know it’s getting better for you. Good luck with the 2nd trimester- my energy got so much better.
Just found these videos... I am 5.5 weeks, my first appointment is in 6 days and these videos are helping A LOT!!!!! The nausea and cramps and killer, but in the end going to be worth it
Hi,
Thank you so so much for making these videos!
I’m the same way, I’m glad you made it clear because I’m nervous because I’m 6 weeks pregnant and spotting and cramping as well.
Can you elaborate pls. I’m a runner too
I’m 9 weeks into my first pregnancy.
Feeling same now I'm just 4 weeks and sometimes get scared I'm not developing anything. No symptoms at all.
I felt the same I didn't start having symptoms till 6 weeks and then got hit like a truck with nausea/vomiting and fatigue in week 7. 10 weeks now and still feel like shit lol
Same here ...
Oh wow, so it could be common after intercourse!
How are you doing??
Omg I just turned 4 weeks and I am in the same boat. Like...how does it start this early???
How has it been for you? @Kailey Anderson
Basically the only video I’ve been able to relate to because I don’t have morning sickness and the anxiety behind not knowing can get pretty intense
That is good enough for me :)
As for constipation, what really works for me is one apple and one orange (or peach) per day, one bag of apple sauce (90g), and always having some veggie soups with the meals.
Hope all went well at your scan today❤❤ sending prayers and goodluck
First Trimester with my first baby - nausea just about 24 hours a day, every day. Also, extreme anxiety!!!
The extreme lethargy is real 🥹 I’m in my 8th week and I started feeling exhausted as early as the 3rd. I once fell asleep mid conversation. Craaaaazy
Thank you so much for saying this. It means a lot. 😊
