Hey guys, Dizzy here. Checkin out the Huion KAMVAS Pro 12 graphics tablet that Huion sent me, I'm honestly really impressed. Maybe I'm just an old fuddy-duddy, but back in my day a pen display was a big inconvenient thing that had to sit on your desk - these newfangled ones can be packed up beside your laptop.

I'm glad I could help - I may have a follow-up coming out, I'm writing a script for one right now based on the questions I've had here in the comments section. There's a lot of people with the same questions and concerns here, I wanted to be able to send everyone to a new video that kind of explains things a little bit more. For example, a lot of people didn't realize that this is just a screen with a pen - if I can explain that up front, maybe less people would be confused why it doesn't have software on it. At least, I hope so.
It's a good pen display, I hate for so many people to be mislead by it and to end up having a negative opinion of it.

really late on this but I like you owned up to user error were a lot of other people seem to love to write low reviews on things like not installing drivers then saying the product sucks because it's not working, your review was well done!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I always try my best to be fair, I think it's important to let people know when I make a mistake specifically because they may have made the same mistake (so they might be able to solve it the same way). I'd much rather figure the problem out than give up and blame the product 🙂

Hi thanks for your video. I just got myself a kamvas pro 12 and am such a grana on it. Meaning am a very slow learner. I do not know how to use the it properly. I like the way you explain it is really simple. If you have more tutorial on Kamvas pro 12 please I will be happy if you could post them.
I am happy that my video has helped you a little! I will be putting another KAMVAS video up as soon as I can sit down to edit it, it will talk about making a font (so it will show why my buttons are set up the way they are, and it will show some tricks I use to get better results). Especially if you use Photoshop or Clip Studio, I think that video will be helpful for you :-)

I cant find any tutorials on this, but how do I get it to show up on the tablet? like the screen. Because its plugged in, I have everything set up, but when I go to change the display, it says the tablet isnt plugged in

Thanks for dropping by and commenting :-) which program do you use? I prefer Photoshop, but the tablet can be used with any drawing program. However, it doesn't not come with a special one, you have to use one from another company. Once you have a drawing program, you can open it just like any other program on your computer, then you can move the program by dragging it over to the Huion using your mouse. Then you can just start drawing!
If you don't have a program yet, I recommend either Photoshop or ClipStudio Paint, it's easy to get started with either one and as you get more advanced, the program will allow you to do more. If you are interested in a free option though, I would recommend Mischief or Krita.

See I’m currently running into a weird problem where whatever I try doing on the tablet affects the computer and whatever I do on the computer is what happens on the tablet and I don’t know how to stop that

I got this recently and it shows the computer on the screen. But whenever I try to use the pen the mouse will only move from side to side up in the top. Anyone know how to fix this?
That's a weird one, I haven't heard of that happening before, I'm sorry. I would try setting my system to "duplicate this display" inside the Display Settings to see if that allows the pen to move up and down. If it doesn't, there might be an issue with the Huion, but if it does then the issue is probably with the computer.
Hey I don't know but is the Huion kamvas 12 good for 3D animation or 3D sculpting(zbrush)?
As a tablet, it is very good for both of those things - but be aware, you will still need a strong computer to do anything with 3D applications. I use Blender, nothing very fancy, and I do some 3D Sculpting this way, it works very well, but it's only able to work at all because the computer is strong.

i just got this tablet and it won't work. it says there is no signal, what do I do? it automatically says power saving mode and wont work. the power button turns red and itll just turn back off, but the pen still works.

I am about to order this tablet for my desktop but my monitor now is 4k. You said you ran into a problem with that, what settings will i have to adjust to have it properly display to the tablet without it being blurry like you encountered?
Just set it to "extend" the display and not "duplicate", then it'll be treated as an additional display and the computer will display things at the correct resolution on that screen. It shouldn't be an issue at all if you're using it with a desktop computer though.

Sorry, mine didn't need to be set up in any special way - when I plugged the display in, it just worked. Unless you mean the buttons, which need to be programmed in the Huion app.
What software are you using with your tablet? We thought software was actually loaded on the tablet and it isn’t
I use Photoshop - but yes, the tablet is JUST a tablet, it's literally just a computer monitor that has a compatible pen, it doesn't do anything by itself and it need to be plugged in to use it no matter what. I think a LOT of people have been a little mislead (or were just mistaken) about the tablet's function, I'm thinking of doing a follow-up to this where I talk about exactly how the tablet works (and doesn't work) to try to clear that up a little. You're definitely NOT the only person who's asked about stuff like this, I'm hoping I can try to help whoever I can so they're not confused when they get it and it's just a screen. Do you think it would help if I did that?
I really do think it would help and the different software that is compatible and how it works. My son is really confused

Hey, sorry I missed this comment until now - you should be able to rotate the display 180 degrees in your computer's display settings, but there is also a setting in the Huion's tablet menu. Not in the software, but on the tablet itself when you hit the menu button (the same way that you adjust color settings) there's a section of the menu for this purpose :-)
Do you think I should buy this I have an XP pen 12 pro but it's kinda dead the connection is really sad and the drivers are even worse I want something reliable and easy to use and cheap.
I would definitely say the KAMVAS Pro 12 is easy to use and it's not expensive, but I don't know how reliable you'd consider it. I personally haven't had any issues with it in the time I've used it (and I've used it at least weekly since I got it). But if you look in the comments, you can see that a lot of people have had trouble setting theirs up for one reason or another. Some of that might just be little mistakes (like how I forgot to install my software at first), but some of it might be real compatibility issues. Like I said, I think it's a great tablet, WAY better than my old one, but it would be worth learning a little more about the problems people have had before buying it if you're concerned.

Thanks man, you basically solved all the problems that I was experiencing, the only issue I have with it is that you can't have it independent of the computer because I don't have an extra HDMI cable and I was hoping to use it on the go without a laptop, but eh ya win some ya lose some.
Hi, I just got this tablet completely brand new and whenever I plug in my tablet it says that the device is connected but when i turn it on the kamvas screen boots up only to say No Signal and shut off again. I have a windows 8 computer if that helps.
I'm sorry, I'm not really sure what to do about that. All I can recommend is making sure the drivers are installed, making sure all the cables are plugged in correctly, and maybe contacting Huion to ask them if it's an issue they're familiar with. I've never had that happen though. Good luck!

At one point in the video you show how the tablet thinks the 2 displays are the size of the big one and the pen shoots across the screen. I have an issue like that but the opposite. If I'm in the corner of my screen it's on the cursor. But if i move to the middle of the screen the cursor falls behind.
That sounds like a mapping issue, that should be fixable from the Huion program. There's that screen where you can set the boundaries of the pen, I'd make sure it's not set to occupy only a portion of the screen.

My display only shows a static image of my desktop, can somebody please help
Have you tried right-clicking on your desktop (on the other screen) and looking at what orientation your second screen is in? Your computer might be automatically set to "extend the desktop" either to the left or right and it could be slightly out of alignment depending on the resolution. If you right click on the screen your desktop is on, choose "display settings", and check the options inside that menu, you can set up your screen to be on the side you want it on, and then you should be able to move your mouse (and your programs) over to the Huion screen just by dragging them over :-)

I found help and it turns out that you have to enable mirroring on the computer, like you are trying to put it up on a TV. If you can find out what settings to select to do that, you do the same for the pad.

The tablet has to be used with a computer, it doesn't work by itself.
I am having trouble I downloaded the driver but I don’t have an account and it wants me to pay 10 dollars for an account do I have to pay money?
You should not need to pay anything, the drivers are free to download and the program shouldn't ask you for any money or any membership. Double check that you downloaded the drivers from the official Huion site and not any other website, and if you're still having trouble then definitely contact Huion directly by going to the site. Let them know about your problem and ask them to help, their customer service team is very responsive in my experience :-)

Do you mean that you only see a black screen on the Kamvas? That may be because of your desktop background settings - have you tried dragging a program over onto that screen using your mouse?

Whoops, sorry I missed your comment! For that, I would recommend either an iPad Pro or a Wacom Cintiq Companion Hybrid. Personally, I'm not much of an Apple user, but I do think the iPad Pro would be a better option because of the drawing/design programs available, there are quite a few very good ones and the Apple Pencil is very very good. But both the iPad and the Cintiq will be more expensive than this, most cheaper pen displays like the Huion are only cheap because they don't have all the computer-stuff inside of them.

The listing I got mine from didn't come with the glove, but if you're looking for good drawing gloves I'd recommend these amzn.to/2NaDci6
They come in a two pack, which is handy for bigger screens where you might rest your other hand on the screen, and they come in four different sizes instead of "one size fits all" :-)

It requires a computer - most pen displays do, they're basically just screens with pens.

No, the power adapter is used for every kind of computer. It provides power to the screen, there's a plug that you have to plug into the wall or it won't turn on.
Oh ok one more question, is the power cord the same as the power “adapter”
@@nothingelseyt688 Yes and no - there are two cables. One is that split-apart cable I show in the video, which includes a power "adapter", that's the weird looking tube with the lightning bolt next to it in the video. Then, there's a power CORD. One end of that plugs into the wall, the other end plugs into the adapter.
Think of it like one cable to connect the tablet to your computer and another one to connect that cable to the wall. It's a little weird, but the reason they do it is so that people in different countries (with different power plugs in their walls) and people with different sizes of tablet can all use the same splitter cable. The only thing that changes is the part that plugs into the wall. By doing that, they can make tons of screens and tons of splitter cables for a cheaper price, that way they can sell the tablet cheaper :-)

Please you skipped right over the most difficult part the screens will not talk to each other,,, how did u get ur drawing screen onto the tablet it does not want to live there ,,, I’m in tears this is the most difficult thing in the world

About the question would a usbc cable work in place of that mess of cables . I'm about to have the answer to that question. Give me 3 days. I wasn't aware that it didn't come with a charger. I'm very livid about that. I should have watch more reviews. I'm not spending $25 + shipping for a 10 to 15 BUSINESS days to get one little stupid part. At that point I send that shit back get my $200 refund and save up for a surface pro .
Did your unit not come with the cable at all? That's not right, it should come with the basic weirdly-split cable like the one in the video, that's not supposed to cost extra. But, definitely do let us know what you learn using your USB-C cable, I'm sure it'll help us all to know!

If I have pay huion sorry ass for plugin then I will. Refund or not I don't have money or time to replace it within lablet. Huion does have a good product I'm

Yeah, the tablet is just basically a thin computer monitor that has a compatible pen, it doesn't do anything by itself and it need to be plugged in to use it no matter what. It's not like a computer tablet or an iPad, it's technically classified as a "pen display" or a "graphics tablet" and not a "tablet", which is kind of misleading in general. @@ArtSchoolRehab definitely, I normally like to do my art outside in nature. I only wish I knew they were trying to get me a tablet, I would have told them. Now I'm stuck with this......but I managed to make use of it 👍🏽....also if you could please list some programs to use with it. So far all I used was what it came with. I have mobile ones too but idk how or if I can connect them.
@@raquelt1250 I use Photoshop and Illustrator for a lot, but that's mostly because I pay for the Creative Cloud and they're part of it and they're generally cross-compatible. For personal drawing, I prefer ClipStudio Paint, it goes on sale pretty often for like 50% off so keep an eye out. I believe it also has a mobile version but I haven't used it. And then I also do some pixel art and some isometric stuff, I use Aseprite and Hexels respectively for those.
