The new Huion Kamvas 13 pen display is pretty similar to the last year's model with two exceptions: the usb-c connection and the android compatibility.

As a sketch artist who can't understand how to colour .... I donno what to feel.
Don't worry mate been sketching all my life, never colored in a damn thing, could never color 😂 I don't see colors the way other artists see it, my things look horrible when colored.
Felt that. I’m a sketch artist too 😔
lol
at least digital coloring easier than me trying to color traditionally
Well.... im partially colour blind lol
I thought you were joking about the sandpaper
now they include the right cable
btw did u draw that profile pic coz i really like it 😃
What if he did
LMAO me too
Well, this is kinda strange but what kind of sand paper he use?

Crying while hugging my newly bought kamvas pro 13
Is the pro not as good as this? What’s the difference?
J ‘ Blaze the difference just the express keys and cheaper. I still believe Pro still the good one. I bought the Pro last year for 350$
@@stevphiericardo2790 This one has better pen
Is the kamvas pro 13 worth the ~£50 more than the kamvas 13? (It would be my first display tablet and working USB-C would be nice but isn't a deal breaker)
i think the pro version has less parallax than this one
TODAY TIME i got my drawing tablet! I ended up getting a Huion Kamvas 13 which was around $259 i'd say....(the one that Brad was talking about in this video). I use a Windows laptop, (i didnt have any problems with the cable...could have just been my laptop) and i love it! I highly recommend this tablet 👌 the pen is really nice and the screen is great. I got mine from amazon, and the package came with the glove, a stand, a cloth to clean the screen, the cables, and extra pen tips (inside of a little case that you hold your pen in). Its really nice so far, and i have draw lots of things with it! I use clip studio paint mainly, but honestly it works like a normal monitor. I am able to watch videos as well as switch between tabs, apps, and other things really easy. The drawing is good as well, for my first pen tablet, its really awesome and i highly recommend it!
Thank you for that info! ^^ This really seals the deal for me.
I plan to buy the Huion Kamvas 13 tomorrow, but it's great hearing other peoples reviews as well. Boosts my confidence in this purchase!
Hi there , does it support left handed?
how long did it take to charge for the first time? Mine won't turn on due to low battery and it's been charging for 6 hours and it just won't stay on for longer than a couple seconds!
@@jayc9626 It shouldn't need to charge - this means your laptop doesn't have enough power to charge the tablet and you need to use a power outlet.
Got mine a few weeks ago, but mine is REALLY laggy, does anyone know how to fix it? I am using sketchbook, krita, and photoshop, on a MacBook Air
Been waiting for this review in particular, I've been wanting to upgrade from my old regular huion tablet to a screen display and with this ones affordable price I thought it was good for the moment but wanted to hear what you had to say, probably going to get this version soon.
Update: Ordered it and it should be here in the middle of May.
Update: Got it, and it works perfectly.
How is it?
well how is it ?
@@jabir5768 it works exactly how I wanted.
@@AutumnOwlex thanks, I might get it too
Sort of late here but how do you setup the tablet? I don't really know too much about all this but I thought that with the smaller devices if the stand doesn't hold it very high I'll have to break my neck working on it
I would love to see kamvas 13 vs xp-pen pro 13.3
I'm a simple man:

do you want it?
same!
facts do you want it ?👀
Are you gonna get it?
Did you get it?
Hey Brad. Thanks for making this review. Hope you and others watching and in the comments are doing well during this crazy time. Stay safe everyone!
I recommended this tablet for my little cousin who is starting digital art.. I got scared from the negative reviews about Huion but this review is a relief. she bought it and I hope she is having fun with it.
Any further updates? Like pros and cons your cousin said based experience?
ARYFF Loc i asked her.. if she respond i will inform you. But she sends some pictures drawing on the tablet i think she is enjoying so far.
ARYFF Loc she says she loves it and draws all the time with it. She is like 13 y.o so i don’t think she knows how a tablet supposed to work 😂😭
@@hnn1335 It's okay. But hey, if she got no trouble connecting the device and use it maybe it's good a product anyway
@@hnn1335 how about now? lol
The diagonal line with ruler test, quite impressive. I wouldn't buy a small tablet (not below 22), but for those after a 13 inches pen display, I'd go for this one.
Brad, thanks so much for your reviews. I picked up the Green version of this tablet and it is FANTASTIC! I am enjoying it very much so far. By the way, I used my MacBook's USB-C hub/adapter in reverse to hook it up to my Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphone and the tablet worked fine with DeX and the 3-in-1 cable. No special USB-C cable needed. Regardless, I ordered the special cable from Huion to use it with just a single USB-C cable on my MacBook Pro in the future. Amazon will ship this faster if you get the tablet bundle without the stand. I ordered the Parblo tablet stand since it has more height adjustment options than the Huion stand.
Would you recommend this over Wacom? I’ve been looking for my first drawing tablet but I’m not sure if I should commit to spending all the money on a Wacom tablet.
I am getting this for Christmas this year and I want to research. Thank you for reviewing it so I have knowledge about it!
thorough review, thanks! getting one of these right now so I can diagram stuff for my students while running a hackathon. Totally ready to sandpaper a usb cable.
You can turn on the pressure sensitivity in the settings of ibisPaint. Huion supports it
Thanks. Seeing the actual size of the tablet in comparison to other objects and having someone test a 3rd party USBC cable helped me make the decision to buy this tablet 👍
You have Delete All old drivers you had for your past tablets, and download this one that you have to fix photoshop blob Lines!
👀 how do i retweet this so i can remember sksjsh
@Mush.Boi tbh not just huion. my first tab was an xp-pen. before my wacom worked i had to uninstall the xp-pen driver. it confuses your computer i think. unless it's fixed now somehow?
@Mush.Boi i mean you wouldn't really need multiple tablet drivers. what's the need for that
Or just stay away from shitty Apple products
@Mush.Boi Did you even read my comment? I said Apple
Thank you Brad for this review looking forward to get this
I just got Huion Kamvas Pro 13 a week ago and so far, I'm loving it. I hadn't experienced any issues and difficulties. Overall, this is a great drawing/graphics tablet.
Edit: Getting real better with my art style digitally! I think it's pretty neat
can I open other apps or is it only for drawing ?
@@unforgettablec The tablet comes with 2 cords in order to connect to the laptop. The screen tht ur laptop shows also shows it on the tablet. U can download art software from your laptop to the tablet
@@orangetasersauz_ thank you so much
Will it not really function alone? I mean, without a laptop or computer?
@@virtualtambayan9855 it ain't gonna work like tht tho :/
I was waiting for you to review this tablet! I just got the Huion Dial last year, then they announced this one and I wished that it had the same android features. (The dial has android and apple support though its input only not a display) But like you said the support is not there yet. So I'm feeling the byers remorse a lot less now. Thank you.
Also I hope Huion comes up with something innovative with their next iterarion of an affordable kamvas line, they've been killing it with the quality and budget friendly option.
Honestly thanks for the review - even two years later. Specifically your information on the cables. I'm looking at this and couldn't find a straight answer on the cable situation before this.
Got the answer I was looking for concerning the cable. Thanks for going into that Brad, saved me $30 and the hassle and time of returning.
what cable did you buy? anddd do you sandpaper it?
Awesome review. It's nice to see that HUION is growing more and more widespread as cheaper alternative to the big brands that inflates the price just because TEH BRAND.
I was a wacom ally but the way they treat their customers is despicable.
I purchased this after watching. I wanted something truly portable, but for my first drawing tablet I didn't want to break the bank (especially due to being laid of because of well...you know) and I didn't want to sacrifice quality and I felt like I would be with android drawing tablets like the chui hi9 plus and the picasso tab. I have a laptop, not a computer so it'll still be kinda sorta portable. Hopefully it works out for me. Thanks for the video!
I have a question, I got one like this too recently. However where the pen touches and where the pen draws randomly decalibrates and that's really annoying. Then randomly gets ok again. And on the Concepts app where the circle menu thing is on the top left, the pen is never well calibrated in that area of the screen. Other than this I REALLY LIKE IT so please give me advice on how I could try fixing this or if I should send it back and get a replacement? Thank you very much in advance!
Laptop is technically a computer. A portable computer.
You explained everything I didn't know I needed. Thank you.
i have been waiting for this video in weeks
Jeez, the line got even smoother
The Huion Kamvas Studio 22 all-in-one PC is here, hope you'd get to review that too.
What???it has a computer inside?????
What? Is it like an ipad you can draw on but better?
After looking at it,...meh. Too many shortcuts taken. Its far from a powerhouse. It's probably exciting for many Huion loyalists, but otherwise....just meh.
@@abdulmalik-qx3kd yup, with core i5 8th generation.
@@amna0alhawaj well it's much, much bigger than an iPad. Think of it as a Surface Studio.
I just got this display, it's gonna arrive in a week or so, great video as always!
Very entertaining review! I love this cuz I'm planning to get one
If you go into DeX settings, under experimental features there is an option to force apps to go full screen. If you enable that then nearly every app will then be able to work in full screen.
Yeah it's broken. Very badly. I try to use dex for open camera (feed the output into my pc and use it as a studio camera) messes up real bad. In fact every camera app messes up terribly including Samsung's own app.

I am getting this one for my bday! Thanks for showing me this is a good drawing tablet!
This is going to be my screen tablet so yay!! Watching reviews before i get it
Aww I was hoping you’d cover more on the pen technology 3.0 vs the wacom pro pen 2
I think the next drawing tablets is to make it more comfortable and more compatible on more platforms. Like more androids, cables actually connect, and more.
Honest and solid review thank you
great review. i got a lot of insight out of it. thanks!
Great video! I’m quite drawn by the price. I’m currently using the 12.9” IPad Pro (2nd gen) with the Apple Pencil, which works quite well using native iPad apps such as procreate. But, when using Side Car on my MacBook Pro, it’s comparatively laggy and the interface seems limited.
Would you know how it would compare in terms of pressure sensitivity and refresh rate, and would you recommend it as a viable alternative to the iPad Pro?
i bought this recently as my first pen display to venture into digital art and i love this thing so much! thank you so much for the review and for helping me decide on this pen display! also one thing about the usb-c connection not only do you need the right usb-c cord but you also need the proper usb-c port in order for the connection on your computer or laptop to work as well, the port needs to support thunderbolt in order to work if not then the usb-c connection will not work unfortunately
damn that's unfortunate. i got a amd laptop instead of the intel version with thunder bolt. so far i only have regrets despite the better performance.
What is this thunderbolt feature?
Thank you for your work here. Very helpful.
First review video I looked up for a drawing tablet...I'm sold. lol
i’m watching reviews for this and the pro, to see which one i should buy.

@THE blad do you think it's good idea to buy it from aliexpres? It's little bit cheaper here.
@THE blad you have it from aliexpress?
Hi Brad, thanks a lot for the great videos. I will start new as a beginner/hobbyist.
I can't decide between 13 pro and this one, do you think anti glare material on this one instead of an anti glare glass is a problem I would feel?

Splendid review. Thank you.
Bro you need like 1 mil subs, YOUR VIDS ARE SO GOOD
How to spot if its the 2020 model? And what is the difference between this and the kamvas pro 13?
As a left-handed user, I have 3 issues for this device:
1. For those who will use it for android phones/tablet, kamvas 13 is calibrated out of the box for right hand use. The pen stroke is leaning a bit on the upper left of the pen tip and the display cannot be rotated for lefthanders. In pen tablet only mode, no cursor appears on your android device
2. When connected to my Mac/PC, the tablet gets a bit warm on the upper right part. And since I am a lefty where the screen is rotated to 180 degrees, the warm part is now on the lower left. The same location where you rest your hand while drawing. This would feel uncomfortable and annoying when trying to get your things done.
3. Because of the issue of number 2, I am using it now on right hand mode. Which means the shortcut keys are no longer easily accessible for my right hand
Aside from this, everything else is as advertised. Just not the best choice for left-handed artists
Thanks for the helpful review!!!
Really decent review, thanks! :)
Hiya yall :D If you ever plan on buying the huion usb-c to usb-c cable, check the transfer speed of your laptop's usb-c cable first. Since huion doesn't really discuss this, not a lot of people know (I had to find out in a comment section). Anyways, some laptops only have a maximum transfer rate of 5gb/s for their usb-c ports but the tablet and it's cable requires 10 gb/s. You can probably look it up online. (I didn't know about it before buying the cable so now that's good money down the drain ; v ;)
Thank youuu QwQ
Hi Brad! Do you have time to compare a Kamvas Pro 13 with updated firmware to this new model? I updated my Pro with the newest June firmware, and it behaves as smoothly as you describe this model, plus has Android support! The updates are super-easy now, the tool is on the support website. The new firmware really brings them close. Compared to the 2020, I still like the Pro's ventilated metal casing and etched glass, and now the calibration is better with the wobble completely gone. Is this a comparison others would like to see?
This is my very first pen display tablet :D also you have good reviews on this tablet
I might not buy this because of the USB-C cable and the fact that it isn't touch screen BUT thanks for talking about infinite painter!! Sadly Hui-on sketch is down from the play store so I can't just directly update it anymore but WOW Infinite painter was just what I needed!! It's like the smoother version of Hui-on sketch and the large canvas is SO SO helpful. Thanks for the honest review!
Ah yes, I would very much like to know how I can avoid having to sandpaper my electronic devices
7:51, that's the best life hack I've seen in my life
finally, huion kamvas 13 review I see, every pen tablet have pro and cons
Thanks for honest review.
Dang, I want the purple one so bad. I entered Huion’s giveaway for it though
Would you recommend this or the xp pen artist display 13.3 pro
Well.. the quality is kinda equal. But I did see that the xp pen artist 13 does not have tilt support. By price both are affordable
Excellent review as usual. I like.
Also, about that that Blaze's games. The terms states that it's up to March 24 only. Soo... I wonder if applications are still accepted at this point.
I've been trying to measure the width of the USB-C cable, from pictures, Huion USB C cable is about 11.44mm in width (plastic head). So far, most Amazon cables are at least 12.2mm+
The only cables that have a width smaller than 12 are Yeun Qee (11.16mm), CBUS (11.55mm) and Leirui (11.89), NeckTeck (11.9mm).
Will be ordering Huion Kamvas next week and have a better measurement.
can all of them been sandpaper , if the width is not enough
Seems like a good deal if you're buying it for windows.
@@j.allenfilms2589 i know its late , but maybe he means the lack of USB ports in MacBook?
I checked your website to see the top pen tabs. Does this replace the xp-pen artist 13.3? In the number 1 spot?
I would like to know aswell
Leaving a comment too so I'll know haha
Same question
I think it would fit in the number 3 or 2 spot
He added it to his #2 spot and the Huion Kamvas 12 as #3. The XP Pen still being #1

How long does these tablet survives i know that wacom survives longer but still want a comparison of these product and how these drivers last
Ive had my Huion Kamvas gt191 for about... 3 years now. It still works perfectly fine. It came with an extra pen, but he first pen hasn't died on me yet. Id say it lastes for a long time if you're careful with it.
What about the drivers,i heard that drivers are not so good
Ive had mine for a year now I think, its still working fine
yess, I've been thinking of getting a pen display since I finally have a laptop, but I'm not sure if I'll like it. I've been using my iPad 6th gen with an apple pencil for quite a while now, and I'm scared making the change from the iPad to pen display won't work out for me. Plus, there's also having to pay for a software monthly. Any advice?
Get this one and you can buy clip studio paint which is powerfull and affordable.
Clip studio paint is one time purchase. And it's used by pros in the industry and really powerful.
Just pirate if you are earning $0 from your drawings but you absolutely need photoshop to learn.
Or buy affinity photo its cheap and one time payment.

Also, the xp pen doesn't seem to have these problems with hooks and blobs at the end of lines.
*Edit:* Also note: I am talking about The xp pen artist 13 *Pro* not the old artist 12.
I had recently bought the Kamvas 13 and I gotta say it just came in the mail and the whole screen was broken. Obviously I was super disappointed and customer support is just waiting twiddling their thumbs not doing anything. Meanwhile, I tried to leave a review about how they just delivered a busted one (and I know it wasn't the carrier because the boxes were perfectly fine) and I learned that the reviews are pre-moderated. So not only can I not leave a bad review to show how disappointed I was it seems like no one else can.
I want to say that I decided to get this tablet, but mine came with a glossy display. I ended up purchasing the matte screen protector from the huion website but I'm a little dissapointed with that. Other than that I'm really happy with it, thanks for the review.

One way that i know of would be to buy a custom made "USB C to C", or "C to A" cable that has all the wiring necessary for data and power. All that is placed on both ends of the cable are heat shrink tubes. Not a must(imo), but it looks better. Prices may vary depending on where you get it and how you want it look since they are more targeted towards keyboard enthusiasts. That's the only way i know. Unless you make your own which i assume is not an extent most people would want to go.
