something to note (the tablets accuracy is highly unstable. depending on how you hold the pen the cursor or pointer becomes off set, this is most noticeable when doing line art, like when when you tilt the pen in different directions(its on the side of the nib and not below it ) i have been trying to fix this because its annoying, but it seems no amount of calibrations works! i hope they update the driver to make it an option to remove the tilt function, which i think is causing the problem
I was torn between the slide pad and the aluminum body of the pro, but the added buttons, android comparability, and cabling options, in addition to the new pen sealed the deal. Thanks for all the content, you always do the best and I really appreciate that.
I bought the Kamvas pro 24” but it’s too big n clunky. I can’t find a comfortable set up with my keyboard and 2nd monitor. I just ordered this for a few reasons. The anti glare glass is not my preference. I like the paper-like smoothness to draw on but with light backgrounds the noise from the matte finish is terrible. Bothers my eyes so much over time where I don’t even wanna draw. With the kamvas 13 at least u can remove it and u can replace it with a regular clear screen protector found on Amazon. I’m planning on using the felt nibs instead also on Amazon. Plus the green n purple color options looks so cool 😎
Huion products are generally great... Just don't drop the pen... Mine fell off the desk a few times too many and I have to get a new one, it works it just now draws/presses when it's hovering. There is a barrel-type magnet inside the pen which broke it's my fault for being careless it's strong but not that strong. Also, I clearly need a larger desk.
I only just ordered this product today! It said it would come on the 20th to the 25th so not that far away! I got it for more money because of where I lived which sucked but I found the cheapest one, and plus we also got to make a discount on it so that saved me about $50 which is nice. I had to get the USB-C to USB-C cables to connect to my Android phone so that also made it more expensive. I think this drawing tablet suits me because it can connect to android phones (depends what one but there is a lot of choices!), it's a really good size for newbies with drawing tablets (this is my first drawing pad), and reviews on it are great! There's only a few problems with it but not many! This video helped me as well thank you! I cant wait to get this drawing tablet in a week or a bit more!
May I ask if which one is better in your opinion? *Huion Kamvas 13 or XP Pen Artist 13.3 Pro?* because I am torn between those 2 also is it both good with AutoSketch and Krita? because those 2 are my main drawing software
Hello Teoh! I've been looking into this or the Pro version. Been using a Samsung Galaxy Tab A with S Pen for all my digital art for about a year now. I like it a lot but a bigger screen and being able to handle much higher definition pieces with the power of my PC would be very nice. Just don't have the money to be able to pick it up right now. Hopefully some day.
This is a good review! Hope to see more like this. You gave us an in-depth review of kamvas 13... I'm choosing what to buy between kamvas 13 and wacom one. This video helped me a lot.
Wow this is really good display tablet, considering the price tag. Between the two, do you think Huion 13 is better than XP Pen 13 pro? I'm considering buying one of them, but I'm in constant confused over which one should I buy.. could you please give me your wisdom? Edit: or should I get the bigger size (16inch ver.)?? Btw, thank you for the good review and cover! 😄
If you are serious about your work and can afford the $100 price bump, you may want to go the 16 inch version. Feature wise the two are identical. They seem to use the same usb-c cable. The 13 will be slightly smaller than standard printer paper, while the 16 will be slightly taller and much wider. Remember though both are just 1080p resolution, so while you are getting a larger screen, you are also getting a lower pixel density. You do gain 2 more express buttons on the 16 pro, which is a nice addition. I have the pro 16 and wish it had more TBH. More buttons means less reaching for the mouse or using the pen to navigate windows menus. Whichever you get, make sure you have a place to leave it attached. The 3 in one cable is notoriously faulty and dies with little force. Read reviews online and a lot of people are complaining about bad cables after a month or two. They likely are using aluminum wiring to save cost, which means fragile cables. In the end realize you are saving a ton over buying Wacom. That $300 screen would be closer to $700 feature matched in a Wacom. So replacing a cable ever now and again may be worth it early on. Even at $40 a cable.
Drawing performance is pretty similar for both. There are some issues with drawing apps on the XP Pen though (see text review below). Huion pricing is incredible so even adding the stand, it’s still cheaper than XP Pen. So Huion pen display is very tempting for its price www.parkablogs.com/content/review-xp-pen-artist-133-pro-pen-display
@@harubaru4912 hello! I've been using the tablet for over a year now and it has been great! It massively helped my workflow. The only issues I've encountered are some software related ones but it does not happen frequently. At times drawing in photoshop causes me weird lines, but restarting the program fixes it so it really isn't a big of an issue. Also, if you're left handed, I suggest looking for other tablet alternatives other than the Kamva 13. I experience heat on my left hand while working with the left handed option (tablet rotated 180 degrees). I just use my tablet now on the right hand option and not using the macro buttons on the side because the heat could not be unnoticed.

Update comment after six month of use: Already claimed the guarantee, The display became yellowish from the middle making a rectangle shape. Quality is not good
I need to test such products on Windows and Mac, that's why I have Windows installed on this MBP. You can install Windows using the Bootcamp app in MacOS.
How responsive is the pen at the edges of the screen? I tend to press buttons & select brushes with the pen instead of using shortcuts; it would be a drag if the parallax got wonky there and caused me trouble. Sorry if this was mentioned in the video, I swear I watched it four times!
I no longer have this unit to test so I cant' really remember. But if I did not mention anything, cursor tracking should work alright. Worst case scenario is the cursor may stray a 2-3 pixels when the pen nib is at the extreme edge.
Got this Kamvas 13. It's good except that I experience the driver randomly disconnect and reconnect cycling a few times. It's very annoying. I tried it with their older driver the problem still persists, so I plug the additional USB Type-A into the wall but the problem still persists. I suspect I have an intermittent hardware issue if the rest of the users don't have the problem. In the end, I ordered a Kamvas 16 pro, hope I will have more luck with it.
Actually you may want to calibrate your display. I have the Huion Kamvas 16 pro and out of the box it was way off. On some parts of the screen it was nearly a full centimetre off. You may also need to calibrate it after some use. I noticed for the first few days the calibration would drift. Once calibrated though, it worked great and even worked fine on my linux box. I did not test tilt, which likely would not work without the windows driver.
This really helps. I have a background with graphic design many moons ago when PS was first on the market. No tablets then, just roller ball mouse or drawing pad. I bought this for my 12 yo as she is starting to get into digital art drawing and I don't have any experience using one. This was very helpful.

I just bought my first drawing tablet (video) and I cant wrap my head around the setup? This tablet is a 21 inch UGEE but only 1080p like most of them. The problem is that all my other monitors are 4k and all my photoshop files are all high 4k plus images and if I mirror the main monitor, it forces them both to regular old 1080p. I there another way to set this thing up so I can switch from the drawing tablet (1080p) to my main editing monitor which is 4k? Any help would be appreciated as I am new to these tablets.
Hi, I've just bought this drawing tablet and I'm having issues to get how to make it function! First thing first, when I connect it to my laptop (windows 10) the computer screen appears in the center of the tablet screen, way smaller than it should be. It doesn't fill the whole screen and I don't know why. Even the main page of huion tablet driver shows differently for me. Help!
A question, would you recommend to buy a cheap pen tablet as my first tablet or save up a little more money and buy this? This is the only pen display I can afford if I save up and I would like to have a pen display, but I want to know if it would be a better choice than a medium sized pen tablet.
If you really have limited budget then a medium sized tablet is going to give you more value for the money. But a pen display is going to give you more satisfaction when drawing since the lines appear directly beneath the pen.
Hello brother, so i have bought it seeing your review. I loved it. But i can see light leaking from four corners of the screen when the room is dark. Is that an issue or is it due to the low resolution display?
@@arshadajas6792 There may be some light leaking at the edges when viewed in a dark room. It's not really an issue unless you're always using the pen display in that scenario. It's not uncommon to have light leaking with LCD displays. The amount of light leak will vary of course. I've reviewed many monitors, including pen displays, and many have some form of light leaking. If the light leak is not too obvious, it shouldn't be too irritating to look at, hopefully.
It’s not very irritating. It can be managed. I also use it as a second screen for my work. So when viewing pitch black content or using it in dark atmosphere i notice it sometimes. This is a great device. Im happy with my purchase. Thank you
so i just realize this is using HDMI and my assumption is since my laptop is output a display via DP that mean it won't work, and i have to use the usb c to usb c (Thunderbolt 3 or 4) which not included in the box but if i buy one that mean i can't use my usual setup which is laptop to monitor via thunderbolt 4, regardless this is still a useful review

This is the display I want to get, but on the official store I have to choose between no warranty or pay a lot ofoney for 6 months/1 year warranty or something like that. I don't get why it's different here in Switzerland
Do you by official store mean the Swiss version of it? I noticed their original store indeed has that, but I ordered mine from the Dutch Huion store, as that was cheaper and easier for me, and there I just have the regular warranty included. It might be a law thing as well, depending from country to country Edit: I'm not sure if they also deliver in Switzerland, but I saw the German store also gives the standard 2 year warranty. So, if you can, order from there. Unfortunately, this display is sold out so you would have to wait until it's back in stock

I wouldn't say not having a touchscreen is a negative in that price range even most of $600 display tablet doesn't come with one.
something to note (the tablets accuracy is highly unstable. depending on how you hold the pen the cursor or pointer becomes off set, this is most noticeable when doing line art, like when when you tilt the pen in different directions(its on the side of the nib and not below it ) i have been trying to fix this because its annoying, but it seems no amount of calibrations works! i hope they update the driver to make it an option to remove the tilt function, which i think is causing the problem
Did it get fixed? I’m about to get one
@@yesyes9698 YES
@@artslaughter1262 wow that’s a lot of yeses! Nice that you can.
I'll buy this. Thanks for the honest review.
Huion products are generally great... Just don't drop the pen... Mine fell off the desk a few times too many and I have to get a new one, it works it just now draws/presses when it's hovering. There is a barrel-type magnet inside the pen which broke it's my fault for being careless it's strong but not that strong. Also, I clearly need a larger desk.
this change my standard, i want to have one!
I cant wait to get this drawing tablet in a week or a bit more!

because I am torn between those 2
also is it both good with AutoSketch and Krita? because those 2 are my main drawing software
I’m also not sure which one to get Did you end up making a decision?
That's not a lag on Photoshop, your smoothing setting is 10%, Turn the smoothing to 0 (on top bar).
The pro has trouble woth straighter lines, they come out all wobbly and there is a bit of lag. I would get This one

This or the XP Pen Artist 13.3 Pro? Given both are priced the same
This is a good review!
Same question here
If you are serious about your work and can afford the $100 price bump, you may want to go the 16 inch version.
@@harshbarj they don't use the same cable they don't even use the same pen, this is not very similar to the 16 inch tablet

Hi Teoh! Can you tell us more about your laptop setup? Why choose Win 10 for the macbook? How did you do that? Signed - Very Curious in Ohio. :D
So, is there any issue after you buy the 16 pro?
@@sabrinapalette6883 None. Use it every day for the past 6 months.
The cycles usually happens when I open steam on my Kamvas 13.
There wasn’t any offset for the pen and cursor that I could see so I did not had to calibrate it
This really helps. I have a background with graphic design many moons ago when PS was first on the market. No tablets then, just roller ball mouse or drawing pad. I bought this for my 12 yo as she is starting to get into digital art drawing and I don't have any experience using one. This was very helpful.

I got the kamvas 16 a couple of weeks ago and am in LOVE with it. A week in I had some pressure issues with photoshop but was able to figure it out. It was $400 (after taxes and shipping) well spent. I'm very happy with it. I'm also happy my husband was able to ground me about buying the huion vs getting the wacom ($700-1200). Now I get to build a new computer with the money I didn't spend on a wacom AND I get to enjoy a wonderful tablet! YAY!
What happened with Photoshop?
@@teohyc For whatever reason every time I went to sketch lightly it would suddenly thicken the lines a lot. Almost like when you are writing with a pen and then a lot of ink comes out of the tip causing it to blot on the paper. It was something in one of the Photoshop 2020 files that was causing it. I saved the pdf for future reference but would need to go back and look at it. It was extremely annoying and almost caused me to return the tablet. I'm lucky my husband is very tech savvy and a computer science nerd . With his help we were able to figure it out. :)

Will the huion kamvas 13 get updated for 2021?? Should i wait?
Not sure about that. But it's good as it is currently
Thank you
@@arshadajas6792 how has your experience been so far. What ports do your Graphic card require?
so i just realize this is using HDMI and my assumption is since my laptop is output a display via DP that mean it won't work, and i have to use the usb c to usb c (Thunderbolt 3 or 4) which not included in the box but if i buy one that mean i can't use my usual setup which is laptop to monitor via thunderbolt 4, regardless this is still a useful review

It might be a law thing as well, depending from country to country
