Check out the POP 2 on Kickstarter now: bit.ly/revopointPOP2
Took me AGES to put this together and it shouldn't have taken so long, but, if anyone wasn't aware I'm doing like a TON of things right now. Not the least of which is my DnD-themed rap album :-)

Check out Beastgrip: beastgrip.kckb.st/f303cf82 What can I say except I'm sorry this took so long! This was (mostly) shot in the fall of 2019, that's why the test footage looks so green and verdant rather than filled with snow or leafless trees. But then it sat and sat all winter and spring til now. My bad, guys. Beastgrip x Kenko Wide Angle Pro Series Lens: amzn.to/2VSfqZZ Beastgrip 1.33x Anam...

Huion KAMVAS Pro 12 Graphics Tablet Setup and Review
Просмотров 55 тыс.5 лет назад
Check it out here: amzn.to/2zY5CDo Hey guys, Dizzy here. Checkin out the Huion KAMVAS Pro 12 graphics tablet that Huion sent me, I'm honestly really impressed. Maybe I'm just an old fuddy-duddy, but back in my day a pen display was a big inconvenient thing that had to sit on your desk - these newfangled ones can be packed up beside your laptop. What a time to be alive. For art assets, tutorials...
I have this for 3 days and didn't figured out how to work on it. There is a program or software to install?
just got one from facebook market for 70 bucks. WORTH IT
is it a full hdmi port
Loved your review. These should arrive tomorrow for me. Can't wait to use them in my channel.
does this work on desktop?
This video was really helpful in figuring out what to buy as my first tablet. Not knowing anything about graphics tablets at all I don’t want to spend money on something only to find out it’s cheap garbage when it arrives. I’m going to go with this one. Your reviewing skills are top notch, Thank you!!!
You are a spectacular presenter and this was a great review.
So can you do anything without hooking up the tablet to the monitor?
Ok maybe you can help me! I got this for my daughter for Christmas. We have it set up to a desktop and we can see the tablet picture on the monitor but the tablet itself has no picture 😡. I've tried everything.
I cant find any tutorials on this, but how do I get it to show up on the tablet? like the screen. Because its plugged in, I have everything set up, but when I go to change the display, it says the tablet isnt plugged in
Please you skipped right over the most difficult part the screens will not talk to each other,,, how did u get ur drawing screen onto the tablet it does not want to live there ,,, I’m in tears this is the most difficult thing in the world
On dark, reflective, shiny surfaces try dry shampoo. Also baby power will work. Have a lot of even lighting,
Thanks for the tip! I did see a lot of people mentioning baby powder or corn starch because it dusts off easily, I figure if I tried either one it'd be baby powder. I'd be worried about accidentally getting the corn starch wet and having it end up sticky and gross. Once I start scanning more objects I'm positive I'll need to try the baby powder / hairspray / etc methods, but I don't know when that'll be - scanning people is taking FOREVER, and even though it's super interesting and fun it's still the only thing I've had time to do very much of. If I was less stubborn I would put the people-scans on pause and do some object/environment scans, but... I'm pretty stubborn lol. Thanks again!
I do not know if you will see my comment, but I try anyway! I bought my first screen tablet and after doing the setup, the tablet screen stays off! How do you get it to light up T_T ?
Im asking for this for my birthday in going to ask to get it for my bithday what with my brain today
On the note 10 plus as well and tbh I was expecting much more from the lens but probably should upgrade my phone or get an iphone.
thanks you so much you have no ideia of how your videos helped me
It’s great to see someone who knows just what they want, and buys accordingly!
Absolutely - I grew up poor, man, when I was coming up you bought the right thing the first time 'cause you weren't getting another one haha. And if you bought the wrong thing, you learned how to make it work. 'Cause you *WEREN'T GETTING ANOTHER ONE*.
hi Dizzy plz answer as soon as u this plz i got this tablet as a gift and I have an iMac and i don't know whether or not to download the website
Thanks man, you basically solved all the problems that I was experiencing, the only issue I have with it is that you can't have it independent of the computer because I don't have an extra HDMI cable and I was hoping to use it on the go without a laptop, but eh ya win some ya lose some.
danm he really went straight to the point, imma sub, thank you very much
Firstly thanks for this great in-depth review. Secondly, do you think these lights are suitable for food photography?
Dope review, thanks!
YES. I was trying to explain letterboxing and anamorphic to someone the other day. But also their project was 16:9 and they were adding letterboxes to it where they should have started the project at 2.39:1. IMO letterboxing is useless now because devices take care of the video orientation.
Sure would be cool of someone did a tutorial video for ignoramuses like me who have never used one of these and are clueless on how to even get started.
Its disabled my keyboard how do i fix that??? Also my pen wont work.... help????
I have several questions. I use autodesk sketch book. Would that work for this? Like does the screen on display of the laptop?
Is there a way to do it without the hdmi
really late on this but I like you owned up to user error were a lot of other people seem to love to write low reviews on things like not installing drivers then saying the product sucks because it's not working, your review was well done!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I always try my best to be fair, I think it's important to let people know when I make a mistake specifically because they may have made the same mistake (so they might be able to solve it the same way). I'd much rather figure the problem out than give up and blame the product 🙂
Dang I might just have to save some extra dosh for this 😂😂 wouldn't mind it
About the question would a usbc cable work in place of that mess of cables . I'm about to have the answer to that question. Give me 3 days. I wasn't aware that it didn't come with a charger. I'm very livid about that. I should have watch more reviews. I'm not spending $25 + shipping for a 10 to 15 BUSINESS days to get one little stupid part. At that point I send that shit back get my $200 refund and save up for a surface pro .
Did your unit not come with the cable at all? That's not right, it should come with the basic weirdly-split cable like the one in the video, that's not supposed to cost extra. But, definitely do let us know what you learn using your USB-C cable, I'm sure it'll help us all to know!
@@ArtSchoolRehab well it didn't come with the charger. The plugin thing. I got the three prong cable thing. You said in video a usbc cable could as charger as well as several other things. If I have pay huion sorry ass for plugin then I will. Refund or not I don't have money or time to replace it within lablet. Huion does have a good product I'm just a little piss about all the hoops I have to jump through just to turn this thing on.
No it didn't work fuck it wacom one. I sending huion back for a. Wacom one.
TYSMM!! I was just here like 3h and then I found u, tysm
I'm happy I could help!
Good video!
Thank you for this. I got this as a gift and I had never used a drawing tablet so this was very helpful.
I'm glad I could help - I may have a follow-up coming out, I'm writing a script for one right now based on the questions I've had here in the comments section. There's a lot of people with the same questions and concerns here, I wanted to be able to send everyone to a new video that kind of explains things a little bit more. For example, a lot of people didn't realize that this is just a screen with a pen - if I can explain that up front, maybe less people would be confused why it doesn't have software on it. At least, I hope so. It's a good pen display, I hate for so many people to be mislead by it and to end up having a negative opinion of it.
Just like this guys tablet throughout the beginning mine is not full screen on the tablet - how do I make it full sceen !?
See I’m currently running into a weird problem where whatever I try doing on the tablet affects the computer and whatever I do on the computer is what happens on the tablet and I don’t know how to stop that
I got this as my graduation gift and I’m so happy to have my very first screen tablet.
Congrats!
What software are you using with your tablet? We thought software was actually loaded on the tablet and it isn’t
I use Photoshop - but yes, the tablet is JUST a tablet, it's literally just a computer monitor that has a compatible pen, it doesn't do anything by itself and it need to be plugged in to use it no matter what. I think a LOT of people have been a little mislead (or were just mistaken) about the tablet's function, I'm thinking of doing a follow-up to this where I talk about exactly how the tablet works (and doesn't work) to try to clear that up a little. You're definitely NOT the only person who's asked about stuff like this, I'm hoping I can try to help whoever I can so they're not confused when they get it and it's just a screen. Do you think it would help if I did that?
I really do think it would help and the different software that is compatible and how it works. My son is really confused
Do either of them have a battery capacity? Someone got me one and now I feel bad because I won't be able to use it. I don't draw indoors so...no outlet 😔
Yeah, the tablet is just basically a thin computer monitor that has a compatible pen, it doesn't do anything by itself and it need to be plugged in to use it no matter what. It's not like a computer tablet or an iPad, it's technically classified as a "pen display" or a "graphics tablet" and not a "tablet", which is kind of misleading in general. @@ArtSchoolRehab definitely, I normally like to do my art outside in nature. I only wish I knew they were trying to get me a tablet, I would have told them. Now I'm stuck with this......but I managed to make use of it 👍🏽....also if you could please list some programs to use with it. So far all I used was what it came with. I have mobile ones too but idk how or if I can connect them.
@@raquelt1250 I use Photoshop and Illustrator for a lot, but that's mostly because I pay for the Creative Cloud and they're part of it and they're generally cross-compatible. For personal drawing, I prefer ClipStudio Paint, it goes on sale pretty often for like 50% off so keep an eye out. I believe it also has a mobile version but I haven't used it. And then I also do some pixel art and some isometric stuff, I use Aseprite and Hexels respectively for those.
@@ArtSchoolRehab thank you so much for responding and answering my questions.
Do either of them have a battery capacity? Someone got me one and now I feel bad because I won't be able to use it. I don't draw indoors so...no outlet 😔
uhhh what if my tablet won't on?
connect all the cables or search for missing ones, or just click the power button (the one on the very top)
this has been very helpful thank you a lot
What about durability? For example: dropping it without a phone attached. I just received mine a few days ago and it feels sturdy and appears to be made of some type of hard plastic/metal compound, but the little black-coated rods that attach to the handles are already scratched a bit.
If i hava two lights led , how sincronize betwen has , because i have two but in the App just working one
this review/setup needs to be taken down for notes for those who want to do the same type of video, because my god it was so good. I didnt even skip the video once. I got everything I wanted and needed.
I'm happy to hear that the review helped you :-)
I am having trouble I downloaded the driver but I don’t have an account and it wants me to pay 10 dollars for an account do I have to pay money?
You should not need to pay anything, the drivers are free to download and the program shouldn't ask you for any money or any membership. Double check that you downloaded the drivers from the official Huion site and not any other website, and if you're still having trouble then definitely contact Huion directly by going to the site. Let them know about your problem and ask them to help, their customer service team is very responsive in my experience :-)
@@ArtSchoolRehab thank you I figured it out but now my pen has an offset and it’s really bugging me I think I might just send it back. Help please
Please give me some advice. I am getting the Beastgrip for my iphone 11 pro. I will mount it to a bar on the center councole of my boat.I want to shoot boating and fishing activities in Plaquemines Parish, LA inlanads and place the video on youtube. (Plaquemines is the peninsula of LA.) 1. Which lens would you recommend: the Kenko .75 wide angle or the Anomorphic lens? I was going to get the Kenko until I saw your video. I usually shoot with filmicPro but sometimes have to just use the camera because I'm doing something on Facebook live (not supported by filmic.) 2. Additonally, because I'm on the water, I don't know whether a polorized filter or a UV A1 skylight filter. What do you think?
I think you're better off with the Kenko, mostly because the anamorphic won't do much for you in broad daylight. The anamorphic is really best used for cinematic footage that'll highlight the light streaks. I'd say don't touch the anamorphic unless you're making music videos or short films, it's not gonna benefit a vlog in any meaningful way. I think you'll also get more out of a Circular Polarizer out on the water. A CPL filter will cut down on reflections pretty effectively, but honestly I'll be curious to know how well it works on choppy water in a video format (as opposed to still water and/or a long exposure photograph). Once your setup is ready and you start shooting, leave me a link to your results, I'd love to check it out. I might also recommend a mounted gimbal - maybe the CAME-TV "Spry Gimbal" because it has a mountable baseplate with internal power. That way, any little boat shudders from moving across the waves won't cause big shakes in the footage. The gimbal I mentioned is only about a hundred bucks, but you'll also have to buy a few of the batteries that go into the baseplate, I'm not sure of the cost there but it's likely not much. Good luck!
@@ArtSchoolRehab I have only made two RUclips videos so I'm still learning videography. I will continue to post at: What's Happening Around New Orleans. Here is one of the videos. ruclips.net/video/L49YERvc2oY/видео.html I'll give the Kenko lens a try with the polarizer filter. Thanks for the advice.
i have a problem, i installed everything but idk why it shows me only whiteboard _( how can i do to make it look like yours with black board and all those functions, thank you veryy much
Really enjoyed this. Just confirmed my choice to go with beastgrip and lenses. Subbed
Great video. Keep up the good work.
